On this episode, we were joined by Tim Anderson for the debut of our new podcast series "Practitioners of NEPA" in which we feature local practitioners of the esoteric. We had a fantastic conversation with the typical laughter we always have when Tim is around.  To bring laughter is a gift after emerging from the darkness of addiction and the traumatic experiences of a challenging childhood.  Tim talks about how his intuitive work and reliance on his ancestors for support were key in providing the support structure he needed to beat the monster of chemical dependency.  A purer demonstration of will would be difficult to point to.  We are so proud of Tim and the absolute achievement his life has become and what an example for others suffering under the same circumstance.

In this episode, we were joined by Mark Stavish, the Director of the Institute for Hermetic Studies for a great conversation across a myriad of topics.  Mark gave us a few predictions for 2024 along with his no-holds-barred thoughts regarding the state of the esoteric today, and the importance of finding yourself as well as a group of like-minded practitioners.  As a rule, we do not edit our podcast episodes.  They are recorded as a live session with no script.  Our episodes are always a showcase of free-flowing conversation and the guest's opinions are their own as they are entitled to be.  We all must learn to work together and that includes working with others whose opinions do not always align.   This was a large part of the conversation in that we are too often separated from others because they do not match our personal criteria for acceptance or even listening.  How much we miss by making knee-jerk, emotional decisions because someone didn't use the 'right' words or feel like we do. We are fortunate to have someone of Mark's caliber in our midst and his exceptionally thorough knowledge combines perfectly with his ability to explain complex topics simply; it is truly a blessing, especially for those dipping their toe into the very deep pool of the esoteric.  

In this episode, we discussed our first steps in Paganism and the Craft, Coven initiation & the turmoil of being a Witch in the South. Our episode started with our beginnings in Michigan & North Carolina and how we came to not only make our home in NEPA but also to found one of the largest & most diverse esoteric/occult boutiques in this part of the country.

On this episode we talked a bit about addiction, addicts and the people including themselves that suffer... and on taking responsibility for one's self without excuse. We touched on the experiences so far with the store's new Archbald location and on the state of things.. as they are.

On this episode we discussed situational awareness, presence & pattern recognition and of course the occasional ascent to the soapbox...   Please remember to shop small and keep your heads up - this too shall pass.

This episode we touched on a few things from the sheer lunacy of the day to the determination and kindness of the oppressed. How shopping at the local grocery store went from an empathetic nightmare to the realization of the revolutionary kindness exhibited by the affected... and how true justice.. MUST prevail.

Guess who's back... on this episode after a long break due to... things.... we discussed the recent store relocation to Archbald, PA, smooth pavement, weird inspectors and of course the absolute shiteshow going on absolutely everywhere all at once... Soapbox deployed.    

On this episode, we discussed the ongoing issues from disappearing people to the shock & awe campaign being waged against everyone in the streets or in the pocketbook.  These are dark days brought to us by people that refused to pay attention and voted with their lack of empathy.  If it hasn't affected you yet... it will. We talked about the need for even more community effort now more than ever, it is vital that we refuse the propaganda, the hate, the vitriol... the stupidity & horror in equal amounts on display every single day. Do not be afraid. We are the masters of our fate.

On this episode we touched on a lot of 'touchy' subjects including but not limited to the tyranny being displayed front & center in this country on a daily basis.  From disappearing people without due process to the rendering of civil rights to the new age 'alien' nonsense and most importantly on not being neutral in the age of a tyrannical government.   We will always take the side of the marginalized, the outcast and those who have found themselves on the receiving end of bigotry, hate and outright nonsense.   There is no space for neutrality in the face of tyranny.

On this episode we discussed current events being played out by the parade of imbeciles hell-bent on an oligarchic monarchy, the denial of due process and the weight of it all at the end. History will remember and so will we all.  What did you do in these days...

On this episode we discussed the current clown show circus ongoing in our country and the evil behind it as well as how to deal with it.  We talked about the importance of creating a sanctuary in the home but also how to not fall into the trap of overreliance on that space.

On this episode we discussed the ongoing assault on the rights and benefits of the everyday American by the Broligarchic Wannabe "ruling class" and how best to stand up to it. Channel your inner John Lewis, and Fredrick Douglass and make 'good trouble'.  Become in the way, obstruct, delay and stand up for your fellow human.  This is a fight we cannot lose.. also get armed, get a self defense course and become aware.

We discussed the absolute madness taking place in the country since the election.  January has been the longest year we can remember.  Remember to build community, identify who is good at what & work together to combat this fascist nonsense. Nothing lasts forever, and this too shall one day pass and be recorded in history for what it is and for what these people are. Strength in numbers and yes... The Truth Against the World.

Mythology & Politics   We were delighted to sit down again with local author & professor H. Dean Fisher in what we think is likely one of our best episodes ever. (Definitely our longest conversation that we didn't want to end!) We discussed mythology & its impact on society, current events and politics. Will it take a Solve et coagula event to break the spell or will we as a society snap out of it before the convoy of destruction takes us all down with it...  Time will Tell.   More from H. We discussed on our premiere episode of season three... the concepts of starseeds, indigo children and other assorted bits of absolute nonsense.  This nonsense includes the racial overtones and ridiculous assertions of exceptionalism contained therein.  To be a good and decent person, a productive member of society and most of all to be true to one's self.. therein lies a princple secret of esoterica and of actual growth.

On this episode, our season finale; we discussed the apparent cheat code revealed by recent events... (as if most of us didn't already know!) - the 'secret' is that the issue is NOT a left or right one... rather it is UP and DOWN. The war on the middle class and the marginalized has been going on for generations but it seems to have become exceptionally pronounced of late. The recent event in Manhatten seems to have brought more attention to the robber barons that have been exploiting and destroying lives on their way to the 1% club...  Hope you enjoy and see you in January for the start of Season 3 of In the Weedz.

On this episode we discussed the reality of the proverbial dog that caught the car in reference to the recent election and the current and soon to be coming state of affairs. Now is not the time to be fearful or clutching pearls... it's time to pull our cloaks up and go to work.  We also discussed a few things ranging from etiquette to developing a relationship with spirit.  Times of darkness do not have to equal despair - especially when the despair is being spread or attempted to by a gaggle of idiots in a clown car.

We also discussed the vital importance of voting this year considering the overarching theme of fascist ideologies being pushed.  It is up to us all to keep our community free and safe.  This is not the time to be on the fence or to sit it out on the sidelines.  Get up, Get out and Vote.
