Coach Bednar is still recovering from that errant puck he took to the face, so we let him sleep in this morning. We also don't know if he can talk? How easy is it to talk with a broken face and a scratched cornea? Either way, he earned a day off. No Moser, no Vic, no Bednar, no problem! The show must go on! Erik Johnson tapped in for the injured Coach and had a nice one-on-one chat with Kaner this morning.
Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar joined us this morning! We let him sleep in a little bit, but he still had to wake up and talk to us, unfortunately. Does Coach have an update on Kadri? Does he plan on resting any of his big guns in these last few games before the playoffs? What's on Coach's mind this morning?
You can all exhale now. Coach Bednar says Cale Makar's injury isn't serious. He'll miss a few games with precautionary rest, and he'll be back in time to chase Lord Stanley.
Because of their travel schedule, Coach Bednar joined us a little early this morning. Last night, Bedsie said he thought his team played sloppy overall and that Wedgewood bailed them out time and time again. Wedgie was the best player on the ice for Colorado. Does he still feel that way this morning? How great is it to have guys re-entering the lineup? The line combos are starting to look more "normal" again, if you will.
The Avalanche got SHELLACKED by Pittsburgh on Monday night, and they have a massive game against Dallas tonight. For all the marbles in the Western Conference (essentially).
