Have you ever felt like someone did you wrong? Ever held a grudge against that person? Have you forgiven that person or are you still holding onto that thing and letting it boil over? Both of us have been guilty of this very thing but what better way to spread the love of Jesus than to forgive someone when the world says that you shouldn't? This episode we look at what Jesus says about forgiveness and how we should forgive others who have trespassed against us. Spoiler alert: Jesus has a lot to say about forgiveness...
This week we are continuing in our new series on What Does Jesus Say About...? and the topic for this episode is giving! Giving can be a controversial topic within the church at times but ultimately, it is supposed to symbolize our obedience to the Lord and being able to put our trust in Him by giving either monetarily or through our time and efforts and seeing what He can do through our faith and obedience. We hope you take something away from this episode and happy listening!!
This week, we are excited to start a new series: What Does Jesus Say About...? In this series, we will look directly at Scripture on topics that may be controversial or hard thought in today's world and see what Jesus says about these topics. We hope that these episodes will bring you clarity on many topics that you ponder about. Happy listening!
This week, we finally got the chance to do an episode together in person!! Garrett came into town and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to do our first episode together side-by-side. We dive into how we have maintained our friendship after all these years and how we have continued to keep each other accountable in our faith even from hundreds of miles apart. Check out this special episode!
This week we discuss how, why, and in what manner we should give a helping hand to friends or even strangers in need. Each person doesn't receive advice in the same way, so how do we approach giving advice to different people? We have a new method coming right at ya so take a listen and have a great week!
We're back this week with another heavy episode that is extremely relevant and practical to today. Jesus commands us in Matthew 5 to love our enemies because loving our friends/family/people who agree with us is the easy thing to do. How difficult is it to love your enemies, someone who has done you wrong, or someone who doesn't have the same beliefs as you?
This week, we are talking about stewardship, which is how we manage another's property. God owns everything that we have and of this world, so we are all technically stewards. What are we managing that the Lord has given to us? How are we taking care of those things and how are we taking care of ourselves?
This episode, we are taking a look at the first 2 verses of Romans 12. They're short but boy do we have a lot to unpack in just these couple of verses. We talk about what it looks like to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice and to glorify the Lord in all aspects of our lives.
This week we had the honor of having a special guest on with us: Christ follower, husband, newly father, and self-proclaimed Liver of Life, John Sternagel. John just completed a 51.4 mile ultramarathon and we had a few questions for him about why in the world he decided to attempt to pull off such a task. John talks about his training process, his spiritual, mental, and physical growth that he went through and also what's next on his plate! Take a listen and come out the other side inspired for whatever big task lies ahead of you. Have a great week!
This week we dove right back into some Scripture and take a look at John 15 where Jesus is describing himself as the true vine and we, as disciples and followers of Him, are the branches. What happens when we don't hold onto Jesus as the true vine in our lives? And what happens when we do? Take a listen and find out what Jesus has to say for both sides of the coin here. Have a great week, go impact just one person!
Waiting seasons are not the most positive topic to discuss, but a necessary one. They can be draining and discouraging and all of your feelings are completely valid during those times. This week, we talk about our waiting seasons that we have had to go through and what it was like for use to manage during those times.
A majority of our episodes have been discussing topics that can better ourselves and our self-being, but this week we want to talk about what it should look like when we want to uplift others around us, impacting that one person. We should be specific and make it personal when we encourage and motivate others around us or it could turn out to be counterintuitive. Happy listening!
After a couple weeks off, the boys are back and talking all about rest this episode! As busy as the two of us are, we really do enjoy our time to rest but how in the world do we fit it into our schedules? Take a listen and find out how you can prioritize rest in the midst of your hectic life. *We apologize for the technical difficulties in this episode, please show us grace and feel free to laugh at our pain*
Episode 24: PIVOT!

Episode 24: PIVOT!

2024-07-0830:45

We are officially over halfway through the year and that can be a scary feeling. Remember those goals that we set for ourselves on January 1 and now we look back and see some of the things that we may have not yet accomplished? That's okay! Life happens! But that doesn't mean we should quit on those goals that we set out for ourselves, now is our time to PIVOT!
This week we did another Q&A session for y'all answering your questions that you submitted and giving you our raw unedited answers to them. These were some of the most difficult questions to date and we were happy to be challenged by them. Happy listening!
This week, we start to take a look at Paul's letter to the church of Corinth and how he first encouraged and gave genuine thanksgiving to them before bringing honest criticism of the division that was amongst them.
Keeping it short and sweet for y'all this week! Colossians 4 is the Scripture we're diving into and how we need to be mindful of our tongue and how we act around others who are not followers of Christ. If you are witnessing to someone about Jesus, you may be the only part of Jesus that people get to experience.
This week, we have a special guest on the mic with us, Logan Long. Logan is a college friend of Garrett's and another recent married man like ourselves. This week, we talk about our newly married lives, what we have learned, and how we are navigating having a roommate and best friend for life!
Have you ever been thrust into a position of leadership that you feel like you are ill-equipped or not prepared for? We feel as followers of Christ, we are all called to be leaders in some form. How do we prepare for these roles so we aren't caught by surprise? Why do we feel as though we are not prepared for positions of leadership? Exodus 3-4 is a great example of this very topic and we dive into it. Happy listening, go impact just one person!
After taking a week off, we are back with another heavy hitter! This week, we discuss what it means to "lose your life in order to save it" as Jesus says in Luke 9:24. After accepting Christ into our lives, are we still our same ole self? What happens to the things that we struggle with? As always, we dive into what the Bible says about this topic and how we are made new in Christ.
