The 2022 MEO Pro Portugal saw the cream rise to the top as San CleMyrte's very own Griffin Colapinto snagged his first CT win and Brazil's Tatiana Weston-Webb clinched her 3rd CT victory! Hearts were broken and dreams were made as I placed last in The Frothcast Fam League and @DearMum & @ABayer01 blew away the clurb with strategies even Bobby Fisher would have soiled himself on. Hendo sits down and chats about all this with Surfival League Fantasy Frothers Taylor and Chad as they contemplate the aftermath of Portugal, This year's first 10 point ride, myrt merch, the WSL's mid year cut, and a segment featuring a quintessential punk song from their youth entitled 'Cyber Christ' by Pivit! Taylor had a quick chat with lead singer of Pivit Mr. Chris Moore and he breaks down how the song came about and eventually became the ender section for Kelly Slater in Taylor Steele's iconic film entitled 'Loose Change'. Hello my friend!
Was sunset a complete shocker for you in the Fantasy world or did you pull away with massive points and leave us shivering in our snow boots? I'd have to say the prior for me and my snow boots are absolutely soiled! As much as I blew it in my WSL Fantasy League entitled 'The Frothcast Fam', I'm still elated to have SURFived the wrath of Sunset. In this ep, I sit down with the Surfival League Gods Taylor and Chad once more and discuss such existential things as: why Sunset is so tricky to surf (& watch), reports from the loser lair, the legendary Hawaiian Water Patrol, the ladies charging, cheat codes for the MEO Pro Portugal, and the World's most depressing hotel! The 2022 Billabong Pro Pipeline went down in incredible fashion with mesmerizing waves and peak performances from the likes of 11x World Champion and now 8x Pipeline Lord Mr. Kelly 'The TRUE GOAT' Slater and Oahu's very own Moana Jones! Hendo sits down with Taylor and Chad of Surfival League to try and pick apart what just went down but are often distracted by the ocean-like lure of Mr Slater's eyes and can't stop talking about what a legendary moment it was for surfing and sports world wide! Like the Ghost of Christmas past, the World Surf League's Rip Curl Newcastle Cup came and went faster than Pokémon go! We saw new heroes rise and old legends fall as rookies like Morgan Cibilic and Isabella Nichols gaboojlered their way into the Semi Finals and Finals respectively. With so much drama in the NS-Dubs, it's kinda hard tryna' find some fantasy love. If you're anything like me, and didn't fare so well with your WSL or Surfival League teams, have no fear Mr Meehazler & the Surfival Squad is here.
This episode has 2 parts.
The first is a sit down chat over the cybernet with my mate Mr Metal Meehan who was the winner of the Rip Curl Newcastle Cup in my WSL league called ‘The Frothcast Fam’. By winning that event, he is also your new number 1 in my league! We discuss his strategy for winning Newcastle, how he’s preparing for the Rip Curl Narrabeen Classic, AND are utterly surprised by a special 2 time world champion calling up the show to have a chat!
The second part of this show is with my good friends Taylor & Chad over at Surfival league and Surf Heater. Taylor updates us on Surfival league numbers and joins me in the losers lair while Chad basks in his victory glory and we all prophesize about whats to come for the next WSL events!

I couldn’t be more stoked to have my good friend Audrey Hills on The Frothcast today! Audrey and I grew up together in La Jolla, California and as we eventually became adults, she was quite the inspiration as she accomplished and is continuing to accomplish many rad things. From running her blog entitled Surf Stoked Moms which eventually turned into a women’s surf camp called Sea Hearts Surf Club to writing published articles for World Travel Magazine and now developing an ultra light cooler bag made out of recycled materials called the Everyday Makai 'Coolio', I can hardly keep up with all the epic things she continues to do!
In our conversation, we chat about all the above plus: the current state of women's surfing, growing up in Australia vs California, surfing Pipeline, mindfulness, traveling to Indonesia, techniques for hacking fear in and out of the lineup, and plenty of life advice and inspiration! Mr. Goddard once said 'Music is the Answer' and how right he was! My good friend and esteemed special guest today is Zachary Oliver Williams (@ZacharyOliverWilliams) who, amongst many things, is a creative machine. He and I sat down over the interwebs for one of the more meaningful conversations I've had in a while. As we meditated over worldly musings, his single entitled 'The Slow Down', future projects, and his creative process, he was kind enough to share his gift and perform a few songs for me. Waves Waves Waves! Hawaii and California have both been firing off their arses in more ways than one. Hawaii has been massive, heavy, and spooky while most of Southern California appears relatively manageable, fun, and often straight up dreamy. As many publications began to call it 'all time', I began putting my fist through a wall and eventually that fist grabbed a phone. A conversation with my good friend and surf turkey George Heatherington (@SDGeorgie)soon followed and he gave me a fantastic breakdown of what the hell is goin on down there.
