Mike also told us all about the @gdnmediaguild that he co chaired and chaired for 3 years. We had some serious technical issues with this episode but thankfully we got there eventually but unfortunately it's not all in one place like usual. Fab to talk to someone with such a wealth of experience in the world of horticulture and has won some amazing award for his garden designs at Chelsea Flower Show.I loved hearing about how much exposure a charity gets for sponsoring a garden and usually end up making a lot more money than they have spent.I absolutely love how we get to talk to people we have never met on this podcast and we can have an hour long conversation like we have been friends for years! It is Mark Lane of course Mark came on to talk to us about his excellent new book The Future of Gardens which is out now available at all good bookshops, I highly recommend it if you want a glimpse in to the future and technologies that might filter down to the consumers in the next few years. It was great to hear Markβs origin story and how gardening saved him during a dark time in his life and now is a passion campaigner for charities providing this service to others.We also spoke at length about how the shows and gardens can be more inclusive for people with a range of disabilities.Join us next week when we talk to Kate @pumpkins_etc about her garden @rhshampton_showteam and much more!
