Subterranea is a one-of-a-kind radio show built on a foundation of spoken word, poetry, and soundscapes. For a hundred and twenty minutes, your host, Matt, free-associates across themes, rhythms and melodies to create a show unlike any other in Southern California. Recorded performances by writers like Kerouac and Ginsberg, Bukowski, Ken Nordine, Lord Buckley, Gil Scott-Heron and Wanda Coleman are all mixed together with music from the likes of Tom Waits, Woody Guthrie, Howlin' Wolf, Steve Earle, Jolie Holland and the Eels.
