In this episode of The Nature of Invisible Things podcast, I am joined by mother, mystic, mentor, and energy-work practitioner Janith Chang. Together, we explore the topic of personal power, with Janith sharing her journey from feeling powerless in both motherhood and her business to discovering a new definition of power rooted in sovereignty and inner radiance. Janith describes how she transformed her understanding of power from a hierarchical "power over" approach to a more authentic, self-empowered way that naturally creates impact through presence rather than force. We discuss the difference between manufactured confidence and genuine personal power, with Janith explaining how she moved from performing a confident persona to embracing her true self.Welcome, Janith!Watch this episode on YouTubeJanith’s BioJanith is a mother, mystic, mentor, and energy-work practitioner. She has spent the past nine years studying and embodying the esoteric and healing arts, whilst traversing and transmuting the worlds of her own inner landscape. She has trained across a range of modalities, spanning coaching, yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, akashic healing, and energy work. But more than any label or training, Janith is a human, simply (and sometimes not so simply), deeply devoted to her path of embodying more of her Self through wholeheartedly engaging Life and artfully dancing with the Mystery.Spiritual Entrepreneurship and Motherhood have been two of her greatest teachers in the curriculum of her life thus far, and her work is profoundly shaped by her personal transformations through these initiations. From stepping into her personal power through motherhood after crippling post-partum anxiety, to unlocking the wellspring of her natural life force and capacity to ”do” and Be more than ever before on way less sleep as a projector-mama-and-spiritual-entrepreneur, to finally experiencing flow and expansion in her business after years of deep-rooted “not-enoughness,” time and time again she meets each and every moment of her Great Becoming and Unbecoming wholly committed to engaging whatever her inner world and outer circumstance present with presence, honesty, and a willingness to transform. The goal of her work is to walk mothers and spiritual entrepreneurs through the fires of their own initiations and to guide them closer to their Truth through energy and self-mastery.Follow Janithschedule energy work with Janith in January or Februarywebsite: janithchang.comIG: instagram.com/janithchangnewsletter sign upFollow ErinFind Erin at slowmagick.com, @slow.magick on Instagram, and The Nature of Invisible Things on Substack. In this episode of The Nature of Invisible Things podcast, I share a recorded excerpt from SOVEREIGN, one of my containers in which we explore the stories, beliefs, frameworks of the mind, values, actions, and daily practices that either help us or sometimes prevent us from making change in our lives. Recorded in Sagittarius season, December 2024, this invitation is to connect with the intelligence in the body that allows us to ‘birth’ new creative ideas into being, along with the Spirit of the concept or thought form that desires to be created through us. I have found that creating space for presence through my own Deep Listening, aka clairsentience (and all of the ‘clairs’), helps me understand how ideas, the spirit of the moment, and my internal knowing make the information known to me. So in this episode, I share the invitation to descend deeper into the body and its intelligence by asking, ‘What is the next right step?’ and listening for the response.Watch this episode on YouTube.New Offering:SACRED SHAPES | Craft the story of your personal astrology starts soon! Throughout my journey to deepen my understanding of myself in a relationship, I’ve made many mistakes. In this episode of The Nature of Invisible Things podcast, I share some of my experiences with you, including an experience where I said no to a business opportunity that didn’t align with my values, marking a significant shift by breaking the pattern of prioritizing the needs of others over my own. Join me and my guest, acupuncturist and energy worker Leah Lubin, as we discuss our evolving approaches to all types of relationships in the astrological 7th house, including romantic relationships, business partnerships, and platonic friendships. Additionally, we examine how understanding our personal power in relationships affects the 5th house of pleasure and romance, as well as the 11th house of acquaintances and groups to which you belong. Tune in as we explore themes of personal growth, self-awareness, and the importance of maintaining boundaries while fostering meaningful connections, and hear our take on some unusual ‘soulmate’ connections. Most folks are familiar with the infamous Saturn return, which occurs approximately at age 28 to 30. But did you know we experience many Saturn cycles throughout our lives? In this episode of The Nature of Invisible Things, I continue the series on midlife transits with listener favorite and therapeutic intuitive, Natasha Levinger. Join us as we discuss her experiences with Saturn's influence on her life and personal growth through an astrological and contemplative review of her birth chart. Natasha, an Aquarian Sun conjunct Venus with a Libra Moon, describes how Saturn's presence in Taurus in her third house contributed to her finding avenues for self-reflection, communication, and eventually her professional path. We also hear about her challenging experiences at age 21 during her second Saturn square that assisted her in creating inner structure and coping skills, and the transformative impact of her mother's death in 2012 during her second Saturn opposition. Also, in this episode, I have a personal and profound experience that, combined with Venus’ retrograde and Saturn conjunct my Ascendant, led to a pretty big breakthrough in my personal life. I was going to edit it, but ultimately, it felt right to share it, and I will give an update at the end.Welcome back, Natasha!Natasha’s Bio:Natasha Levinger is a therapeutic intuitive, psychic teacher, and inner child healing expert who helps people break free from the patterns they absolutely did not sign up for. She’s the author of Healing Your Inner Child: Reparenting Yourself for a More Secure and Loving Life (now in three languages, so your inner child can feel seen globally), and writes the Substack newsletter Coming Home, a lovingly irreverent guide to becoming the person your inner child actually wanted to grow up to be. She also co-hosts Crystal Ballers, a podcast where psychic insight, healing tools, and sass coexist peacefully. I first encountered her work in 2020, and it’s been a cornerstone of my personal development since. In episode ten of season two of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I am excited to share my reflection on another midlife transit: the Uranian Opposition, which occurs around age 42. No, that is not a typo.In episode eight of season two of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT) podcast, I am pleased to welcome back author, astrologer, and teacher Britten LaRue for an adventurous exploration and expansion of the Sagittarius archetype. In late 2023, Britten and her boyfriend, Matt, birthed an idea into being or, perhaps, summoned a being back into collective consciousness—as there is something simultaneously old and new about Vagittarius. Together, they pondered, what does embodying the bold and unbridled audacity we associate with Sagittarius look or feel like in different body types or gender identities? And thus, Vagittarius was born.Tune in and join us as we explore the nature of this wild beastie who refuses to be known wholly and entirely, a shapeshifter extraordinaire combining an uncontainable spirit and voracious appetite for life. The spirit of Vagittarius invites us to reject toxic certainty and fall in love with the story of our lives again and again. And it’s just getting started.Welcome back, Britten!Britten’s Bio:Britten LaRue, MA, is a public astrologer, author, teacher, and intuitive guide. Hello friend! The podcast is back! In this episode of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I continue my mini-series honoring mid-life transits by sharing my experience with the intoxicating Neptune square Neptune, which folks experience around the age of 42.Neptune in the chart shows us how we engage with mysticism and spirituality and connect to the cosmos beyond the self. Still, it is also the planet of illusion and confusion. Join me in this exploration, and we’ll go through the looking glass together.I’ve been under the influence of Neptune for some time, and its very nature makes it confusing to bring Neptune into form, so this episode is not a complete analysis but reflective of my experience. I also experienced transiting Neptune, squaring all my personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars), nodal axis, and natal Uranus before experiencing Neptune square Neptune. Recently, I had Neptune conjunct the Ascendant, and presently, Neptune is square my midheaven. That doesn’t mean I am unique, but more so a reflection of the number of times I’ve been around the Sun. It's very likely you, too, have been under the influence of Neptune but didn’t know it at the time.In addition, I share a few ways I have honored and given expression to Neptune’s lessons and how I surrendered under states of confusion.Enjoy!People and other resources mentioned in this episode:The previous episode with Lisa QuigleyThe Book of Neptune by Steven ForrestVanessa CoutoPlanets in Transit by Robert HandCaroline W. I am pleased to welcome Lisa Quigley, the Glitch Witch, in episode six of season two. Tune in and hear how Lisa's reading helped me launch my first community container and how I discovered just how impactful it was post-launch! I adore synchronicities like this one.We then discussed the theme of season two, moving through change in our lives and work. We start by exploring a pivotal moment of vulnerability on our path, where we first revealed more about ourselves and our work publicly and what happened when our work began to change and shift. We also discussed what it feels like to continually choose authenticity and how that goes hand in hand with letting folks have their opinions about us or our work.Lisa is another wonderful human with a significant Aquarian assignment (Aquarius Rising, Sun, Mercury with a Leo Moon), so we had to talk about aliens and the distortion that comes with that.Welcome, Lisa!Lisa’s Bio:Lisa Quigley is a conscious contact guide, quantum hypnotist, psychic channel, and intergalactic witch. She is a multi-hyphenate star-being-in-human form with extensive training in hypnosis, energy work, psychism, channeling, contact work, human design, tarot, yoga, creative writing, Reiki, and more—which have integrated into her psyche to form a bespoke synthesis of mystical gnosis. In episode five of season two of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I am fulfilling a promise to deliver the first in a series of episodes on midlife transits: the Pluto square. But first, I reflect on my Solar return and how I marked the transition.Pluto is a planet with themes of power, transformation, and change. When we experience a Pluto square, we are confronted with our attachment to past patterns and beliefs that activate the ways we experience psychological wounding. It is a time when we are called to leave behind outdated ways of being. This won’t be a class on Pluto or Pluto through the signs but rather an exploration of the Plutonic transit experience. However, given the timely relevance, I will speak about Pluto in Aquarius and Pluto in the Libra (1971-1984) and Scorpio (1983-1995) generations.Join me as I meander through this transit, share the story of my Pluto square in 2014, and invite you to create a re-birth plan if your Pluto square is on the horizon.Sacred Signatures is on sale through October 31, 2024:Book Sacred Signatures NowBook Returning Client ReadingSacred Signatures GiveawayWrite a podcast review on Apple Podcasts by October 31st, screenshot it, and email it to vespertine@slowmagick.com. In episode four of season two of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I am pleased to welcome back Samar Jade, my first guest when the podcast launched in January earlier this year. After a brief update on the astrology of the moment, we quickly moved into the subject matter at hand — the subversive and sensual joy of having a fat body. While the focus is sharing our experiences of moving through a change in the acceptance of our fat bodies, this episode has many provocative moments for ALL body types.Join us as we discuss what it feels like to fully inhabit and accept one’s body after being at war with it for a long time and the overindulgence of being both joyful and fat simultaneously. In addition, Samar shares the work of Sabrina Strings, which connects fat phobia in the United States to white supremacy. We reflect on where our body shame started, our first taste of diet culture, and discuss the connection between desire, distortion, and the commodification of our shame. Bodies are personal, and yet our culture feels entitled to comment on and objectify them. Tune in and hear about our experiences of both joy and pleasure in our fat bodies.Welcome back, Samar!Samar Jade’s bio:Samar Jade is a Black, queer, and gender-expansive human whose work is rooted in helping others to deepen their capacity to hold space for their complexities. Through the use of astrology, archetypes, and somatic practice, Samar helps support human beings in their underworld journeys. In addition, they are also a writer. In this episode of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), in honor of Jupiter stationing retrograde, I share one of my favorite tales of transformation and change told through the descent of Inanna, a Sumerian fertility goddess. I offer it as another way of exploring your experience of moving through change and how surrendering the more solar parts of self makes space for the lunar knowing to emerge. Also, in this episode, I talk about Venus’ cycles, Saturn & Neptune’s ingress into Aries, and the experience of initial midlife transits, Pluto square Pluto and Neptune square Neptune, along with advice for anyone feeling confused.Bio:Erin Kelley (she/her) is a writer, devotional astrologer, and esoteric strategist with a feral heart.
