She created a festival, The Festival of Light and Sound (April 2012), to debut this project and to bring Beautiful Chorus together for a one-time performance. The ladies practiced each week leading up to the album release. The festival was a huge success and after that night, Love decided to keep the project going. She booked tours for Beautiful Chorus around the country, hosted crystal singing bowl meditations w/ the ladies, lead vocal workshops and more. It was then that BC wrote + recorded songs, and have since become the most successful independent group of their kind. Fusing elements of electronic, choral, deep bass, hip hop and jazz, Beautiful Chorus is unlike any other. They have albums that span from wordless symphonies to full rhythmic songs, w/ sound healing frequencies and love-centered messages. They even have a wordless holiday album, a lullaby album, and a multitude of singable hymns and mantras. Beautiful Chorus is currently residing in Orlando, FL where they are developing a new live experience, hosting spiritual conversations, and preparing for their upcoming full album release, High Frequency Love Music, due out 7/26. Here is a little more about Keely: Keely’s career began with a deep commitment to service, working with a nonprofit that provided medical devices to vulnerable populations in war-torn regions. In her early twenties, Keely traveled to remote parts of Africa and Asia, where she discovered her true calling: to serve and uplift women in their most transformative moments. Driven by this mission, Keely pursued a Master’s in Maternal and Child Health from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Upon graduation, she joined a Hospitalist Medical Group, but it was clear her heart lay in direct patient care, where she could make a more personal impact. With this newfound clarity, Keely transitioned to offering her expertise as a Doula and Health Educator, initially providing pro bono support to underserved communities in Los Angeles. Over the years, Keely has supported hundreds of families in both hospital and home settings, always with a focus on holistic, compassionate care. Keely’s teaching philosophy draws from her background in Public Health, Medical Anthropology, and holistic wellness. This integrated approach allows her to support healthy, informed individuals while also tending to the emotional and energetic dimensions of care. She moves beyond clinical frameworks to explore the deeper ceremony of caregiving and how we show up for one another as a personal, collective, and ecological practice. In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Lara Elliot. Lara is a teacher and friend of mine, who I love dearly, appreciate her essence, and how she teaches. Lara finds deep resonance with Buddhist teachings and actively pursues Zen Buddhism as a dedicated student and practitioner. Her holistic approach draws from a diverse range of Eastern and Western modalities, encompassing the traditional Japanese Reiki system, Breathwork, CranioSacral therapy, Herbology, guided Mindfulness and Meditation, and Holistic Health Coaching. With over a decade of experience in various healing arts modalities, Lara is committed to helping her clients address physical and emotional challenges, fostering balance and well-being. Her academic journey in Chinese Medicine commenced in 2011 in New York City, where she embarked on two Master's degree programs to become a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. Lara holds the title of Reiki Master and has been imparting the wisdom of the Japanese System of Reiki for seven years. She has welcomed students and practitioners from across the globe, offering training sessions conducted both in Southern California and online. I love her healing model, the way she approaches healing and teaching, being a student, and of course, our shared love of Dharma and the Japanese System of Reiki. In our episode today we talk about her origin, how Gaby and Lara met, her path from working in fashion design to acupuncture to Reiki, the mysteries and the practices of Reiki and the Way of Reiki, following our own path, creativity and bringing our creative artistry to our healing, Yin and Yang, the elements, harmony and balance, duality and non-duality, being a healer and what that means, titles, the subtle, and more. Kasia is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a former Executive Director of TEDxSF, and host of The Other Way, a podcast that explores alternative paths in spirituality, life, health, and business.
