The past 3 months have been and gone, leading up to this one moment - the final! Greer and James are back with a bumper final edition, discussing the improper use of the metaverse, a cartoon pie logo, and some suspect video billboards 🤦🏻‍♀️📹 Greer and James go through some of your messages, give awards for this season's highlights, and tuck into those eagerly anticipated pies from “pie man Phil”, giving you their verdict on the taste 🥧🏆 Never mind the actual result, the all-important result of the narrator hours challenge is here too. It is the penultimate episode of this year’s season, which means only one thing, interviews! Greer and James delve into the interview stage, looking at each interview's brutal moments, including many highlights from Mike and even a ‘domain deal’ made on the day! 🫵🏻🧐 Taking you back to the boardroom, Greer highlights some of the awful jokes, in addition to Paul’s body-popping claim before giving you the behind-the-scene lowdown with Apprentice News. Our duo take a break from the elevator pitch this week to focus on pies and predictions, giving one final narrator update before the winner is crowned next week! 🕰️🕜 About Back To The Boardroom: Join hosts Greer and James as they go Back to the Boardroom and behind the scenes of the latest episode of The Apprentice. Say cheese! It is the final team task of the series, and this week Phil’s losing streak ends with his Truffle spread coming out on top. In this episode, Greer and James once again dissect the branding choices of the two teams, highlight Lord Sugar's bad jokes, and pick apart the flavours. 🧀🍔 Our duo face a cheese-infused elevator pitch while James reveals his recent delivery of pies, before giving us the latest secretary update and rounding off some predictions that Greer may have (actually) won! 🥧👩🏻‍💼 Brandwatch returns with more sightings from James, and Greer gets us prepared for the interviews with her latest in Apprentice news. Pick up the phone now, final price! Just like the (now infamous) resistance walking machine, you don’t want to miss out on this week’s Back to the Boardroom! In this episode our duo discuss taking accountability, decide whether it was unfair Raj was fired and try their hand at Shopping Channel selling with household items - wait until you see what James brings to the table 📺🤑 James goes all out with graphs and in-depth analysis for the narrator and Secretary Segment, while Greer reveals more inside information from behind-the-scenes of the show including why past contestant Noor didn’t enjoy the process. Phil returns for the ninth time to the losers cafe (surely he has filled up the loyalty card by now), and Raj faces a fall from grace in the boardroom for both the first and last time. ☕️🪪 About Back To The Boardroom: Join hosts Greer and James as they go Back to the Boardroom and behind the scenes of the latest episode of The Apprentice. Another task, another chance for the candidates to create a brand! This week, it was focused on the ‘XBUS’ electric van, where the teams were to pitch to different target markets - business owners and the leisure market. In episode 8 of Back To The Boardroom, our hosts dissect badly chosen fonts, ask why on earth you’d take a hula hoop on holiday and discuss whether the Project Manager’s job is to make all the decisions 🚚 🚐 The elevator pitch returns in a surprise 30-second format for maximum pressure (James loves the competition) and The Apprentice news reveals some more odd issues about the process - is it really worth the hassle? While Team Nexus are running away with the wins, Phil continues his losing streak and Raj continues her unbeaten record. Lord Sugar is noted for his good attendance this week, however, that doesn’t make up for the mediocre treat. 🍃🫵🏻 About Back To The Boardroom: Join hosts Greer and James as they go Back to the Boardroom and behind the scenes of the latest episode of The Apprentice. This week the candidates were sent off to Hungary, and boy are we in need of some wine after that debacle! Back to the Boardroom episode 7 is filled with anger at the outcome, and some punches thrown at our so-called ‘wine experts’, and at the consumers who didn’t request a refund! 💶🍷🍇 The duo get a well-deserved break from the elevator pitch this week, to summarise how their predictions have gone so far, while James surprises Greer with an extra 3 predictions to make! Phil becomes the leading Apprentice candidate for consecutive losses, Greer has news on his pies, James surprises us with some Hungarian knowledge, and we laugh at the several dances on the ‘boat tour’. 🚤🕺🏻 About Back To The Boardroom: Join hosts Greer and James as they go Back to the Boardroom and behind the scenes of the latest episode of The Apprentice. It is time for episode 6 of Back to the Boardroom and we have yet another food-related task. This time the candidates are creating cereal aimed at children between 6-8 years old. There’s bad branding and a technology-themed twist - an augmented reality feature hopefully made to entertain the youngsters 🥣🥛 James has a lot to say on Virdi and Phil’s losing streak, alongside highlighting the ‘power-4’ who have yet to lose. Greer shares her ‘recipe’ for Dalmatians cereal in this week’s elevator pitch 🍫 We also discuss Maura creating a polar bear mascot with an added extra, how on earth Phil has escaped the boardroom again, and decide whether accepting an Exclusivity Deal in the pitches was the right way to go. It’s episode 5 of The Apprentice and Back To The Boardroom this week. James is absolutely in his element with a Formula E themed task. The candidates have to design their own team logo, car wrap, promotional video and pitch sponsorship placements to big name clients worth millions of pounds 🏁🏎 As always Greer and James are horrified at the candidate’s logo design - HOW can it be that bad? James gives us an update on whether Virdi and Phil are the longest losing candidates in Apprentice history and Greer shares some details on The Apprentice audition process. The pair also have a good laugh at Virdi’s video direction in this week’s episode, ask whether Paul has copied his colour scheme from F1 team Force India and try to understand why Raj was doing a voiceover with her coat on her head 🙈🇮🇳 Thank you so much for listening and subscribing to Back To The Boardroom so far. We’re back for episode 4 of Back to the Boardroom, recapping the infamous buying task! The candidates this week were running around Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, finding a whole host of products - many of which they couldn’t pronounce… including “shucked” oysters, a “bachin” and Jersey Wonders 🍪💷 James wants to know whether the running is absolutely necessary and Greer has put her foot in it with predictions. We’re also discussing marking down artisan products for 75%, laughing at some of the candidate’s negotiation techniques, (“You’re the best surfboard merchant around!”) and reviewing the shock double firing! 👉🔥 Thanks for listening - if you’re enjoying our podcast consider clicking the subscribe button and passing it on to your Apprentice-watching friends. This week saw the candidates mixed up for the first time this season, forming the first iteration of teams ‘Nexus’ and ‘Supereme’. With dancing bears and (maybe) drunken mayors, the two teams set off to create their virtual escape rooms. Greer and James are back with some lighthearted analysis of the challenge, as they assess the teams’ performance in the virtual world 🎮🐻. Greer sheds some light on why the candidates are always wearing a scarf after being fired, while James eagerly examines everyone’s computer usage and comes up with a font conspiracy theory 🧣👀 Additionally, our duo take you through their Escape Room Elevator Pitches, and have a lot to say on logo design! We’re back for episode 2 of Back to the Boardroom chatting all things cheesecake! The candidates this week were tasked with making some deliciously decadent mini cheesecakes which they would sell to a corporate client and customers at a food market. Which team will have flavours that triumph and which will crumble under the pressure? Greer and James are on hand to see how well the teams did in their race to become Lord Sugar's next business partner 🍰🤔 James keeps an eye open for spreadsheets, badly written pound signs and has a meltdown over Lord Sugar’s treats. Greer shares with us some behind the scenes facts including what being in the Apprentice house is really like. We’re also cringing at negotiations, avocado centres and paying £13 for a snack… and remember, when the client says no to chocolate - don’t ask a further three times! 🥑 Thanks for listening - if you’re enjoying our podcast consider clicking the subscribe button and passing it on to your Apprentice-watching friends. Welcome to the inaugural episode of Back to the Boardroom. In the first task of the season, a new wave of ambitious candidates journey to the Scottish Highlands to win over those all-important first impressions in the race to become Lord Sugar's next business partner 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The candidates are thrown in the deep end and have to organise a memorable corporate away day that includes exciting outdoor activities and delicious food. Will the teams triumph, or will refunds be issued? Expect to hear all about fish crumble, why you shouldn't clap early in the boardroom and why water is not a real welcome drink! 🥧🐠 As it is the first week, James also sets out our predictions for the series, and Greer takes a look back to 2005, the year The Apprentice began.
