The power of listening starts with listening to ourselves. When we can see what is going on for us, we can better see what is going on with others. But it can be very challenging, especially as coaches, to listen to ourselves and not automatically think we need to change or fix ourselves or that we’re doing everything wrong. To discuss the art of listening well, I invited Katie Pulsifer, Master Certified & Deep Dive Life Coach. Katie shared how connecting with ourselves well enables us to help our clients connect with themselves well, and how that can make all the difference.“Our truth and what we know about ourselves is alive, and dynamic and moving and shifting and changing with more inputs and more information. The majority (roughly 80%) of people do not currently have a clinical psychological problem. In other words, they are not struggling with navigating life on a daily basis due to disease, disorder or dysfunction, but rather they are actually suffering from developmental stagnation. She shared how “toxic positivity” actually hinders lasting change, and some powerful ways we can elevate our coaching through developmental support.  “The way that you conceptualize the world isn’t sophisticated enough for the problems you’re facing. It’s both ironic and fascinating how we tend to avoid things we know we ought to do, and yet we don’t. But we’re complex beings. Just telling ourselves to move past the fear to move forward in our businesses often isn’t the answer. Whether it’s things you really need to do, or things you only think you need to do, the reluctance is real. But by broadening our perspectives on internal fear and seeking safety, we can help alleviate some of them. After all, it’s not always as straightforward as knowing specific steps. If it were, you would have already done it. It’s also about knowing ourselves. And knowing how to use safety to move you past fear and onto building your business. “The only way that we can truly grow into our full potential is by having that safety. By healing the fears within us to grow and expand.” – Molly Claire What You’ll Learn I know but… Reaching full potential Providing the safety you need yourself Healing the fears within you Filling the emptiness gap Getting your own support Contact Info and Recommended Resources Master Coach Training 2024 REGISTRATION is OPEN! Holistic approaches to coaching are becoming more and more mainstream because of how effective they are. When we, as coaches, have a higher level view of how everything in the human mind and body is connected, we can bring a higher level of care to our clients. We can serve and help them more fully, in addition to our speciality or main coaching focus. That’s why I’m bringing together coaches like Leah Davidson, Lindsay Poelman and Melanie Fay for my brand new Masterful Coach Training Advanced Training, which begins in 2024. And for this episode, we’ve come together to both give a sneak peek of the program and to share numerous good thoughts around holistic approach to coaching. “As coaches, when we can support our clients in feeling those emotions in a healthy way and guiding them to learn a new way of processing and feeling, and all of that, it really is creating a new pathway, a new plan, a new protocol.” – Molly Claire What You’ll Learn Reactivating compassion for self and others Removing roadblocks Intuition safety Why holistic Nervous system activation for big emotions Creating supported space Why changing thoughts needs activation Authentic connections Care for self to bring better care to clients Line between coaching and training and ethics in coaching Contact Info and Recommended Resources The NEW 2024 Masterful Coach Training waitlist is NOW OPEN at mollyclaire.com. A hot topic right now in coaching is ethics and education. People have questions about practices and whether or not certain practices might be doing more harm than good. And I believe that, as coaches, we should be embracing these questions rather than shying away or being intimidated by them. How can all these questions be a good thing? First of all, it gives us the opportunity to discuss trauma, the nervous system, changes in the industry over time, and the positive outcomes countless people have experienced. Secondly, it gives us the opportunity to make strides in our own practices to help even more people. Let’s tackle this timely topic. “The freedom and the open space in the coaching field means more creativity in how we can be effective and serve our clients… to be able to truly create something unique and powerful.” – Molly Claire What You’ll Learn Value in being unregulated Lack of education results Draw from other industry ethics and standards Prepare for trauma responses Work toward a higher level of service Not a unicorn business Contact Info and Recommended Resources Watch for a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT from Molly on Friday, October 6, 2023 regarding an amazing offering coming in 2024!  Listen to these previous episodes on ethics in coaching: Unacceptable Coaching Practices Ethics and Coaching: Integrity In Your Business    Connect with Molly Claire Create A Killer Program For Your Clients: Registration fills fast so get on the January 2024 waitlist!
