Three Regionals, three continents, and the forecast is suddenly looking very, very icy. This week, Amanda and Martijn break down Brisbane, Frankfurt, and Recife as Shadow Alolan Ninetales takes over the meta, Shadow Hydreigon continues to cause chaos, and some unexpected picks prove there's still room to get creative. We look at what's working, what's not, and whether the current meta is actually healthy — or starting to feel a little too much like rock-paper-scissors. We also talk about LndsRargef making history with a record seventh title, a small-but-stacked Recife field, and what all three tournaments might be telling us ahead of Louisville. Plus, Lundberger is currently winning the Tap Tap Draft, Inadequance takes a Pokemon GO detour to the European Space Agency, and we somehow find time for lucky trades, gift-pin arguments, and an increasingly unnecessary PokeStop unique-spin rivalry. Strap in. It's cold out there.
This week, Amanda and Martijn catch up on everything from missed flights and Martijn's actual job to the mysterious disappearance of Team GO Rocket balloons — before getting into the competitive stuff. We talk about our starts to the new GBL season (spoiler: neither of us is Veteran yet), then dive into the Baltimore Regional, including the winning Zweilous, the current Pokemon GO PvP meta, and some of the best plays from the weekend. Plus, we make our next draft picks, look ahead to upcoming Play! Pokemon events, and finish by blind ranking Pokemon GO PvP players — which surely won't cause any problems whatsoever.
We're so back, baby. Inadequance (Martijn) and Lundberger (Amanda) are returning to the mic with a brand-new format. The original Tap Tap Cast was all about bringing on Pokémon GO PvP players, getting to know the people behind the battles, and talking competitive Pokémon. This time, we're keeping the guests out and letting the hosts loose. Each episode, Martijn and Amanda will catch up on what's happening in Pokémon GO PvP — the competitive scene, game updates, current events, the meta, and whatever else actually matters to players. And then there's the draft. At the end of every episode, Martijn and Amanda will each select a player to join their respective "team" for the 2027 season. Once a player is drafted, they're off the board. By the end of the season, we'll find out who built the better roster. Welcome back to Tap Tap Cast.
Join us on Tap Tap Cast as we talk with Kuifje00, the Belgian sensation with the most un-pronounceable name! Kuifje00 took third place at the 2025 EUIC, knocking out casters and players alike, and ending up being the only trainer in the top eight who had not won a championship YET. The crew chats about the show six format, Kuifje00's rise to greatness, and the cheapest place to buy groceries in the Netherlands.   Follow the crew!     Amanda // www.twitter.com/Lundberger    Martijn // www.twitter.com/InadequancePOGO Kuifje00 // www.twitter.com/Kuifje00
Join us for a special episode of Tap Tap Cast where Lundberger stops being a host and starts being a competitor! She and Inadequance talk about how she got into casting, why she was so late into the Pokemon scene, and what inspired her to FINALLY compete in a regional competition. Inadequance also badgers Lundberger into telling everyone who her favorite casters are in the other Pokemon games.
