Description
Hosted by Ben McKenzie (Southland, Gotham). He had an alibi. He didn't have a violent history. And it seemed almost impossible to imagine the crime could have been committed by just one man. But Ronald Trimboli's DNA test, performed in the infancy of DNA testing, was a match. Is it possible he was innocent of the triple murder he was convicted of? IN THE BLOOD presents all the evidence, including evidence jurors were not privy to, and asks you, the audience, for your verdict.

Through conversations with a variety of people who knew Ronald Trimboli, a picture emerges of a charismatic, small-time hustler. An almost comically reckless person, who had a tendency to talk himself into trouble. Ronald's personality is contrasted with alternate suspects, one in particular whose penchant for violence made one of the victims fear for their life.

What if you could have a conversation with a serial killer? Sit in a room, across the table from them, hear them tell their story. From the team that brought you “Down the Hill: The Delphi Murders”, comes DEVIANT. A show that explores the people who blow through societies boundaries, the ones who live beyond the margins.
Most recently, hosts Dan and Andrew cover the Hart Family Murders. In 2018, mothers Jennifer and Sarah Hart drove their van off of a cliff, their six adopted children inside. With no survivors, investigators turn to the social media profiles that painted a life of happiness, and also played a role in creating a façade that masked the signs of the tragedy to ensue.
Here is an excerpt from the first episode that covers the Hart Family Murders. You can continue listening to the story and follow Deviant on Apple, Spotify, Amazon Music or any major streaming platform.

After all eight episodes, there's no veritable answer?!
I still don't feel fully convinced he's innocent... 😮💨

SPOILER As a grad student of biology with a focus on genetics: I get why it should have been deemed inconclusive the first time, but the retest shows it was correct. So the science itself isn't the issue here. The problem is that the sample could have been contaminated or the situation interpreted wrongly, but the DNA was his. There's a LOT of fluff in this podcast. The presentation is fine (except for the you knows that should've been cut out). If you have nothing else to listen to. ★★★☆☆
This guy drove me absolutely NUTS, I had to fast forward, You Know, You Know, You Know, You Know, You Know!!!! 🥺 I guess I should be glad "What I Mean" wasn't added to every "You Know"..…. I really hope this juror listened to this episode and realizes what people listen to when he talks to people!!!!
Y'know. Y'know y'know y'know y'know y'know gahhhhhhhh
Omgggg, the detective repeatedly pronouncing thorough as "thurr-uhl" made my teeth itch.
The jury specifically ask for the evidence on the washer and dryer, and they have a right to weigh ALL the evidence. I believe this is a reversal error, and just because the judge said, " You have all the evidence," doesn't make it the truth This defendant didn't get a fair trial.
