Description
The highest purpose of life is to discover the truth of our radiant, erotic, and limitless existence. Freedom is our nature, wholeness our self, limitlessness our reality, and erotic aliveness our magic. The "Born to be FREE" Podcast invites you on a journey to the sanctuary of your magnificent being, guided by my decades of devoted and committed studies, along with lived experience of the ancient, timeless, spiritual, non-dual teachings of the Vedic Tradition, as well as integrated holistic sacred sexuality. It serves as a bridge between the ancient and the new era, a confluence of opposites where all is seen as sacred, and every experience is meant to catapult us into our supreme destiny.
A lifetime dedication in honor of the greatest gift of all times: the chance to gain freedom in this life and live a life that is outstanding, without any compromise to one's own well-being, while being in service to Love.

What if the place that shaped your wounds… also holds a piece of your belonging?
There are places we learn to turn away from.
Places where we felt too different.
Too foreign.
Too much… or not enough.
Places where we tried to belong… and quietly decided, “maybe I don’t.”
And so we leave.
We search for ourselves elsewhere, in other lands, other people, other ways of being… hoping that somewhere out there, it will finally feel like home.
We reinvent.
We adapt.
We become who we need to be to survive.
And yet… something in us remembers.
A quiet pull.
A subtle ache.
A feeling that something is still unfinished.
But what happens… when life calls you back?
Not to relive the past, but to meet it differently.
Not to become who you were, but to reclaim what was left behind.
In this episode of Born to Be Free, I sit with Purnama Melissa, a singer, songwriter, sound healer, ceremonialist, and keeper of indigenous wisdom.
Born to a Swiss father and a Balinese mother, Purnama carries two worlds within her. A life shaped by both richness and rupture, by cultural depth and deep personal challenges. Her younger years were marked by trauma, disconnection, and a profound sense of not being understood, leading her to leave home at 18 in search of healing.
And yet… through that very path, something sacred began to unfold.
Through music.
Through prayer.
Through returning to the land of her ancestors.
This conversation opens within a solstice space, a threshold of transition and deep remembrance.
From Switzerland to Bali, from disconnection to devotion, from silence to voice, this conversation reveals what it really means to return.
Not by becoming someone else…
But by remembering who you have always been.
Because the journey is not about choosing one identity over another.
It is about learning how to belong… to all of yourself.. to your roots..
To the parts shaped by love.
And the parts shaped by pain.
To the cultures that formed you.
And the spaces where you felt you didn’t fit.
There is something tender here.
The quiet ache of not fitting in.
The in-between spaces.
The longing to feel at home, somewhere, anywhere.
And also… the beauty of discovering that belonging is not something you find outside of you.
It is something you allow yourself to return to.
Again and again.
What if nothing was wasted?
What if the places that didn’t hold you the way you needed… are still part of your path to wholeness?
If you’ve ever felt like an outsider in your own life…
If you’ve ever questioned where you truly belong…
If something in you is being gently pulled back, to your roots, your voice, your truth…
This conversation is for you.

Sexuality is not pleasure chasing. It is alchemy.
In this deeply intimate and expansive conversation, I sit with Meher Malik, a mover, mentor, mother, embodiment coach, and graduate in Buddhist Studies, to explore Embodied Sensuality as a lived spiritual path, one that moves through motherhood, lineage, sexuality, emotion, and values…
We speak about what happens when women are severed from their senses, from feeling, from intuition, and how that quiet disconnection shapes the way we love, relate, choose, and inhabit our lives. How sensuality becomes externalized. How intimacy becomes performative. How longing replaces truth.
Embodied Sensuality begins not in sex, but in sensation, in the hips, the breath, and the capacity to stay with what we feel without leaving the body.
Meher shares how raising a daughter has become a profound spiritual initiation, a daily mirror of consent, presence, and emotional truth. We reflect on children as embodied teachers, on parenting as a way of re-parenting the self, restoring what was never modeled, and on what it means to raise girls who know their bodies belong to them.
This episode moves gently through sexuality as alchemy rather than gratification. As a force that reveals shadow, vulnerability, values, and inner responsibility. We speak openly about why so much sacred sexuality work skips the essential groundwork, the emotional, somatic, and philosophical foundations that allow intimacy to become conscious rather than compulsive.
Embodied Sensuality, as it lives here, is not about being more expressive, desirable, or powerful.
It is about slowing down enough to feel without self-betrayal.
About letting the body set the pace.
About allowing intimacy and spirituality to grow from a ground that can actually hold them.
If your body is tired of being pushed.
If your desire wants honesty instead of performance.
If something in you knows there is another way to inhabit sensuality, motherhood, and spirit.
Come listen.

We are opening this year with a conversation that was recorded earlier, yet arrives with precise timing. Some teachings are not meant for the moment they are spoken.
They wait.
They ripen.
And they meet us when we are ready to receive them.
Sitting beneath the Banyan tree in Bali, and I'm very happy and I have some butterflies in my heart, excited to introduce my dear sister, Tanya Kaps, a person that I met a long time ago..
Tanya and I return to the roots of our spiritual lives. To lineage. To recognition that happens before language. To the body knowing yes before the mind understands why.
This conversation carries the energy of beginnings, not the kind that push us forward, but the kind that draw us inward.
Tanya brings a depth shaped by decades of practice and inquiry. With over 25 years devoted to yoga, Vedanta, and self inquiry, and a background in Integrated Science and Transpersonal Psychology, her presence bridges lived wisdom and grounded understanding. Years of close study with our same Vedanta teacher, Swami Vagishananda, along with her own experience of kundalini awakening and long integration, inform the way she meets students, without urgency, without bypassing, and with deep respect for the human pace of unfolding.
Vedanta shows up here not as theory, but as something lived. Not an idea to understand, but a clarity that continues to unfold through relationships, the body, and everyday life. Seeking softens, yet life does not disappear. If anything, it asks to be met more fully.
The conversation opens into the often misunderstood terrain of kundalini awakening and spiritual emergency. Awakenings that arrive without preparation. Experiences labeled as psychosis. Moments of insight that come before the nervous system has the capacity to hold them. Integration is not treated as a phase, but as an ongoing process that unfolds over years.
Again and again, we return to embodiment. To the understanding that transcendence without embodiment can leave parts of us untouched. That spiritual bypassing, even when subtle, delays healing. That realization matures when we are willing to meet emotion, fatigue, relationship, and ordinary life as sacred ground.
Birth, parenting, exhaustion, tantrums, love, and service reveal Vedanta through flesh and blood. The child as pure prakriti. The body as teacher. Judgment, rather than identity, quietly shaping suffering.
What remains is a grounded reflection on paradox. Being both divine and deeply human. Structure and flow. Ha and Tha. Masculine and feminine principles as partners rather than opposites, and the wider return of feminine wisdom in yoga and spirituality, honoring cycles, birth, menopause, trauma informed embodiment, and relational depth that were long left unspoken.
Long term immersion supports integration in ways peak experiences cannot.
And underneath it all, a quiet reassurance. That nothing on the path was wrong. That every stage served the unfolding. That all is well, has always been well, and will always be well.
If your heart has ever known truth before language, if your awakening asked you to come back into life rather than leave it, this conversation is for you.

Pleasure as Prayer.
These words have been moving through my heart as the living theme for this year’s Navarātri Online Festival.
The choice is not accidental. For many of us, prayer has been tied to duty, to fear, to heaviness. And pleasure has often been hidden in the shadows, wrapped in shame or secrecy.
Yet what if both prayer and pleasure were never meant to be separate.
In this new episode of Born to Be Free, I place myself in the seat of the guest, while my dear sister and longtime student, Amanda Devi, steps in as hostess.
Amanda’s own journey began years ago when she first joined Navarātri, a doorway that opened her into the teachings of devotion and sacred sexuality, into women’s circles, priestess initiations, and into her own path as a therapist and guide. So it feels deeply precious that she is the one guiding this conversation.
Together we enter a very human and sacred inquiry: fear, prayer, and pleasure.
Fear is something we all know.
The fear of not being enough.
The fear of judgment.
The fear of being misunderstood.
My own teacher once gave me a mantra that changed everything: “Oh fear, I welcome you, you are my best friend.” Over time I learned to walk with fear instead of fighting it. To breathe it in, to give it space, to let it soften me. When I could do that, fear itself became a kind of prayer… a doorway into freedom.
And then there is pleasure. Not the kind clouded by shame or pressure, but the simple pleasure of being alive. The breath moving through the body. The warmth of touch. The joy of intimacy with life itself. When held in reverence, pleasure too becomes prayer — a way of offering our humanity back to the Goddess.
From September 22 to October 1, our Free Navarātri Online Festival will gather seekers from across the world. This year is especially precious because instead of inviting dozens of outside teachers, we will be guided by the very faculty of The Muse, The Golden Womb. What you will taste in Navarātri is a glimpse into the deeper Muse journey — a weaving of trauma-informed healing, sacred sexuality, and embodied devotion, offered in the spirit of the Goddess.
If you have ever carried fear in your body, if you have longed to feel your devotion alive in every breath, these nine nights are for you.
Come as you are.
Bring your fear, bring your longing, bring your joy.
Together we will remember.
Together we will pray.
Together we will celebrate that pleasure too belongs to the sacred.

Have you ever wondered if the very places you resist, the shock, the wound, the contraction, could be the same places that open the door to life’s deepest pleasure?
In this episode, I sit with Euphrasia Niyaki, lovingly known as Efu… a woman who carries the transmission of mystery in her very being. Born in Tanzania and rooted in the traditions of her people, she grew up surrounded by ritual, community, and ancestral remembrance. These foundations continue to shape her path as a healer and teacher.
For more than three decades, Efu has devoted her life to guiding others back into wholeness. She is a senior trainer in Somatic Experiencing, a long-time practitioner of Family Constellation, and the founder of AFYA Holistic Healing Center in Brazil. This sanctuary is a place where women and communities gather to reclaim their bodies, release the weight of trauma, and return to the resources of life within them. Carrying this work across continents, she has supported people from all walks of life to rediscover what it means to be alive, present, and resourced.
And yet, what she reveals is that trauma is not always what we think it is. We imagine it to be only the extraordinary events — war, violence, catastrophe. But she reminds us it can also be found in the small, ordinary ruptures of life.
The moment of birth, when we leave the warm waters of the womb for the blinding lights of a hospital room.
The blast of a horn or the sudden boom of a city street that jolts our body into shock.
The look from a boss that leaves us spiraling into questions of safety and survival.
The sting of realizing our friends left us out, the whisper of exclusion echoing the wounds of childhood.
These are traumas too. They live in the nervous system, unfinished and unresolved. They keep us locked in cycles of defense, protecting life at all costs but never fully living.
And this is where Efu’s wisdom turns us toward an unexpected doorway: the body’s innate capacity to resolve. Healing is not always about retelling the story. It begins when the nervous system is given the chance to complete what it could not finish before. And strangely, tenderly, this path often leads us back through pleasure.
It may sound surprising, but pleasure is not a luxury. It is medicine. The body relaxes, the breath deepens, a soft tingling arises, and suddenly the system remembers what ease feels like. In those moments something radical unfolds: comfort, safety, even joy. Efu calls it “the orgasm of life.”
Of course, staying with pleasure is not always simple. Many of us find it easier to stay in pain than to allow softness. Yet, when we let ourselves rest in even the smallest sensations of ease…the warmth of breath, the muscles releasing, the heartbeat slowing — something shifts. Shame begins to dissolve. The layers of defense soften. We remember that underneath it all, we are whole.
This conversation felt like a transmission, a living reminder that the body longs for us to return home, not only to the wound but also to the wonder.
It is such a gift to share this space with Efu, and even more so to welcome her into our wider temple field. She will be joining us for Navaratri: Nine Nights of the Goddess Festival, and as part of the faculty of The Muse: The Golden Womb, our trauma-informed Sacred Sexuality Devi Coaching Certification. Her presence will guide us deeper into the medicine of the body, the mystery of life, and the grace of returning to pleasure.
If your body has ever longed to release the grip of pain and remember its natural joy, this conversation is for you.

Have you ever wondered what it truly means to come home to yourself?
Not the version of you shaped by religion, family traditions, or others’ expectations…
But the one who remembers.
The one who feels.
The one who longs to trust again, to feel safe in her body, to make love to life from wholeness.
In this episode, I sit in sacred conversation with Hanne Mysen, a graduate of The Muse: The Golden Womb. A woman of many layers. A priest’s daughter. A sensual mystic. A being who chose to meet her wounds with love and walk the long spiral home to herself.
Hanne shares what it’s like to grow up surrounded by the language of God but disconnected from Her body. To feel the ache of not being reflected in the altar. To live in a family where image and devotion collided, and to carry silent questions about power, sexuality, and belonging with nowhere safe to bring them.
This is a transmission about what happens when a woman dares to step out of performance and into presence. When she turns inward and listens.
When she begins to trust the tremble, the rage, the grief, and the longing.
We speak about childhood imprinting, sexual trauma, secrecy and shame. Of the quiet betrayals that happen when spiritual roles are assigned but not embodied.
Hanne speaks of her turning point with such clarity and beauty — leaving behind relationships and structures that no longer honored her truth, and stepping into the fertile ground of trauma-informed sacred sexuality.
And we meet there.
In The Golden Womb. The temple of remembrance where we bow to both the pain and the pleasure.
Where Vedānta meets the wild Eros.
Where plant medicine offers what words cannot.
And where the sacred body, once shamed and hidden, becomes the altar.
In this episode, I also share something very personal.A recent experience of cosmic lovemaking — not metaphor, but real.
The kind that shakes the bones and rewrites the nervous system. The kind that can only happen after years of softening, praying, crying, healing, screaming, letting go, and letting truth touch you so deeply that it dissolves the lie of separation.
Because healing is not an idea. It is a full-body remembrance.
We speak of the union of Shiva and Shakti within.
We speak of women who gather in sisterhood not to perform but to purify.
Not to be seen but to truly see.
And we speak of what happens when that sacred seeing is turned inward … and a woman finally meets herself.
This episode is not tidy.
It is not a list of steps.
It is an offering for the part of you that is tired of pretending.
For the part of you that aches for a lineage that includes all of you — the blood, the beauty, the breakdown, the bliss.
We are not meant to do this alone.
And we do not have to.
If you’ve ever looked at your own story and thought “this is too much,”If you’ve ever wondered whether you will feel whole again,If you are yearning for a space to bring all of you, your wounds and your wisdom…this is for you.
The golden womb is not a metaphor. She is real. And she is waiting.
Will you enter?- -

In this rare and intimate episode, the mic is turned…
This time, toward me.
I’m joined by my sister Lovisa Dahl—someone who has walked beside me for years, not just as a student, but as a dear friend and soul companion. She knows me in many forms. And in this conversation, she invites more of me forward.
What unfolds is not just an interview. It’s a deeper kind of sharing.
A soft peeling back. A remembering. A homecoming.
We speak about the Be Woman Project, how it began as a whispered prayer from my teacher—“Know woman. Be woman. All woman. Nature, nurture me.”
That prayer became a song.
The song became a circle.
And the circle became a global movement for women to gather, remember, and reclaim who they are.
We talk about the sisterhood wound... How jealousy between women, and how much that has shaped us… the subtle (and not so subtle) ways we’ve been taught to compete, compare, and hold back. And how admiration—genuine, embodied admiration—is one of the most powerful medicines we have to heal that wound.
And then we go deeper.
I open up about my own sacred merging..
I share more about the parts of me I used to keep separate..
The traditional path of Advaita Vedānta I’ve studied and taught for many years.
And the wild, embodied world of sacred sexuality and Eros that cracked me open in a completely different way.
For a long time, I didn’t know how to bring them together.
I thought one gave me credibility and respect… the other gave me life.
But what I’ve realized over the years is that these paths don’t cancel each other out.
And the truth is… they were never meant to be separate.
They complete each other.
This episode is about that integration.
About giving myself permission to be all of it.
The chanting priestess.
The orgasmic witch.
The woman who prays with words and with touch.
I speak about healing trauma. About giving yourself pleasure during your moon. About grief. About devotion. About finding home in your own hands. And I share what’s arriving now—what I call the Sacred Triangle: the marriage of Vedānta, Eros, and Plant Medicine...Three rivers flowing into one wild, holy current.
I also speak about what’s calling me forward now: a deeper vision.
If you’ve ever felt pulled between your spiritual life and your sensual body…
If you’ve ever struggled to feel fully seen inside the structures you were once devoted to…
Or if you’re simply longing for honest conversation, permission, and the feeling of being deeply met—
This episode is for you.
Come listen.
Come closer.
This is a space where ALL of YOU is welcome._ _

In this intimate and powerfully alive conversation, I’m joined by returning guest, beloved sister, and sacred cyclical guide Disa Mineur, newly emerged from the cocoon of postpartum with her second child, and radiant with the wisdom of one who has walked through fire and returned to the temple of her own womb.
Together, we explore orgasmic freebirth, decolonizing the body, and what it means to be a woman who can hold both the grief of the world and the bliss of creation.
Disa shares how she unschooled herself from colonized, medicalized narratives of birth…peeling back layers of fear, shame, and separation to remember birth as a sacred, sovereign, psychedelic rite of passage.
Through devotion, self-touch, and cyclical intimacy, she prepared her body as altar.
We trace her journey from The Diamond Mentorship into the depths of her freebirth, what she calls “birth like a bear".
A mammalian descent.
A mystical opening.
She speaks of DMT waves, divine communion, and the fluorescent light of life moving through her womb.
This is also a story of sacred support…of being held by both feminine and masculine presence. And the grace that arrives when a woman is tenderly met by sisters, and deeply witnessed by her beloved.
Her story is a transmission. A remembering.
how a cervix can be a stargate.
how pleasure is prayer, and prayer is power.
how a woman, fully with herself, changes the world.
Whether you are a mother or not, this is for you…if you are curious about what it means to live from your body’s truth, birth your projects from devotion, and remember that you belong to the sacred.
It is also a sacred prelude to what’s to come: Disa now joins the faculty of The Muse: The Golden Womb—a trauma-informed sacred sexuality and Devi Coaching Certification beginning after Navarātri. Her lived wisdom will guide women into cyclical awareness, womb reclamation, and full-spectrum embodiment.
If you’ve longed to return to your womb as temple… your body as sacred… this is your call.
Enter the web.
Feel the wave.
And remember.

This episode is an invitation into the quiet, often overlooked space where burnout lives, where our service to others begins to cost us our connection to ourselves.
In this intimate and heart-opening conversation, I sit with my beloved sister, Elisa Maran: Ayurveda practitioner, herbalist, mother, and former humanitarian aid worker.
We met seven years ago in Sicily during a Vedānta immersion with my revered teacher. She offered me one of the most soul-soothing massages I’ve ever received. Her presence, her hands, her touch... I knew in that moment she was carrying something sacred. Since then, we’ve walked side by side through many seasons, through cycles of grief, joy, birth, and becoming.
Elisa’s path has not been linear.
She’s worked in child protection across Nepal, India, and Thailand. She’s lived in tribal villages, studied Sanskrit, practiced permaculture, and walked barefoot back into the embrace of Mother Earth.
But the turning point came when she realized she could no longer live in a way that disregarded her body’s truth.
Even with her knowledge of Ayurveda, she was still treating herself like a machine…something to fix, to keep going.
And it was in the breakdown that the breakthrough came.
In this conversation, we speak about the cost of giving from an empty cup.
About the nervous system on constant alert.
About the guilt that follows pleasure.
And about the sacred disarmament that begins when we finally start mothering ourselves.
Ayurveda, here, is not a lifestyle trend.
It is a return to the original temple. It’s about listening. Slowing down. Feeling again. It’s the language of oil, earth, ritual, and repair.
And I’m so honored to share that Elisa is one of the guest teachers in The Muse: The Golden Womb, our trauma-informed sacred sexuality coaching certification. In this upcoming cycle, she returns to offer what we lovingly call the “Witch’s Corner,” a deep dive into the sacred art of herbalism, embodied Ayurveda, plant rituals, and pleasure-based nourishment. She’ll guide us in making tinctures, oils, and ancestral medicine that awaken our hands and our hearts.
It’s the kind of education I wish every woman received…
how to remember your power through your senses, your cycle, and your touch.
This episode is a blessing for the woman who is tired of being the strong one. For the ones whose systems are whispering slow down. For the healers, the givers, the quiet warriors who’ve been holding so much for so long.
If you’re longing to feel whole again, to melt the armor, to come back into joy…
not as performance but as prayer, this is for you.
Come sit with us.
Something tender is waiting to be remembered.

“I grew up knowing that pleasure was something incredible… but I couldn’t find anyone who could say, ‘Yes. Yes, it’s sacred.’” - Maca
In this deeply intimate episode of Born to Be Free, I’m joined by my beloved sister, student, pleasure coach, and fellow priestess Macarena “Maca” Knop. She is a medical doctor, a specialist in Dermatology and Venereology (Sexual Health). Her path is not a split between intellect and embodiment, it is a sacred fusion of both modern medicine with ancient wisdom, bringing together the nervous system, female anatomy, and the mystery of Shakti.
What unfolds is a powerful conversation about reclamation of pleasure, of wholeness, of the sacred body.
Maca shares how she moved from the rigid frameworks of modern medicine into a trauma-informed, spirit-rooted way of practicing and living. From her medical studies in Santiago to her specialization in Munich, and into the sacred circles of the Heroine’s Journey and Priestess Initiation in Bali, she has been on a journey of remembering: that our bodies are not clinical problems to fix, but radiant vessels of power and intelligence.
She speaks with raw honesty about realizing that her textbooks never included the full anatomy of the clitoris. About what it felt like to be told she was too much—too joyful, too sensual, too alive. About the sacred shift that happened when she found herself held by sisters who didn’t try to shrink her, but celebrated her.
We talk about what it means to carry trauma in the nervous system…not just from violence or crisis, but from the subtle ways we’ve been shamed out of our radiance. The unspoken rules around pleasure. And how the body remembers all of it…until we listen, gently and with reverence, and choose to come back.
Maca now offers her medicine from a different place…one rooted in Shakti, in truth, in the full yes of her being. And she will be joining the faculty of The Muse: The Golden Womb to teach sacred female anatomy and the intricate, beautiful relationship between sexuality and the nervous system.
This episode is an offering for the part of you that’s been silenced. For the woman who wonders if her joy is too much. For the sacred being in you that already knows: you were never broken.
If your pleasure has ever felt unsafe…
if your body has carried both wonder and confusion…
if you’re ready to come home to yourself, this is for you.
Come, let your body hear what it always knew.

What happens when a woman tells the truth about her pleasure?
When she speaks aloud what most have learned to hide—clitoris, orgasm, sacred birth—on a TEDx stage, in a viral article, and on national television?
In this episode of Born to be Free, I welcome back Lovisa Dahl, sacred sexuality guide, biodynamic healer, mother of three, and radiant voice for the reclamation of birth as a sacred rite. Lovisa is not only a dear sister on this path, she is also one of the guest teachers inside the upcoming ‘The Muse: The Golden Womb’ program. Her story carries the fire of lived experience. She has walked through the gates of orgasmic birth, publicly shared her truth with the world, and met both reverence and resistance.
Lovisa reveals what unfolded after choosing to speak her truth, out loud, into a world still afraid of feminine power.
Yes, there was celebration…but also criticism, projection, and the quiet sting of cultural discomfort. Because when a woman claims pleasure, when she names birth as sacred and sexual, she becomes a mirror for everything society has tried to repress.
Together, we explore the layers of shame that still surround birth, sex, and feminine power—and why the world often punishes women who dare to live and speak freely.
Lovisa brings this depth of remembrance into her offering within The Muse which is a trauma-informed sacred sexuality program that I am opening again this Autumn.
Inside the Muse, we weave a rich and integrative temple path that includes somatic trauma healing and nervous system restoration; family constellation and ancestral lineage work; Ayurveda, herbal medicine, and sacred womb care; gender inclusivity and decolonized sexuality; anatomy of arousal, birth reclamation, and sex magic; as well as myth rewriting, dharmic purpose, and the Heroine’s Journey.
Each part of the journey is designed to return us to our sovereign wholeness.
Not through force, but through embodied grace.
Lovisa’s Love Birth Method, rooted in embodiment, pleasure, relaxation, visualization, and surrender - is a powerful part of this. Whether you're preparing for motherhood or simply longing to feel safe in your body again, her wisdom meets you where you are. It is a reminder that pleasure is not a luxury. It is a birthright.
This episode is for anyone who has felt the pain of being too much…or not enough.
Anyone who has feared their truth would be rejected.
Anyone who is ready to let shame fall away and step into embodied radiance.
If you’ve ever felt punished for your joy, if you’ve longed to feel safe in your truth, if you’re ready to remember who you are underneath the silence, this is for you.
✨ You are not too much.
✨ You are not wrong.
✨ You are not alone.
The Muse begins soon. But the remembering can start now.
Come. Listen. Be held.
You were born for this.

In this solo episode of Born to Be Free, recorded in Davos, the birthplace of this podcast...I share one of the most vulnerable chapters of my life.
Earlier this year in Bali, I found myself navigating a health crisis that brought me face-to-face with long-buried shame and deeper layers of healing I hadn’t yet met. What you’ll witness are raw clips I recorded just days after undergoing surgery. They are unfiltered, bloody, and real..an offering of truth, not perfection.
For most of my life, I’ve walked the path of alternative healing—Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, plant medicine, holistic therapies. And I still honor those traditions deeply. But sometimes, we must also receive the grace of Western medicine. I’m grateful for that system too, for the support it offered when I needed it most. So I made the choice to undergo bone graft surgery. Not because it aligned with how I usually do things, but because it was necessary.
Because...
'’In the worst-case scenario, you will lose your teeth.”
That was the diagnosis my dentist in Bali gave me after a checkup I scheduled—because of a dream.
In the dream, I lost all my teeth. It wasn’t the first time.
I’ve had this dream a few times in my life.
For many years, I carried a strong, almost primal fear in my system: the fear that one day I would lose all my teeth.
I was raised with the belief that having beautiful teeth was essential—necessary—to attract a partner. And I know that may sound silly to you, but to me, it was deeply ingrained.
One part of me knew that belief wasn’t true. And another part of me truly believed that it was.
My self-image became tied to the beauty, the health, the well-being of my teeth. My gums are bigger than most, and for many years I was self-conscious about it. I didn’t like that part of my body.
But through many love rituals and deep personal work, I learned to accept it. Maybe I can’t yet say I love it—but I can accept it. I can appreciate it.
I can witness the wonder and infinite intelligence in that part of me. Then came the day when I had to face it all. I needed surgery. I had periodontitis, and I didn’t want to lose my teeth.
The doctor told me: You can do a bone graft surgery, and hopefully the bone will regenerate in the next four to eight months—and you’ll be able to keep your teeth.
So I did the surgery.
For two weeks, I was in bed with stitches in my mouth.
And in those quiet, tender days, I descended underground— I met the little girl who felt so ashamed of her teeth. Ashamed of having braces. Ashamed of being seen.
And in those two weeks, I released an incredible amount of shame—shame that had been buried at the bottom of the iceberg, also known as the unconscious.
I’m sharing this with you so you know: you’re not alone. Maybe there’s something in your life that you’re struggling with—your looks, your hair, your back, your skin… whatever it may be.
I know so many people who are suffering quietly with these things.
So please—hear me when I say:
You are not alone. Reach out for help. Get support. And remember: you are ever loved.
No matter what.
With love and sovereignty,
Sharada

This sharing arose within a sacred container inside the Devi Temple—a membership, a space where we come together in devotion, inquiry, and remembrance.
After returning from the Eros Mystery School immersion with Dr. Marc Gafni, Kristina Kincaid, Marcus & Vylana Aubrey, I felt the pulse to speak to what was stirring deeply in the field of relationship, marriage, separation, and the eternal path of wholeness.
Together, we explore the Vedic understanding that life itself is relationship…not just between people, but between self and the whole. In a world aching from what Dr. Gafni calls a global intimacy disorder, many of us are left reaching for connection from a place of not knowing who we are. This not-knowing becomes the root of so much pain, confusion, and grasping in love.
From the lens of Vedanta, relationships are not ends in themselves, but mirrors…sacred grounds for ego development, healing, and ultimately, liberation. We explore the nature of self-knowledge as freedom, the radical idea of relationship-less-ness, and the evolution from rolemates to soulmates to wholemates—those who walk together with a shared vision of truth.
We also speak to the very human experience of need: how we haven’t learned to ask, how we sometimes sever what still holds value, and how learning to articulate what we require, without shame, can itself be a spiritual practice.
✨ This is not a guide to fixing relationships. It’s an invitation to see through them—to the love that doesn’t leave, the presence that was never separate, and the infinite being we are, even in the mess, the longing, and the grace of it all.
Listen to the full episode when you're ready to sit with the beauty, the paradox, the freedom of sacred relating, and sit with the inquiry: What if every relationship, especially the difficult ones, were an invitation to return home to yourself?

We’ve been conditioned to chase the thrill…the butterflies, the intoxicating pull, the undeniable chemistry. We’re told it’s a sign, a cosmic green light that we’ve found the one. But what if that rush isn’t leading us to love at all? What if it’s keeping us in a cycle of heartbreak, confusion, and unmet expectations? What if the real secret to love isn’t in the sparks, but in something deeper—something we create rather than just feel?
This is exactly what we explore in my latest episode of Born to Be Free with the brilliant Alison Armstrong. She is not just a relationship expert, she’s a pioneer in understanding the intricate dynamics between men and women. With over two decades of research, her work, including The Queen’s Code, has transformed how people navigate love, dating, and commitment. In our conversation, she strips away the illusions we’ve been sold about love, revealing why we get stuck in destructive patterns, how we unconsciously sabotage intimacy, and how we can begin choosing relationships that truly nourish us.
Together, we dismantle the myth of chemistry, exposing how it blinds us, tricks us into seeing what we want instead of what is, and often keeps us chasing love that isn’t real. We uncover the difference between fleeting passion and deep connection, the illusion that we must deserve love versus simply receiving it, and the silent expectations that sabotage relationships before they even begin. This episode isn’t just a conversation…it’s an invitation to shift how we approach love, to move from chasing sparks to building something unshakable.
If you’ve ever felt pulled into love that fades too fast or wondered why attraction doesn’t always lead to fulfillment, this episode is for you. Listen now, and let’s rewrite the way we love—starting with the way we understand it.

ABOUT Alison Armstrong
Alison Armstrong’s exploration of human behavior began in 1991, with her decision to study men:
"To find out how I was bringing out the worst in them. And hopefully, how to bring out the best." Her success in understanding men naturally led to studying women’s behavior and making vital connections between the two.
As her work evolved over decades, Alison now illuminates human characteristics that precede and express themselves regardless of gender, age, and upbringing. She distinguishes normal human instincts that compel both men and women to behave in ways that contradict and undermine our own purposes, goals, values, needs, and relationships.
Besides fulfilling the need to understand why people behave as they do, Alison offers practical, partnership-based alternatives. Through her seminars, books, online programs, and media contributions, she has been giving millions of people access to more fulfilling lives, loving relationships, stronger families, and productive organizations.
Alison is a sought-after speaker and thought leader among people with the desire to live empowered lives. Her philosophy and approach are referenced and taught by other authors, speakers, business consultants, and therapists.

So much of our suffering comes from forgetting—forgetting our own light, our connection to the divine, the simplicity of happiness. We search for meaning, for healing, for something that will make us feel whole. But what if nothing was ever lost? What if purification is not just about cleansing, but about returning to the truth of our being?
This is the wisdom that flowed through my conversation with two of Bali's most beloved spiritual leaders..
In this episode of Born to Be Free, I am joined by Ida Rsi Wisesanatha and Mahā Devī, a High Priest and High Priestess of Bali—guides, healers, and keepers of sacred wisdom. Their devotion to spiritual service is profound, rooted in an ancient lineage where the art of energetic realignment is not just a ritual, but a profound energetic process—one that clears the past, dissolves unnecessary energy, and creates space for true awakening.
Ida Rsi explains that purification is about restoring balance—not just in this lifetime, but even through the unseen imprints of past experiences. It is a process of releasing, of un-skinning the soul, so that we may step closer to our true selves.
Mahā Devī shares how, as a High Priestess, she moves through this work intuitively—feeling the energy of those she guides, sensing where the body and soul are calling for release. Through deep connection, through water, through intention, she guides others back to themselves.
Because ultimately, purification is not about becoming something different. It is about returning to what has always been true. It is about dissolving the layers that have covered our light, the distractions that pull us away, the noise that makes us forget that happiness—real, unshakable happiness—is not something we need to chase. It is already here.
"Happiness is already there. You don’t have to chase it—you just have to trust."
How often do we complicate what is actually simple? How often do we chase after something that was within us all along?
This conversation is an invitation—to purify, to remember, to return. If you have been feeling the pull to reconnect with yourself, to let go of the old and step into something lighter, this episode is for you.
And for those who feel called to deepen their journey, Ida Rsi will also be part of the upcoming Priestess Initiation here in Swasti—bringing their sacred knowledge and presence to this powerful rite of passage. To learn from him in this way, to experience the depth of his wisdom and healing firsthand, is a rare and profound gift.

The Truth About Menopause: A New Era of Feminine Power with Gaiana
In this episode of Born To Be Free, I have the honor of welcoming back my dear friend, Beta Gaiana Radha Lisboa—a trauma therapist, family constellation therapist, and author of Women’s Embodiment Guide.
Together, we dive into the topic of menopause and challenge the widespread narrative that it marks the decline of a woman’s radiance, libido, power, and status. In reality, it is the opposite.
Across various traditions, menopause is recognized as a time of wisdom and empowerment—whether as vrddha in the Vedic tradition, the Amazon woman, the māgā, or the healer.
This is a phase where women harness the fruits of their years of experience and step into their roles as wise elders, guiding the next generation. We also explore sacred sexuality and how, for Gaiana, menopause resurfaced unprocessed sexual trauma.
Through deep healing practices, she found her inner power, realizing that she is more alive and vibrant than ever. Instead of being an ending, this phase became her “second spring,” as it is called in Taoist tradition. Another powerful transformation emerged from this period: Kanika, Gaiana’s temple-wear clothing brand, which she devoted three years to creating.
This offering became an integral part of her journey, allowing her to honor this transition with grace and dignity—something many struggle with when menopause is not met with proper care, nourishment, and rest in earlier years.
We also discuss the importance of rituals and rites of passage, marking each phase of life with sacred intention. This conversation is a powerful reminder that menopause is not an end—it is an initiation into deeper wisdom, sensuality, and embodied power.
Key Notes
- Menopause as Empowerment: Contrary to societal beliefs, menopause is a time of strength, radiance, and wisdom
- Traditional Perspectives: The Vedic and other ancient traditions recognize this phase as entering the role of the wise woman, healer, or Amazon woman.
- Sacred Sexuality & Healing: Gaiana’s journey included healing past trauma and discovering deeper sensuality and vitality.
- “Second Spring”: In Taoist tradition, menopause is seen as a rebirth into new energy, rather than an end - Kanika
– A Sacred Offering: The creation of her temple-wear brand helped Gaiana move through this transition with grace and purpose.
- The Role of Ritual: Rites of passage and sacred ceremonies are essential for honoring life transitions.
- Preparation is Key: Menopause is easier when the years of bleeding are met with proper rest, nourishment, and self-care.
Tune in and join us for this intimate, transformative dialogue.

Have you ever felt life gently nudging you in a certain direction, through a chance encounter, a perfectly timed moment, or an unexplained pull in your heart? These moments, however subtle, carry the potential to reshape our lives when we learn to trust them—whispering ancient wisdom that our souls somehow recognize.
In this week's episode of Born to Be Free, I am honored to welcome the luminous Vivien, a sister, a student, and a radiant soul whose story is a testament to resilience, self-love, and the sacred dance of surrender. Her journey unfolds like a masterpiece of human spirit, where heartbreak and challenges transformed into the very foundation of a life overflowing with abundance and sovereignty.
At just 24 years old, Vivien faced an ectopic pregnancy—a devastating experience that not only threatened her physical existence but left her with the heartbreaking prognosis that she might never conceive naturally. This news could have shattered her world into irreparable pieces, but instead, it marked the beginning of a profound transformation. She turned inward, seeking healing through the ancient wisdom of yoga, purifying detox practices, and sacred rituals, which eventually led her to defy medical odds and become the mother of two beautiful boys.
But her story isn't only about overcoming physical challenges; it's about reclaiming her inner power in its most raw and authentic form. Vivien shares how she once lost herself in the labyrinth of relationships, pouring all her love and energy into others while suppressing her own wild, creative essence. A pivotal moment came when she chose to embrace celibacy—not as a rejection of connection, but as a radical act of self-love that would reshape her entire understanding of relationships. It wasn't just about abstaining. It was about bringing all the love and attention you had been giving to others back to yourself. It was about reclaiming sovereignty.
This decision allowed her to heal deeply ingrained patterns of overgiving and set boundaries, especially within relationships that didn't align with her highest self. Vivien shares how she often suppressed her wild woman and lover archetypes to maintain harmony, only to realize that doing so stifled her creativity, joy, and the very essence of who she was meant to be.
Along the way, Vivien found herself guided by synchronicities and sacred encounters that reflected the inner work she needed to embrace —like meeting a German engineer on a plane who spoke of cosmic love or crossing paths with a woman whose story mirrored her own struggles with self-worth and boundaries. These chance encounters became divine messages, reminding her of the wisdom and courage she already held within.
Her transformation reached a profound depth during The Nectar of You immersion I recently hosted in Portugal. Surrounded by sisters and held in the embrace of sacred rituals, Vivien shed old fears and limiting beliefs that had weighed her down for years. She describes the experience as a reclamation of her wild, creative essence and a return to her own inner nectar—a wellspring of joy, power, and self-worth that had always been within her, waiting to be remembered.
But there's so much more to this story than words can capture. How does one describe the moment when a woman realizes she's been living in the shallow waters of life when an ocean of possibility awaits? What really happens when we stop dimming our light to make others comfortable?
Join us for this raw, unfiltered conversation that dares to ask: What becomes possible when we finally trust the whispers of our soul?
Let Vivien's journey be your invitation to dive deeper into your own mystery—to reclaim your power, trust your intuition, and remember that sometimes, the most profound healing begins with a simple act of coming home to yourself.

Your voice is more than a sound—it’s a bridge to something greater, a tool for healing, connection, and awakening. When you truly connect to your body and allow it to lead, your voice becomes a beacon of trust, a source of unwavering confidence, and a pathway to your deepest truths.
I am delighted to share this deeply inspiring episode of the Born to Be Free podcast with you. I sit under the banyan tree with my sacred sister, Marlia Coeur—an extraordinary musician, soul writer, and priestess. Her journey is a profound reflection of resilience, transformation, and the magic of reconnecting with our true selves.
Marlia speaks with such authenticity about the moments that shaped her path. She shares how the non-recognition from her parents and the heartbreak of being denied her dream of studying at Berkeley University became catalysts for her evolution. Through every obstacle, Marlia discovered that the wisdom of her body and the healing power of her voice were her greatest allies.
“It has always been here,” she says. “And for me, that’s a beautiful and powerful constant that keeps on traveling with me and gives me the trust and this unwavering confidence that no matter what, when you are really connected to the body, to the voice, they will guide you.”
Her story is an invitation to see our voice as more than sound. It is a sacred tool for healing, a bridge to reclaim our power, and a portal to connect with the divine. Marlia’s journey of vocal activation reminds us that the voice is medicine—raw, potent, and transformative.
Blending her Cypriot and Greek heritage with influences from Indian ragas, Middle Eastern melodies, and ancient sound practices, Marlia has crafted a path of deep healing and connection. Her voice carries not only the echoes of her ancestors but the universal rhythms of prayer, song, and the sacred.
If her story speaks to your soul, I warmly invite you to join us in Bali this March for The Priestess Initiation Training, an 18-day transformative journey from birth to death. Marlia will join us as a facilitator and priestess, sharing her gifts of vocal activation, sacred music, and embodiment practices. Together, we will immerse ourselves in rituals, rites of passage, and the profound healing power of sound.
Listen to this episode to experience the depth of Marlia’s journey. If it stirs something within you, take the next step and join us in Bali. Share this message with someone who might need it, and subscribe for more sacred conversations.

For generations, we’ve been molded by the expectations of a patriarchal society that values productivity over presence, linear progress over natural rhythms. This domestication has disconnected us from our true essence, training us to ignore the deeper wisdom of our bodies and conform to paths that don’t always serve us. But there is another way to live—one that breaks free from these constraints and reclaims our connection to the sacred cycles that guide us.
Today, I’m absolutely thrilled to have my dear friend, and student- Disa Mineur on the Born to Be Free podcast. Disa is a remarkable woman from Sweden, whose life’s work is dedicated to sacred cycles and natural fertility awareness. She has spent over a decade helping others reconnect with their bodies’ natural rhythms. She also joined my mentorship program ‘ The Diamond’ to further deepen her journey. Her path is not just about the teachings she shares—it’s the life she has lived. She embodies what it means to truly embrace the fullness of being human, and I have so much admiration for her courage and wisdom.
Disa’s path has been filled with challenges, yet it’s these very struggles that shaped her into the powerful woman she is today. When she wanted to start a family, she faced the devastating reality of infertility, and then came a diagnosis of severe cervical dysplasia. In that moment, when doctors told her the only option was surgery, something deep within her awakened. She chose not to follow the conventional path but instead trusted in her own inner wisdom. Disa turned to holistic healing, diving into the depths of fertility awareness and the natural cycles of the body. Her journey became about so much more than overcoming a health condition…it was about reclaiming her body and her power. She didn’t just heal; she found herself.
Rewilding is a beautiful process of returning to life as it was meant to be lived—raw, real, and deeply attuned to the natural cycles that flow through us. It’s about embracing the ebb and flow, the moments of rest and growth, the darkness and the light, and finding harmony within these rhythms. By stepping away from the rigid paths that have been laid out for us, we open ourselves to a new way of living—one that honors the wisdom embedded in our bodies and respects the sacredness of each phase we move through. It’s an invitation to reclaim our connection to nature, to our own instincts, and to live in a way that feels authentic, whole, and truly alive.
I invite you to join me in this heartfelt and deeply moving conversation with Disa on the Born to Be Free podcast. If you’ve ever felt disconnected from your body or yearned for a more authentic way to live, this episode will resonate with you. Together, we explore what it means to reclaim your power, to rewild your spirit, and to embrace a life where you are truly free.
