Jacob and Nathan talk about playing risk at family reunions and how Nathan first learned to play risk. Devin, Sarah, and Tim arrive at the Barlows for dinner only to find that the Barlow's youngest biological daughter, Hazel, had grown up to look nearly identical to the Barlow's second oldest daughter, Maddie. Devin was very confused at first. After a delicious dinner of crepes, Sarah and Devin sat down with Keriann and Tom in their basement (With Emma and Maddie sitting close by) for the podcast. Devin learns about Keriann's name, the cousins that were born the same year as her, and even what Tom's cousin number would be if he were born an Andersen. Keriann talks about her mission, her education, and how she and Tom met. Tom tells about their first date, how they got engaged, and meeting the Kartchners for the first time. Aunt Kathy had asked him to share a poem. He replied by saying "Frost, or a Shakespeare Sonnet"? Tom shares a story from his mission before talking about his service in the Navy as well as his gratitude for the business he's received from the Andersen family at his Dermatology Practice in Saratoga Springs. Devin shares his experience of being a patient there recently. Keriann then shares memories of Grandparents, aunts and uncles, and of course, cousins growing up. Devin then shares the memories that he collected from her father and siblings. Tom also shares a delightful memory of meeting Aunt Phyllis when he and Keriann were engaged. For the final topic, Keriann and Tom spoke on being foster parents to their two, soon to be adopted girls, Salem and Priest. Devin asks several questions about that experience and what it's like being a foster parent. Tom then talks about Devin's podcast and how it could perhaps be improved or at the very least, how people should recognize that we are all amazing in our own ways and that we shouldn't be comparing ourselves to each other when we listen to each episode. This interview is split into two parts. This is part 1 Devin, Sarah, and Tim spend their vacation in Hawaii and while there, they stay at the Mission Home in Honolulu where their Uncle Dean and Aunt Colleen live. After staying there several days, Devin and Sarah get the opportunity to interview Dean and Colleen for a few hours in their lovely dining room. Dean and Colleen share their experience of being called as Mission Leaders in the Honolulu Hawaii mission and the miracles that took place for that to occur. Devin then asks Dean questions about his childhood and about his father. Dean shares many interesting and funny memories he had with Devin's father when they were younger, and then Dean and Colleen share memories of their youth and when they dated. Dean and Colleen share memories of Grandma and Grandpa Andersen, Devin's family, and several other memories before the end of this episode. Devin and Sarah record a short blurb to update people on their infertility journey, and how Annie is continuing to help by being attempting to become a gestational carrier for them. Devin shares stories that he heard from Maryelle's family - surgeries that she had in her youth and having to stay in the hospital and miss mother's day. Going on road trips with her family, stories of family reunions, and learning to cook. Brad tells his story of living in England in his youth, going on a mission to the Dominican Republic, and how he met and proposed to Maryelle. Devin, Sarah, and Tim visit the Whites in Vernal while making a trip to also go to the temple and see one of Sarah's co-workers perform in the musical "Annie". Cousin Annaliese and her husband James and their two youngest daughters were wonderful hosts to the Andersen family during their stay. Annalise shares memories of her cousins, aunts and uncles, and of her grandparents. Annaliese was living with Grandma and Grandpa Andersen the year that Grandpa passed away, and she shared some precious memories of that time. Devin then shares a few stories and memories that he had gathered from Annalies's family. As the oldest daughter and the third oldest of fifteen children in the Redd family, she had a profound influence on the lives of her younger siblings. James then tells the story of how he and Annaliese met under the the terrible circumstances of the passing of his first wife just a few months before. Annaliese explained that she had to decide to follow the plan she knew God had laid out for her and that she knew she not only would become James' wife, but also a mother two his two young sons. Annaliese and James tell the story of her cancer diagnosis while being pregnant with their second youngest daughter, the miracles that came from that, and how she was led to then start a school called the White House Academy. Devin, Sarah, and their son Tim, head to Bear Lake for the annual Tim and Jana Andersen Family Reunion. The evening before everyone went home, Devin gathered his siblings, their spouses, and their mother together at the dinner table for a good conversation about Their father and husband, Tim. Jana then shared many amusing and interesting stories about Tim.The siblings then share some of the things that they remember about him. The ending song is a poem that Tim had written on his mission. Devin, with the help of AI, created a song out of the words, and also was able to use a software program to re-create Tim's voice to sing the song. While the poem does not have a title, Devin chose to call the song "Reunion" - because not only was this song first heard at the Andersen Family Reunion, but also the song is about reuniting with those we once knew in heaven. Part 2 of LaDawn and Jim's episode. Jim and LaDawn share their experiences going on missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. First sharing their experience of living in Mexico and how that opportunity came about. They spoke about later serving at the same time as 2 of their daughters in different parts of the world. Jim and LaDawn served in Ukraine with LaDawn's brother, Dale, and Jim's sister, Sue, who also were married and part of the Andersen family. Devin shares some of the other funny memories shared by the Jacob's children: Car accidents and driving with their children, the origins of their famous homemade bread, having their children do difficult things at a very young age and that now their children all feel like they are very capable. LaDawn shares her love of celebrating holidays, the history behind them, and the reason behind why we celebrate those days. Devin then shares his own memories and experiences of staying with the Jacobs as a boy. LaDawn shares the importance of learning people's names, and how memorizing scriptures, poems, and promises in modern prophecy has helped her in difficult and troubling times. She speaks on the importance of covenants and how the promised blessings we seek can be found there. Jim shares more of his experiences of being a shepherd and what that taught him.
