We have been reconciled, forgiven, and right with God by placing our faith in what Jesus has done. It is this amazing thing called Grace. Do we then go out and walk in the flesh that is dead and gone? Absolutely not, instead the key to this new life of freedom is found in the Holy Spirit within us believers.
Are you drinking from the cup of slavery and law, or are you drinking from the cup of freedom bought at the price of Jesus Himself? All of us are sipping on something, only one choice is the one Paul wishes for the church in Galatia and the church today.
People say you need Jesus plus something to keep us in line and to quit sinning like crazy. The truth of the Gospel is that Jesus is enough to save and help us walk according to the Holy Spirit. The Galatians struggled with this and needed correction, and so do we today.
We often wander if we can affect out forgiveness because of our performance. Find out just how secure and safe you are in the finished work of Christ that bought your forgiveness once for all.
How sweet is it to know your "okayness" in Jesus. We are not striving to be more okay, but to realize we are and live by that truth. Choose to experience the healing that comes from realizing Christ in you that is of more power than what the world throws your way. It is not wishful thinking, it is Jesus being who He is
How can you freely obey anything? Obeying is a chore isn't it? not at all. Obeying God is what it is like to live freely because of His blood and life within us. learn what it is like to rely on Jesus' sufficiency rather than trying to get more of God. Maybe Jesus in you is enough to obey what He commands.
A mirror does a great job showing me the dirt on my face, a cheeseburger I shouldn't eat, or a pimple that needs popping. I would be silly to use that mirror to fix any of that or try and wipe my face with it. The law is the same way, it shows me my imperfections, sins, and my needs for cleaning up. That is where Jesus comes in. By faith, I can run to Jesus (Grab a rag) and be cleaned up by His blood and His life within me.
