The Miami Dolphins signed Malik Willis in one of the most interesting signings and this is a perfect spot for Miami where there is no real downside as even if Willis fails, the Dolphins are still in a good spot for the future. Tua Tagovailoa also switched teams and went to the Atlanta Falcons, but this is a move that has very little upside and a lot of downside and could still leave the Falcons in a spot where they have no quarterback, Mike Evans switched squads after a long career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but heads to a better situation with the San Francisco 49ers which is a perfect fit for an all-in team. Alec Pierce also finally got his bag from the Indianapolis Colts, but it seems like a massive overpay. Kenneth Walker went to the Kansas City Chiefs in an interesting move that takes pressure off of Patrick Mahomes. A move the Chiefs needed to do to evolve as a team. Finally, the edge rushers got massive deals like Jaelen Phillips to the Carolina Panthers, which was a massive overpay and Odafe Oweh at $25 million per year with the Washington Commanders, which makes a little more sense. The Baltimore Ravens sent two first round picks to the Las Vegas Raiders in their trade for Maxx Crosby. This is a move we have not seen from the Ravens in their franchise history and it shows they are going all in during the Lamar Jackson prime window. This was a brilliant move by the Raiders to kick start their rebuild with multiple high-value picks as the timeline never matched with Crosby's window anyways. The Chicago Bears dealt DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday in a massive overpay by Buffalo. Moore is a good player still, but a second rounder is far too much to give for the Bills when their roster needs more help at key spots continuing an overestimation of the talent by GM Brandon Beane. This is a fantastic move for the Bears who could absolutely handle the loss of Moore with the talent they have on offense. This is music to the ears of the Philadelphia Eagles though as the price for AJ Brown just went up, but would the New England Patriots pay it or should they go after Alec Pierce in free agency? Pierce would be wise to join the Patriots if possible. Kyler Murray will become a free agent next week and the current offset language in his contract opens up a ton of possibilities for different teams like the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets & Pittsburgh Steelers to get involved since Murray will likely play on a veteran minimum. We saw a BLOCKBUSTER trade in the NFL on Wednesday when the Los Angeles Rams acquired cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs in a deal that should be considered a win-win for both sides. We could see another big trade soon with Maxx Crosby and the Chicago Bears are the best fit. Finally, two veteran free agents in Trey Hendrickson and Mike Evans could garner big interest next week, but finding a landing spot for them is a little more complicated than it seems. The NFL Franchise Tag deadline has come and gone and we have DRAMA. The Indianapolis Colts put the transition tag on Daniel jones in an attempt to keep him around but in the process they have sacrificed other talent on the roster like Alec Pierce, who could now walk in free agency or Michael Pittman Jr, who could be cut to save money to keep Pierce and Jones. This is a dangerous game for Indy. Other franchise tag news included Trey Hendrickson NOT getting the tag from the Cincinnati Bengals in a move that is confusing and leaves the Bengals as a worse team in a critical year. The New York Jets did place the franchise tag on Breece Hall in another move that doesn't make much sense unless it ends with a trade, which is still on the table. Kenneth Walker won't get the tag and is set to leave the Seattle Seahawks in free agency. The Las Vegas Raiders are courting teams for a potential Maxx Crosby trade and some around the league believe it could go down soon. If that is the case, a team like the Chicago Bears or New England Patriots could be an ideal landing spot. Similarly, vibes in Philadelphia indicate the Eagles could be dealing AJ Brown soon. One of the AFC's best quarterbacks could stand to benefit as the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills all make sense. We got more actual trades on Monday though as the Houston Texans were involved in two deals. First, they acquired running back David Montgomery from the Detroit Lions and then dealt offensive tackle Tytus Howard to the Cleveland Browns. While one trade makes sense, the Texans continuing to hurt their offensive line depth does not as they also dealt interior blocker Juice Scruggs. Finally, the NFL combine had it's share of stars, but four Ohio State Buckeyes sit near the top of everyone's boards. The NFL Combine has come to a close and when of the hottest talking points coming out of the event is the QB carousel. The Minnesota Vikings are the best situation out there and it sounds like they are interested in Kyler Murray and Geno Smith, with Murray being the much better fit.
