In the last decade, Sand Valley has become one of America's premier golf destinations. The Break80 Podcast was lucky enough to spend a few days at the resort in central Wisconsin this summer and play all the golf courses.

Rory McIlroy will take the largest 36 hole lead in Masters history into the weekend as he fired a spectacular 2nd round 65 to open up a 6-shot lead over Patrick Reed and Sam Burns.

One of the best weeks of the year is here, the official kick-off to spring, it's Masters time. We will be doing a preview for this years event with things to look for in a potential winner, course insight on Augusta National and other storylines from the 2026 Masters.
We kick off the episode with a recap from the Valero Texas Open, won by JJ Spaun. The event featured some bad weather, cell phone use by caddies and even relief from fire ants in the last event before the Masters.
Asterisk Talley was cruising to victory at the ANWA before a meltdown on the 12th hole ended her hopes and Maria Jose Marin was able to cruise to the title.

It was a week of highs and lows in professional golf as we end the month of March. Tiger Woods got arrested and charged with another DUI for driving under the influence of a cocktail of pills and in the same week, Gary Woodland completed his comeback from brain surgery by winning the Houston Open.

Matt Fitzpatrick and Bryson DeChambeau both stayed hot this week on their respective tours as Fitzpatrick won the Valspar Championship with a birdie on the final hole. Meanwhile, DeChambeau won in South Africa on the LIV tour with a playoff victory over Jon Rahm. Oh, a a certain player named Tiger Woods returned to TGL.

Twin Cities Golf founder Kevin Unterreiner joined us on stage at the Minnesota Golf Show this winter to talk about new things happening with his company and the golf industry in general.

Cameron Young got it done on Sunday at TPC Sawgrass for his 2nd career win on the PGA Tour and biggest of his career yet to date. The current number 4 player in the world used a birdie on 17 and a huge drive on 18 to catapult him to a one shot victory over Matthew Fitzpatrick, who missed an 8 footer for par and the tie on 18.
Ludvig Aberg held a three shot lead midway through the round but collapsed, opening the door for Young and Fitzpatrick to duke it out down the stretch. We will discuss this and all the happenings from the Players Championship.
On LIV, Bryson DeChambeau won in SIngapore after Richard T. Lee missed a very short putt that would have forced a playoff.
PGA Tour CEO, Brian Rolapp, laid out 6 possible changes that could be coming to the PGA Tour, including the return of match play! We will discuss them all and give our reactions at the end of the episode.

Golf is a crazy and brutal game, even for the best in the world. Shane Lowry found that out this week at PGA National for the Cognizant Classic. With a three-shot lead on the 16th tee, he flared an iron into the water, which resulted in a double bogey. On the 17th tee shot he did it again, which allowed Nico Echavarria to take home the title.

Anthony Kim completed a stunning career comeback this weekend as he bested Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau by firing a final round 63 to win going away at LIV Adelaide.
For Kim it was his first win since 2010 on the PGA Tour and was a heartwarming story of overcoming injury, addiction and other things he has been battling. He showed the swagger we all remembered as he poured in put after put to win.
On the PGA Tour, Collin Morikawa made a final hole birdie to hold off Min Woo Lee to win the AT&T Pebble Beach by a shot. World number one, Scottie Scheffler, made a Sunday charge but came up a few shots short.

It was professional golf's party week and we sent Tim down to Arizona for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He took in all the festivities and is gonna fill us in all the wild stuff he saw in Scottsdale.
Chris Gotterup got his 2nd win of the season in a playoff over Hideki Matsuyama and a bogey on the last by Matsuyama sent it into a playoff, which Gotterup birdied the first playoff hole for the win.
Scottie Scheffler made a run the last three rounds after an opening round 73, but he came up a shot short. We will give our reactions to the event and focus on some young players that stood out again and should get serious consideration for the Presidents Cup team.
Patrick Read won again on the DP World Tour, his second victory in three weeks. This all but locks up a 2027 PGA Tour card for the former Masters champion. It also vaulted Reed to number 17 in the world as he looks to get back on golf biggest stage.

Justin Rose blew the doors off the rest of the field this week at Torrey Pines to win his 13th PGA Tour title of his career. Rose started the week hot posting a -10 (62) on the North Course and kept the good play going en route to a record breaking performance in the event with a winning score of -23. We will discuss his play along with others who played well, including the return of Brooks Koepka, who hit it pretty well, but putted horribly in southern California.
It was a wild 3-man playoff on the DP World Tour which included Patrick Reed and Nelly Korda wins a shortened LPGA Tour event in Florida. All this and a wild underwear story on this weeks episode of the Break80 Podcast.

The Break80 Podcast made its way to Florida for the 2026 PGA Show in Orlando. It was our first time at the PGA Show and we were both floored and overwhelmed with this golf industry insiders event.
Around 1 million square feet of golf industry stuff was there. From clothes and apparel to clubs and technology, we will talk about all that we saw and did at our first ever PGA Show.
While in Florida we went and played Cabot Citrus Farms and Streamsong. Both courses and properties were amazing and we will break down everything we thought about them, including some wild nature out at Streamsong.
Last but not least, it was another win for Scottie Scheffler, which is becoming the norm for the world number one player. We will give our reactions to his win and the event, which included an impressive showing for 18-year old, Blades Brown.
