Preparing for Jesus: Mark 1:1-8 During Bible times, God used messengers to spread His word since they didn't have TVs, computers, or newspapers. One of these messengers was John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Jesus by baptizing people and calling them to repent. John brought the good news that the Messiah was coming, and he always pointed back to Jesus. Just like John, we have the job of telling others about Jesus and helping them prepare for His coming. We can trust that God always keeps His promises. Do you have a question for Rachael? Maybe you have questions about God, the Bible, or something you heard on the podcast. This episode is an answer to prayer. I feel my view of God had gotten a touch skewed. I’ve been stressing about where my mom who passed is spending eternity and I’ve been worried about where other family members would go if they died today. I prayed for God to show me who her really is today and I feel this podcast answered it. And I usually only listen to when I’m at work and I have the day off today and just had a feeling I needed to listen today: thank you Rachel and your guest 🙏

we are not just called to love. if that were the case the world could replace the church. we are to teach, admonish & correct. (in love). this is why there is no church discipline anymore.
