This talk is the first in a series on the life and times of Joseph, who served the Lord faithfully for 96 years. He is a true legend of The Faith. This journey Joseph is taken on is not one he would have chosen personally, but during this journey, he finds the Lord at work. The most remarkable part of the story is the Person Joseph becomes. This personal letter from Paul to his friend, Philemon is one of the shorter books in the Bible. Though it is made up of only 25 verses, containing approximately 335 words, depending on the translation. But it contains many principles that remain applicable for believers today. In this brief letter, we shall learn how Paul made the most of every situation to trust the Lord. He always put others before himself and spoke words of encouragement even as he faced challenging times. he wrote this letter and 3 other (Ephesians, Philippians ,Colossians) churches during a period of 2 years being under house arrest.
Today, we look at some important principles which we can discover in a God-ordained season. These will shed light upon where we are and help us see what God is doing in us and how he is using our circumstances to speak with us.

In our modern culture, Satan is portrayed more as a cartoon character than a real entity. But the Bible is clear that Satan is real and is the enemy of God’s people but also the enemy of mankind. Satan is a figure from the Bible who has entered into popular culture. He is often pictured as a red, humanlike creature with horns, a tail and carrying a pitchfork. The Bible paints him in a very different light and in this message, I’m praying that the Holy Spirit will help us see how the devil works and how we can be aware of his schemes.

Today we look at what the FLESH is and what steps we can take to overcome this force in our lives.

Jesus warns his disciples that following him earnestly would not be an easy life. They were to expect that the way he was treated was also the way they would be treated, they would be hated by all men because of him. How do we match up to the challenge of living Christlike lives in this world?

We shall learn from Joseph, Job, David, the Apostle John and a host of others who are willing to mentor us in this way of life.
The New Testament writers often spoke about God’s people who, through believing the gospel of Jesus Christ and by the indwelling Holy Spirit and the power he provides, are given the ability to overcome every obstacle, trial, and temptation that the world, the flesh, and the devil threw at them. We can learn to live like they did. David, Joseph, Job, John, and a host of others will help us and mentor us to live like this.
In this final chapter of the book, as the race of faith approaches its end, Nehemiah is finishing strong. He has overcome some more hurdles to get there. Learn from this great champion of the Faith.
Nehemiah sets about filling this derelict city with the sounds of music and praise and of course normal life. He fills the city with the 'right" people, those who will add to the city's joy and gladness. Are you one of those people?

Today we are in Nehemiah 6 and the builders have almost arrived at the moment of the completion of the project. Over the whole task, from start to finish, he was a model to all involved, what an example of a finisher. He has a lot to say to us about finishing well.
Nehemiah and the builders find themselves in a place of tension, but this tension is not from those who are outside the walls but from those inside! Nehemiah in his wise leadership deals with those issues, you can learn from him.
