Electric Gold: A Nashville SC Supporter Podcast

In this episode, the boys celebrate another astounding week of performances from Nashville SC.  First, they revel in finally slaying the pink dragon as Nashville eliminated Inter Miami from the only competition they truly cared about this year. And then, the boys in gold poured it on against an inferior Orlando City side.  The boys can't get over the awesome performances from new goalkeeper Brian Schwake, and Cristian Espinoza appears to be even better then advertised.  There's actually praise to go around for all the players on Nashville SC, including one Eddi Tagseth, who seems to be everywhere all at once.  Now that Miami has been shown who is daddy, it begs the question - who exactly is the best Argentinian footballer in the MLS?  Because the boys maybe think Messi has been dethroned. And when they're not talking about the Agent of Chaos, the boys take some time to break down the upcoming international break and consider some World Cup thoughts for Team USA.  And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys can barely contain their enthusiasm for probably the best start to the season they could have hoped for.  They break down an incredible week of victories for Nashville SC against Atletico Ottawa and the New England Revolution.  There's plenty of love to go around, including for Super Sam Surridge, the giver of goals, and Brian Schwake in his MLS debut.  But some folks, you just know you're in love as soon as you see them, and that's the case for the boys when they say Warren Madrigal and Maxwell Woledzi this week.  The team's performance obviously reminded the boys of Handel's debut of the Messiah, and they've also got some hot takes about where the team is headed for the season and how high the ceiling could be - if there even is one.  After a quick check of teams around the MLS, the boys break out the crystal balls for predictions on the upcoming second match against Ottawa as well as a road match versus FC Dallas.  And they drink beer.

It's a very special episode of Electric Gold as the boys usher in the 2026 soccer season for Nashville SC.  Up first, the boys look ahead to the matchup with Canadian Premier League champs, Atletico Ottawa.  And to do so, they welcome special guests from the Capital City Supporters Group to share insights about the team, the players and what the hell there is to do in Hamilton, Ontario.  Special guests Bryce and Jon share some great stories about the history of Ottawa soccer, their fan culture, the recent success of their team, and especially the origin of their T-Rex mascot.  And of course, everyone bonds over their love of Letterkenny, SCTV and other Canadian comedy gems.  When that's all done, the boys break out the crystal balls to make some predictions for the first game of the CONCACAF tournament.  And they drink beer.
