The things I’ve said online have often got me into a bit of trouble, and its because I’m not afraid to call people out on their shit … I’m not afraid to discuss taboo topics and I don’t believe that any of us need to live an average life where we do what society is telling us is ‘normal’ … instead its our job to question “Why is that normal?” And is that what we want for our own life? 




This podcast is going to be a space where I chat to experts (and share my own thoughts) on WHY we aren’t living our full potential.

Bowel cancer in people aged 25-45 is up 260%, and the more I learn… the more I know we cannot keep pretending this is normal. Today I’m sitting down with Nick “Dougie” Dugmore, winemarker, dad and bowel cancer survivor, whose story has hit 1.3M views for a reason. Since he started talking openly about his diagnosis - nearly 100 polyps have been found (and removed) in people who went to get checked because of him. When Dawn Mussallem was in her 20s, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. In 2021, her heart failed and she underwent a heart transplant. In the last 13 months, I’ve had my fourth baby.  I attempted to run a marathon but only got through 30km because I was so anemic. Turns out I had bowel cancer and didn’t realise it. Since then, I’ve had bowel surgery and three months of chemotherapy. And now… I’m doing HYROX. (With my husband who had a portion of his lung removed a year ago). Cancer is becoming more frequent for people under the age of 40. You already know my story - a  fitness and nutrition coach who is SO specific about what goes in my body and yet I was diagnosed with stage 2 bowel cancer earlier this year. In July this year, Sami - a fit and healthy personal trainer who was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer, and told by her doctors that she was inoperable.
