Description

In this podcast, I’ll take my stories from Instagram and beyond, to talk about their relationships to life. I’ll talk about my life with horses, my fascination with books and writing and how it all connects across this universe. There will be plenty of self reflection, introspection and in the end, I hope the listeners will take something good away from my stories and discussions. I’ll throw in a little philosophy and wisdom along the way. Photo courtesy of Mira3photography

I’ll shed light on lessons learned on my first summer away from home in 1994
This is a very special episode, recorded in the boot shop at Hotel Turkey in Turkey, Texas. My first remote podcast, recorded during the Bob Wills Day weekend.  In this episode, I will share my thoughts, my experiences and my admiration for everybody in this small Texas town on the edge of the Panhandle and west Texas, and, on the cutting edge of music and so much more.  It was an honor to be amongst great people, great music and everything that encompasses Texas and the Western swing traditions.  So, pull off your coat and throw it in the corner!   cover photo by: Scott Slusher Me, David Bond and Scott Slusher standing on the porch of Bob Wills' childhood home

This is the episode I have been hesitant but also excited about doing. I step away from social commentary and talk about my process and journey of writing and sharing my first(complete)short story as well as share the reply short follow up to it, A Girl And Her Tiger. I love the process of writing and I love borrowing from my imagination as well as my memories of people, places and events in my life. so, sit back and enjoy the ride! as always, thank y'all for listening and for supporting this project and the podcast!Photo credit to Rachel Sebastian ans Mira3 photography
This is a continuation of episode 10, where I discuss fashion, authenticity, individuality and brand loyalty. I dive a little deeper in my thoughts about fashion companies, Hollywood and the modern takes on our western, ranching and cowboy culture. I also talk a little bit about Dad and his loyalty to brands and people. Where else can I talk about Pearl Beer, Poinsettia Milk, Red Wing boots, Yellowstone, Louis Vuitton, and so much more?
Here it is , the episode nobody asked for but most everybody has an invested interest in. In this episode, I will read from a few instagram posts discussing fashion, authenticity, loyalty to brands and some of my favorite people and brands. where else can I discuss checkered vans, wrangler 13mwz, reggae, ska, punk, horses, skating, surfing and the great Mike Ness and Social Distortion?! I am thankful and grateful to the brands that see something in me. Best Hat Store, Kimes, ML Leddy boots, Master supply Company and CowboyWare clothing. and as always, thank you to Rachel and Mira3 photography for a great photo!
In this episode, I will share in some detail about my experiences while attending  my first trip to Las Vagas during the National Finals Rodeo. I will highlight time spent with great friends, new and old. I get slightly emotional when I share about the times and friends and the kindness of others. The music shows were incredible as well as the watch parties. Rolling the dice has never been so fun!
I’ll read from an Instagram post from July of 2022 where I share my experiences working for an equine vet and eating sushi for the first time. I go a little deeper into stepping outside of our comfort zone and trusting others in order to learn and experience new things that could be life changing, even in the smallest way.
In this episode, I will read from 4 of my instagram posts where I talk about gatekeepers, tradition, art, creativity and how it is all connected. No matter what we do, as long as we are creating art, it is ART! It doesn't matter if it's photography, writing, painting, drawing, or training horses, never ever let anyone tell you that what you do is not art. I do my best to see all sides of this discussion and I also like to insert some wisdom shared to me by my mother, who was in her own right an artist, horsewoman and trailblazer. Photo credit: Mark McLennan
In this episode, I will discuss and compare Lonesome Dove ands Dazed And Confused and shed a little light on challenging ourselves rio the things we want to do.
I tell the story of a broken arm in 1997 and how it’s connected to my broken arm this year, 2023. The indestructible mindset instilled in me by my mother. Photo credit to Mira3 photography
In this podcast I will shed more light on an Instagram post from August 2022 about traveling on the greyhound bus to Sheridan Wyoming
