I took a deep dive into 1987, along with special guests James, Maddie, and Nick from I Was a Teenage Film Snob, and after the episode we turned the voting over to you, the people!
We didn't agree with any of the Academy's wins that year, so all six categories went to the social media polls for you, the listeners to decide on.
The voting has concluded and it's time to share the results and officially add these winners to the coveted Revisionist's Almanac.
With this episode cycle completed, we turn our attention to episode twenty-seven, where I was joined by a returning guest and a first time guest - Klarissa Beckstead from I've Seen That One and journalist/writer Saleah Blancaflor - to dissect the year 2017 (The Shape of Water winning Best Picture). This episode will release on Friday, March 6th.
Thanks for checking out the voting results and be sure to subscribe to the channel and rate/review the show!

They found themselves. Together. In Baltimore.
A newly sober man's Christmas Eve dental emergency leads to an unexpected romance with his older dentist as they explore Baltimore together.
That's the tagline for The Baltimorons (2025), one of my ten favorite movies from last year. I had the chance to sit down with the co-writer and star, Michael Strassner, to talk about some of his comedic influences, how his life shaped the film's story, and what the journey has been like seeing the film connect with so many people.
The Baltimorons is up for multiple awards at the Film Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday, February 15th.
