LeeAnna Susan Marie Warner was a 5-year-old girl from Chisholm, Minnesota who disappeared on June 14, 2003 while walking home from a friend’s house, just a block and a half from her home. She was last seen between 5:00 and 5:15 p.m. that afternoon, barefoot and wearing a blue denim dress. When LeeAnna didn’t return, her family and neighbors searched, and police were eventually called. Despite extensive efforts—including ground searches, bloodhounds, helicopters, and following more than a thousand leads—no definitive evidence of what happened has ever been found. Investigators believe she was likely abducted, but the case remains unsolved with no confirmed suspect. Over two decades later, authorities continue to treat LeeAnna’s case as an active investigation until she is found.

18 year old Joshua Maddux disappeared after going for a walk in Woodland Park, Colorado in 2008. Despite searches for him, he seemingly vanished into thin air and his case went cold. But 7 years later, in an abandoned cabin just a mile away from Josh’s home, a set of partially mummified remains were found lodged in the chimney. Josh’s death was technically ruled an accident, but nothing makes sense in the case and there are still questions to this day.

On December 4, 1997, four members of the Daniels family were brutally shot and killed inside their home in the tiny town of Santa Claus, Georgia. The killer was Jerry Scott Heidler, then a 20-year-old man who had previously been acquainted with the Daniels family because they once fostered his sister. Heidler has remained on death row in Georgia since his conviction, and his appeals have been consistently denied.

In July 1997, Michelle Moore-Bosko was murdered in the home she shared with her husband, US Navy sailor Billy Bosko. Investigators zeroed in on a suspect quickly, and despite coerced confessions and a lack of DNA evidence, four men were arrested and charged with the murder. Danial Williams, Joe Dick, Eric Wilson, and Derek Tice all recanted their “confessions”. Eventually, another suspect, Omar Ballard, who had a criminal history of very similar crimes also confessed, but that didn’t stop prosecutors from going after the Norfolk Four. This led to years of appeals, fighting in court, and no justice for Michelle.

Doris Spillers Worrell had a huge heart. The churchgoing mother of three loved to help others, and that’s exactly what she was doing when she welcomed 15 year old Paola Yarberry into her home. But when Doris was killed at the family’s business in 2006, questions about the family’s live-in nanny and Doris’s husband Jon were raised. Unfortunately, her case went cold for nearly 20 years before an arrest was made in 2025. The case is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the GBI regional investigative office in Douglas at (912) 389-4103 or the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office at (912) 384-4227. Ashlea Aldrich, a 29-year-old mother from the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska, was found deceased in a field on the reservation in January 2020, with her death officially ruled an accident caused by hypothermia and alcohol, though her family strongly disputes this and believes she was the victim of long-standing domestic violence that authorities failed to adequately address. Stacy Hill, a 17-year-old from the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Tribe in Minnesota, went missing in September 2009, and her remains were discovered weeks later on the Red Lake Reservation; her case also remains unsolved, with few publicly released details about what happened to her. Both women’s deaths remain open and unresolved, and their stories highlight the broader crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, as well as ongoing concerns about under-investigation, lack of accountability, and the struggle of Native families seeking justice.
Anyone with information about Ashlea’s death is encouraged to call the Omaha FBI field office at 402-493-8688

On April 7, 2021, a man showed up to a property in Rock Hill, South Carolina and took the lives of six people. Robert and Barbara Lesslie had been taking care of their grandchildren, Noah and Adah, when former NFL player Phillip Adams shot them to death. He also killed two HVAC workers on the property, James Lewis and Robert Shook. Adams’ actions have been attributed to the head trauma from his time playing football - and after his death, he was diagnosed with Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, commonly referred to as CTE, and it is believed this is what lead to his actions.

a little less of what you girls think thanks...just get on with it
idk why but at the end when u said Abby was 59 when she ended up missing....i was completely FLOORED. for some reason this entire time i was picturing her as a young girl between 25-30....(although i will admit i am at work and there ARE bits and pieces that i don't hear just because im moving around working) . i just recently started listening to this podcast and y'all are awesome 🙏🏼🩷🤍
Splitting the lot creates two new addresses which would have removed the address "the watcher" was supposedly watching, which may have been a factor in the proposal being made.
white tail deers are dimensions a dozen in Minnesota
😂 I get so tickled at female ran podcasts....it always sounds like that are talking out of their nose in a super calm fashion and I don't understand it....like it's nearly all of the female ran podcasts...it's not like it's just one or two of them ...but i mean i absolutely love the stories!!!!
another thing that's strange....why wasn't her card processing?? had that neighbor guy gotten ahold of one of her cards and withdrew all her money out of the count
I'm confused....why did he ask Donna Cliff to move in with her daughter?? and how would that make them closer to him and his son??? okay I'm so confused 🤔🤔
I'm only half way thru and I already hope this couple sued the shit out of the police and FBI
Ugh I had to skip this episode
Bring back original hosts
too much chatting before, gave up.
The anonymous host from Casefile is Australian, ladies. Lol.
I really tried to get into this podcast.. but Holy F*@$ the amount of times "like" is used is ridiculous. it's like nails on a chalkboard... like.. ugh
Please! If you r are going to do a podcast get the details correct. Learn how to pronounce names. You did not need to say you knew very little about the Salem Witch Trials; it was pretty evident. Sorry if this sounds harsh but Susannah North Martin is one of my family.
Vocal fry, every second word is „ like ” and this annoying upward intonation at the end of a sentence. ..
Danny Glover
I'm a Minnesotan, all my life, and we have no accent here. I love to listen to you guys' accents however, and the.....interesting... way you pronounce some words. Uff dah!
very nice podcast. A movie that is probably full of horror. Pretty excited to read the description https://webecomewhatwebehold.online
Love this episode, as a Canadian I can tell you that a) you pronounced Mississauga perfectly, b) Canada most definitely does not have its sh*t together, and c) Jack Astor's is a national chain, known for its really good burgers, and the waiter's uniforms which each have a snarky comment or joke printed on the back.
Hi ladies, just found the show and I'm really enjoying it. This episode was bananas but one thing that I'm interested in knowing is if Mary's mom had any known history of mental illness. Maybe you mentioned it and I missed it but anyway. Great show!
