A 2-minute guided breathing and grounding practice to reduce anxiety, calm your nervous system, and restore peace anytime you need it.Breathing practices have become a regular practice for me. They've helped me slow down chattering thoughts, feel less anxious, release anxiety out of my body, get my nervous system out of fight or flight, totally shift the energy that I'm feeling in my body. Seeking external validation, wanting others' approval & worrying about what other people are thinking about me have been huge parts of my journey.   As a recovering people pleaser && recovering self doubter this is something I've done a lot of healing around. In these moments, I notice that we tend to be hyper-focused on others and VERY in our heads. I created a super simple 3 step process you can literally use anytime.  No, I mean it.  It's a quick, simple, but super effective process to get you out of your head, back into the moment & in tune with YOU.  In tune with the woman you want to be, how you want to be showing up in that moment, living out your priorities, being present. Love, today's episode is a fiery one.  I'm currently going through my yoga teacher training program & a piece of this is reading The Yamas & Niyamas by Deborah Adele.  I'm obsessed.  There's a whole section on why being "nice" does not serve us, our relationships, or others... This is something I've explored deeply in my relationships. Releasing the sugar coating.  Releasing the timid, avoidant communication. All in effort to move toward being more true to myself, more expessive & open in my communication, and more authenticity in my relationships.  And it's freaking uncomfortable.  There's risk that comes with being honest. There's risk that comes along with not striving to be the "nice, accommodating girl." However, there's also SO much risk that comes in being the nice girl and not being honest, expressing yourself, expressing your needs, and being real and open with people.  Our minds tend to ignore this risk.   So in today's episode, I'm sharing with you 3 reasons why being NICE is not the biz and should not be what we're striving for.  I'll share with you what I've been practicing & striving for on my own journey of this as I burned my "nice girl masks."     I hope you enjoy & that this supports you along your journey. hello. I wonder what style of yoga you do. I'm from Iran, and recently, I got my general yoga instructors certification. but I doubt which style is good for me. I constantly feel I can't do yoga because I'm weak and frequently get cold and other diseases or cause I'm in my 30s. I'm not young enough. in iran, being a yoga teacher is a humble way of earning money. As a result, I just get by and am dependent on my parents. I really would like to hear your opinion. I feel I am a bad teacher...
