The scene has changed since the last time we talked. Oh boy, has the scene changed. The Phillies and Bo Bichette, with mutual interest, are at the table discussing terms. After a few weeks of seeming like the dust was settled on the offseason, the Phils have placed themselves squarely back in the center ring of the circus, and are after yet another star-level free agent. Will they do it again? Paul and Matt check in to discuss the possibilities, and the effects, of going for Bo.

New year, new episode...old catcher? The Phillies have shored up their bullpen depth, but there's still work to be done in the rotation and with that pesky backstop issue. When will it end? A look back at recent history could be informative. Paul and Matt dig in.

The Phillies made a surprise move Wednesday, reportedly agreeing to terms on a two-year deal with reliever Brad Keller. Keller immediately bolsters the bullpen's depth and provides much-needed RHP help, but are there more dominoes yet to fall from this move? Paul and Matt talk through that, plus a division rival's hiring of research and development lead Ani Kilambi.

The Phillies signed former Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia to a one-year deal this week, apparently firming up the 2026 outfield. It's another lower-risk addition hoping for a bounce back; will this one fare better than Max Kepler, Jordan Romano, and Joe Ross did in '25?

Kyle is back! For real. Paul and Matt check in one more time from the Winter Meetings to talk Schwarber's new 5-year, $150 million deal to keep mashing taters.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have made a four-year offer to Kyle Schwarber. Yup, that's a real and factual sentence. As the Winter Meetings kick off in Florida, Paul and Matt chat about Schwarber's market and expected decision timeline, the constraints (or lack thereof) the Phils have for payroll beyond Schwarber and J.T. Realmuto, and a quick health check.

With an offseason headlined early by outfield pursuits and reunions with key free agents, one area of the team may be going overlooked. Paul and Matt look at the state of the rotation, its lack of depth, and the kind of player (or players) the Phillies might look to bring it to help out.

The slowest part (probably) of the offseason is over, and now some moves will be made. Paul and Matt breeze through the last three weeks before looking ahead to a few important deadlines this week, trade interest in players on the Phillies' Major League roster, and walking the fine line of big-name trades.

Bryce Harper isn't getting traded this winter. That, plus the disconnect between the Phillies' clear needs and the market's lack of good options to fill said needs.

Paul and Matt look ahead to an offseason in need of something extra. The Phillies exited the playoffs in the NLDS again — albeit to a tremendous team this time — and now have questions up and down their roster. Although they know manager Rob Thomson will be back, just about anything else is still on the table. What's the next core? How much overhauling do you do in the outfield? How does this thing still look while revolving around Bryce Harper? Questions (and live reactions to the double play in the NLCS) abound.

There's still work to do, but after a thorough and convincing 8-2 in Game 3 at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday, the Phillies have a chance to send the Division Series back to Philadelphia. With Cris on the mound, the Phils hope to carry over some of Wednesday night's momentum into their latest must-win. Paul and Matt talk pitching strategies, Schwarbombs, the saving grace of that 8th inning, and the hope that Harrison Bader can play the outfield again this series.

ISO: Dingers, slug, pop, general run-scoring-ness. Ideally plays baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies. Must possess desire to overcome significant hurdles to achieve victory.
The Phils trail the NLDS, two games to none. Time for a hero.

That familiar feeling seems to be creeping across the fanbase: "Uh oh." The Phils dropped the first game of the Division Series to the Dodgers, and while Monday night isn't a literal must-win...it does feel pretty close to being one. We talk offense, the different styles between Ohtani and Snell, and trying to keep happiness alive.

The time has come. This weekend, the Phillies square off against the Dodgers in a Division Series filled with star power. From mitigating Shohei Ohtani to deploying Ranger Suárez to figuring out the outfield tango, Paul and Matt break down the matchup.

Red October is (nearly) upon us. The Phillies will face the winner of the Wild Card series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds. While we await game action and, eventually, an opponent, Paul and Matt sit down to look at this Phils run in franchise and divisional context, assess this team's place among the rest of the field, and make Wild Card round predictions.

A first-round bye: Officially clinched. Trea Turner: Nearing his return. Alec Bohm and Edmundo Sosa: Raking. Kyle Schwarber: Approaching the Big Piece. The lefties: ...Lefty-ing? Things are going well for the Phillies, and they'll use the final 4 games of the regular season as a tune-up for next weekend's Division Series.

West Coast road trips normally feel like lurking nightmares. This one...a little less so! The Phils kick off a three-game series against the Dodgers with a chance to solidify their spot as a National League bye-holder, then head to Arizona. With a playoff spot officially clinched, Paul and Matt take stock of the pitching depth chart and early roster spots for the outfield.

The Phillies returned the favor against the Mets, sweeping them out of Philadelphia in a four-game romp that chased away a couple demons. All that's left is to make it official as the Phillies head toward another NL East title. Paul and Matt ride the crest of the wave, set some goals for the final 15 games, and consider what (if anything) has meaningfully changed about our perception of this team.

With their division lead restored to seven games, the Phillies face the Mets once more. This time, the series is a four-gamer on home soil, as the Phils get another crack at cementing their standing atop the division. They will do so, though, without Trea Turner, who strained his hamstring during Sunday's game against the Marlins. How long he'll be out - as of our recording - is still a mystery, but the Phils must form a plan and forge ahead.
