On this episode of Find Your Dream Job, recruiter and HR professional Ashlie Journet explains why it’s important to track your wins and talk about your impact. Many people overlook their own wins, so their resumes don’t reflect the results they’ve delivered. Ashlie breaks down what employers look for, like evidence you saved time, cut costs, worked across teams, and solved problems. She suggests keeping a “brag book” to record achievements, feedback, and metrics so you’re ready to confidently show up in your applications and interviews. Tailor each resume, highlight your strongest wins up top, and ask hiring managers about their challenges so you can show how your results meet their needs. Listen now to learn how to share your wins and stand out. On this episode of Find Your Dream Job, career coach Kacie Bail explains how to turn an interview into a genuine conversation that builds trust and connection with your interviewer. She shares three practical steps: listen intently, identify conversation threads, and engage naturally with what your interviewer says. By focusing on curiosity and connection, you can show that you’re not only qualified but also someone they’ll enjoy working with. Kacie also offers simple ways to signal understanding, ask meaningful follow-up questions, and use nonverbal cues like nodding and smiling to build rapport. You’ll learn how to adapt these techniques for both casual and highly structured interviews — and why the goal isn’t perfection, but authenticity. The quality of the interview depends not only on your answers to the potential employer's questions, but also on your questions. Your interest in growing and developing in the company will always meet with a positive reaction from the employer. It is equally important to prepare a good resume. Employers, understanding the current realities of the labor market, are increasingly offering the opportunity to train and improve the qualifications of employees. On the other hand, it is not clear how to format a resume correctly if you have a criminal record. There is a good article on this topic here https://www.gotresumebuilder.com/faq/what-should-i-do-if-i-have-a-criminal-record

Writing a resume is not easy and here it is better to immediately contact professionals, rather than trying to write something yourself. Because it will be really hard to get the job of your dreams. Fortunately now there is a solution, if you just ask for help from https://resumeedge.com/resume-editing , they helped me a lot with editing these resumes, I think there won't be any problems if they help and do it. Then the dream job will quickly become a reality.

I have applied to the same type of position, my dream job, at three different universities, and every time the job has gone to an internal candidate. the job posting was just for show, I don't think they ever intended to interview anyone. now the same position has opened up at a fourth university, and I am afraid of putting in so much effort and getting my hopes up only to be disappointed again. I am wondering if it is ok to call the contact person before sending an application, to ask if they already have someone in mind, or would that send some bad signals?
