Today we sit down with Sarah Pinner, co-founder and former CEO of Beni, to learn more about the browser extension that scours the internet to find secondhand options for you. Prior to Beni, she played a key role in expanding Imperfect Foods, an online grocery company focused on fighting food waste. In this episode, Sarah digs into the intricacies of the secondhand market and how Beni targets the apprehensive secondhand shoppers - those who like the idea, but don’t necessarily love the experience of thrifting. Sarah also dispels the concept that ordering and returning new clothing is consequence-free and tells us where our returns actually end up.
Grab yourself a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage and settle in for a proper girl talk. In their first solo episode since the season intro, JG and Cailey dig into how to define your personal style - whether it be interiors or fashion. Cailey details how she helps her interior design clients leverage their wardrobes to find common themes and gives us a hack for getting outfit inspo. JG asks for Cailey's advice on feeling torn between two interior styles and speaks to the importance of a "buy list."

Join us in a conversation with Kat Dey, President of sustainable bedding company Ettitude. We dive into the environmental impact of the textile industry, and explore how Ettitude is reducing that impact through innovative production practices and their patented CleanBamboo® fabric. From bedding to apparel, their mission-driven approach has garnered recognition, including being named an Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private company in America and winning the prestigious Real Leaders 2022 Impact Awards alongside companies like Tesla and Patagonia.
Columbia University Circular Economy professor Diana Trushell decodes sustainability buzzwords so we can identify when brands are being authentic in their sustainability initiatives and when they are not. She teaches us which greenwashing terms to look out for, debunks the perceived sustainability of clothing rental subscription models, and sheds light on why the fossil fuel industry might be behind that sweater made from recycled plastic bottles.
