On an all new Reporting as Eligible, JR, Paul, and Special Guest/RAE question-asker extraordinaire Mark Podskarbi tackle the fallout from the Broncos game and immediately tear their ACLs in doing so. Have the guys calmed down? Is 2026 over too? Or does a lackluster field of competitive teams mean that hope is still alive, even this year? They also talk vacation destinations, middle names, meats, reasonable expectations, and of course, listener questions. (Also, you can check out Mark's pod here) Hosted on Acast. Well, the Green Bay Packers sure don't look like a Super Bowl contender any more after Micah Parsons is down to one intact ACL. The Packers lost Sunday's game in Denver 34-26, but they lost so much more when Parsons went down and added his name to the list of wounded on Green Bay's roster. Between Parsons, another bizarre Christian Watson injury, Zach Tom and Evan Williams getting banged up, and more, it was a brutal day for a Packers team that actually looked pretty good in the first half against the AFC's number one team.Tex and Justis break down why it's time to remove any more emotion from this team for the rest of this season, discuss how the college coaching carousel might affect Matt LaFleur, and talk through the issues facing this team in the offseason, because it's pretty rough to spend too much time talking about the game. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Nick and Alex discuss the Packers reclaiming the NFC North lead and anxiously await a game against the Broncos where Green Bay enters as road favorites. Potential Pain Scale + rising... Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On a new Reporting as Eligible, Paul, JR, and Tyler revel in Bear misery...but not enough Bear misery for Paul's taste, as much of Chicago is stoked by this loss. The boys point out why you shouldn't be happy about getting torched by Christian Watson and famous cornerback Bo Melton, why Josh Jacobs may have saved the season, the trouble with the late run defense, Keisean Nixon roasts, and Tom Brady not being able to tell the truth because of a big ol conflict of interest. And also he's bad at his job. Both of his jobs. The Green Bay Packers defeated the Chicago Bears 28-21 in Week 14, taking back possession of the lead in the NFC North with four weeks left in the season. Tex and Justis Mosqueda break down the game, with nods to Christian Watson and Josh Jacobs for big performances in a crucial divisional matchup. Also: Micah Parsons is still great, Caleb Williams still can't operate a normal drop-back passing game, and Kingsley Enagbare had a big day with a big stop. And what was Ben Johnson thinking calling that play on 4th down that led to Keisean Nixon's game-sealing pick? The world may never know. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Nick, Alex, and Zach reheat some Thanksgiving leftovers and talk about the ascending vibes surrounding the Packers after their turkey day defeat of the Detroit Lions. The guys then turn their attention to the (hopefully) out-over-their-skis Chicago Bears ahead of another division showdown. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On a new Reporting as Eligible, the guys discuss the Lions game, whether beating a compromised injury plagued team is really that good, and then they turn to the Bears where they cover whether beating the Eagles is really all that. There's McDuffie praise, talk of one-score games, DVOA, Ben Johnson and the roof-punching guy, Love as an MVP candidate, Jordan Morgan not playing, Devonte Wyatt, and of course, listener questions. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Green Bay Packers won on Thanksgiving for the third straight season, so Tex is breaking down their 31-24 victory over the Detroit Lions from Thursday. From Jordan Love getting another turkey leg to Dontayvion Wicks' career game to Micah Parsons doing Micah Parsons things, it was a fun game to watch, especially with Matt LaFleur calling an aggressive game. It's also time to really start looking at the playoff picture, especially with a big game against the Chicago Bears -- currently the NFC's number one seed, if you can believe it -- coming up next Sunday. So, with Jordan's shoulder all hurt and Emanuel Wilson going crazy on Minnesota, did Matt learn bad lessons? Or was this a just the smart plan against one of the worst quarterbacks of all time. And will the show be longer than the game was? Tune in and find out with Paul and Matt! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In tonight's episode of The Repack, Tex is joined by Tyler Brooke to discuss the Packers' oddly comfortable 23-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings. J.J. McCarthy was hilariously bad, Micah Parsons reached double-digit sacks, Emanuel Wilson hit the century mark, and Daniel Whelan continued his All-Pro campaign. Meanwhile, the Packers made a big change on the offensive line that looks like it might be a good move in the long term. All in all, it was the easiest, most relaxing Packers game in a while, so let's all enjoy discussing that before what's sure to be a crazy Thanksgiving Day game against the Lions. Go Pack Go! Nick gives a boots-on-the-ground report after seeing the Packer beat the Giants at a gusty MetLife Stadium before we turn our attention toward the Vikings and JJ McCarthy. And prop bets. Also that. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On a new Reporting as Eligible, the guys report on how this game grew on them, how Jordan Love was secretly very good to the extent that it was debatably the best game of his career, how Malik Willis is a very good backup, and how everyone need to learn to catch, and also return punts. They guys also take on Rashan Gary, Stone Temple Pilots, sideline urination, hard playing surfaces, wind, and several other hot topics of the day, including listener questions! Hosted on Acast. It's time for another episode of The Repack after the Green Bay Packers' 27-20 win over the New York Giants. Justis joins Tex to discuss the game, where they talk about the horrible case of the drops that hit this team, costing them a much more convincing victory. Between 6 or 7 drops on offense and four dropped interceptions on defense, this team needs to figure out the fundamentals, and that might just come down to going cheap on the coaching staff. Also, Christian Watson was awesome (aside from his one drop), Daniel Whelan should be an All-Pro, and Savion Williams may have saved the Packers' season. But Emanuel Wilson? Let's not heap praise on someone who is just another guy. Still, it's a win, and there are some positive things to build on in the passing game, even if the run game didn't live up to expectations against a terrible run defense. Go Pack Go! Hosted on Acast. Paul had some bourbon and his voice was giving out. But he made it! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Zach, Alex, and Nick gather for a cathartic complain-a-thon including haikus, screeds, and soap boxes. Can LaFleur get his Packers cleaned up and ready to beat the New York Giants? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On a post-loss, record-setting Reporting as Eligible, the guys discuss the future of Matt LaFleur, what the Packers should have done, kicking, injuries, how Jordan messed up fourth down, procedure penalties, Jeff Hafley's defense, and just a ton of listener questions. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Has the NFL already passed Matt LaFleur by? On this week's episode of the Repack, Tex is joined by Paul Noonan and, later, Justis Mosqueda to discuss an abysmal offensive performance by the Green Bay Packers in their 10-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Why won't LaFleur adjust his offensive philosophy? Does he even understand when his unit is actually efficient? And why in the hell does this team insist on keeping two kickers on the roster but playing the one who's hurt? It's a bad sign when your season evokes memories of the 2015 and 2018 Mike McCarthy teams, but here we are. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Zach and Nick are joined by special guest Justis Mosqueda to try to find something—anything—positive to say after a disastrous week for the Green Bay Packers. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On a brand spanking new Reporting as Eligible, Paul and JR discuss the abominable loss to Carolina, and just how much heat Matt LaFleur should take when there was quite a lot of other things that went wrong out of his control. Managers do not control injuries and wind. But they do control bubble screens and when to go for it on 4th and 8, and so the boys still let him have it a bit. What's life like after Kraft? Nate Hobbs is hurt again. The pass rush was non-existent, and Rico Dowdle thrust his way to victory. Is there still a contender buried in there? Plus, listener questions! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Packers made Tex and Justis mad as hell, and now you're all going to hear about it. Green Bay lost to the Carolina Panthers 16-13 on Sunday at Lambeau Field in a game when the offense had no answers, lost Tucker Kraft (probably for the year), and the defense couldn't get even a tiny bit of pressure on Bryce Young despite the Panthers playing several backup offensive linemen. That means tonight's Repack is a bit of a cathartic journey, exploring Matt LaFleur's shortcomings, chaos in the college football coaching ranks, and how and when the Packers should try to move on from kicker Brandon McManus. Hopefully this will be as much of an emotional release for you, the listener, as it was for Justis and Tex. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
