The Minnesota Wild dropped their first game of a 3 game East Coast road trip as they fell 6-3 to the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday in Tampa. The Wild led 2-0 on goals from Mats Zuccarello and Brock Faber, and after the Lightning cut the lead in half, Vladimir Tarasenko made it 3-1 with his 21st goal of the season. But the Lightning took advantage of a rough end of the game for Filip Gustavsson as they scored 5 straight goals to secure the win. Gustavsson bobbled a puck with time winding down in the 3rd to give the Lightning a 4-3 lead. The Wild Penalty Kill surrendered 3 Power Play goals, and the Wild Power Play went 2/4 on the day. The Minnesota hockey community mourns the loss of NHL.com reporter Jessi Pierce, who passed away in a house fire on Saturday that also took the lives of her 3 children and family dog. Jessi was a vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic part of Minnesota Wild media, but beyond that she was an incredible mom, a great friend and an even better person. The Minnesota Wild picked up a 2-1 Overtime win over the Dallas Stars as they honored Jared Spurgeon for eclipsing the 1,000 career games played mark at Grand Casino Arena. Bobby Brink and Vladimir Tarasenko scored for the Wild to back Filip Gustavsson, who stopped 28 of 29 shots. The Wild Penalty Kill went 4/5, including a double minor late in the 3rd period with the game tied at 1. Tarasenko scored his 20th goal of the season in Overtime to give the Wild their 40th win of the year. The Wild will be at Tampa Bay on Tuesday for their next game. The Minnesota Wild fell at Grand Casino Arena 3-2 in a shootout to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night. The Minnesota Wild picked up their 38th win of the season as they beat the Utah Mammoth 5-0 at Grand Casino Arena Tuesday night. The Minnesota Wild snapped a 2 game losing streak by beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-1 at Grand Casino Arena Tuesday night. The Wild improved to 36-16-10, and took an early 2-0 lead on goals for Brock Faber and Mats Zuccarello. After the Lightning cut the score to 2-1, Yakov Trenin scored on a miscue by Andrei Vasilevskiy to make it 3-1. The Wild added 2 more goals in the 3rd, on an outrageous goal by Quinn Hughes and Kirill Kaprizov added an empty net goal to seal the win. The goal for Kaprizov was his 220th of his career, which moved him past Marian Gaborik for sole possession of the all time lead in Minnesota Wild history. Filip Gustavsson stopped 24 of 25 shots for the Wild, who went 1/5 on the Power Play, but held the potent Lightning Power Play of the board in 3 attempts. The Minnesota Wild dropped their 2nd straight game as they lost to the St. Louis Blues 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Grand Casino Arena. The Wild managed one Power Play goal, but could not generate anything else against Joel Hofer, who stopped 22 of 23 shots in net for the Blues. Filip Gustavsson stopped 22 of 24 shots in net for the Wild, and lost in regulation for the first time at home since October 30th. Kirill Kaprizov's goal tied him with Marian Gaborik for most goals in franchise history with 219.
