The New York Jets walked into Baltimore as massive road underdogs, and they had chances to pull off an upset. Instead, it was a 23-10 loss. Tyrod Taylor led the Jets offense today, and had them out in front heading into the locker room at halftime. The second half was a much different story. Defensively, the Jets couldn't keep up their play from the first half. Late in the 4th quarter, with a chance to cut the lead to as little as 3, the Jets were driving but a Breece Hall fumble inside the five ended that drive and any chances for the Jets to get back in the game. The defense allowed touchdowns on each of the Patriots first two drives, but they settled in and gave the Jets offense chances to make this a game, but that wasn't in the cards. Justin Fields and the offense struggled to find any consistency and it was a rough Jets debut for Adonai Mitchell, who actually led the team in targets but had a number of drops. And after tonight, the Jets may turn the offense over to Tyrod Taylor to see if they can get that unit going. They now get the mini-bye before traveling to Baltimore to take on the Ravens.
