Christopher Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast. The Pittsburgh Steelers' free agent targets should include at least one veteran wide receiver. But should that be a more expensive playmaker like Romeo Doubs? Or a cheaper veteran? Christopher Carter explains why he sees the team not trying to make a big splash in free agency at receiver and saving the big move there for the NFL Draft and the strong receiver draft class. But there are other free agents Chris sees as good targets, like Bills guard David Edwards, as well as keeping key veterans on the team like Kenneth Gainwell and James Pierre. Also, how do the Steelers compete with the Ravens after their trade to get Maxx Crosby? Simple; by continuing their rebuild and not trying to match them. The Ravens are desperate to capitalize on Lamar Jackson's Super Bowl window and are getting aggressive. But the Steelers are still trying to build up their own Super Bowl window and an aggressive play right now might blow that opportunity away before it even begins.
