Description

Welcome to Cooking with Teens, the podcast bringing warmth and joy to family life by transforming kitchen time into an opportunity for parents and teens to truly connect. Because getting real conversation flowing with your phone-obsessed teen can often feel impossible, am I right? Remember when your kids couldn't wait to share their day over dinner? We're reigniting that spark!

I'm a parent, just like you, navigating the shifting dynamics of a family with teenagers. But I've discovered a secret ingredient to maintaining a close bond with my teens: cooking together. Amidst the chaos of packed schedules and endless distractions, cooking together allows us to rediscover the simple joy of family time.

I know, I know, your teens think anything you suggest is lame. But trust me, even the broodiest among them can get sucked into making some brownies, pizza from scratch, or pasta carbonara. The kitchen is where the magic happens.

I'll share my own experiences navigating the hilariously chaotic world of cooking with teens, along with tips for getting even the moodiest kid invested in meal-making. You'll quickly see how that quality time chopping veggies translates to your child feeling comfortable opening up about what's really going on in their world.

This podcast isn't about turning your kids into Michelin-starred chefs. It's about cracking jokes, creating shared moments, and simply hanging out together. Picture your kitchen filled with the sizzle of pans, the banter back-and-forth and conversations that actually flow, that's the vibe we're going for.

Here's what you can expect:

Practical tips and recipes: We'll explore fun and easy-to-follow recipes suitable for cooks of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned chefs.

Teen Takeovers: My own teenagers will join the conversation, sharing their perspectives, favorite recipes, and tips for navigating the kitchen with parents.

Open conversations: We'll delve into the joys and challenges of raising teenagers, addressing common concerns and offering practical solutions for navigating the ever-changing dynamics of family life.
