News: It is that time of year again when prices go up at the Disneyland Resort. This time, the lowest price, one park, one day ticket has stayed the same, but the highest level one park, one day ticket has increased from $206 to $224. Overall, tickets increased from $3 to $18. Magic Key Holders also saw increases. The Imagine Key went up $150, with the Believe Key going up $100. Parking went up $5 to $40, with preferred parking now at $60. Disney has notified employee unions that overall staffing hours are being reduced, which may result in the parks closing 1-2 hours earlier on some nights. Upstairs, the new Carnaby Tavern was announced, but has now been rebranded as “Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby.” Gordon Ramsay is a Michelin-Starred chef who will elevate the British-themed gastropub. Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail will feature special Disney character-themed ornaments hanging from trees throughout Downtown Disney. Guests pick up a map and stickers for $11.99 at select merchandise locations, and then search for the ornaments. Once an ornament is spotted, place the corresponding sticker on the map. Once all the ornaments have been found, return your map to a redemption location for a holiday keepsake. News: There has been a lot of speculation on what is happening with Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland since it’s refurbishment started. We finally have at least part of an answer! Between the patchwork section and Mr.Toad’s section a new Rapunzel tower will rise, with wanted posters for Flynn Rider and a secluded dock with a boat inspired by the film. A casting call has gone out for seven improv actors, vocalists, movers, and dancers for a new production. They are also looking for band members to accompany the show. He is back, but this time he is ready to party. Partysaurus Rex, which is Rex in his party outfit of a viking hat, with red lochs hanging out, and a few necklaces with colorful beads and a peace sign. There is a new “Avengers Assemble” moment in Avengers Campus where a few Avengers come out together, are introduced by the F.R.I.D.A.Y. voice over the PA, pose for a group photo in front of the Avengers’ jeep, then break up to meet with guests for photos in the area. This time, he was working the Haunted Mansion. This took place before the Holiday overlay was installed, as he can be seen talking to the caretaker, dancing with the ballroom ghosts, and much more! You might remember that Josh previously worked on the Jungle Cruise as a skipper, was a conductor on the Disneyland Railroad, and worked the Kilimanjaro Safari at Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. First, the Disneyland Hotel security gates near the old ESPN Zone building are still closed, but the new gates are installed and should be open soon. The walls should start to enclose the structure soon. News: Just a few days ago, two cast members were selected for a very important role at the Disneyland Resort. Michele Mary and Oralia Neria Felix will represent thousands of cast members as the 2026-2027 Disneyland Ambassador Team. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Ambassador program, which was started by Walt Disney himself for the 10th anniversary of Disneyland. Since the start, nearly 250 cast members have been part of Ambassador teams all around the world. The package includes a creamy potato leek soup, herb-roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, buttered haricots verts served with a caramelized onion sauce, a holiday yule log, and a fountain drink. Disneyland has agreed to pay $233 million dollars to settle a 2019 class-action lawsuit that alleged Disney was not adjusting wages to match the higher requirements that Anaheim had passed. The Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln show will be largely the same, except for the setting. Lincoln now sits in a space similar to the Oval Office, flanked by US and State of Illinois flags. The security checkpoint between the Disneyland Hotel and the shopping district is under construction to add a new, permanent gate. Theme parks dominate the results, with 6 Disney locations in the top 20 worldwide. Disneyland ranks #5 globally, but #1 in the US, followed by the Las Vegas Strip, and the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC. Some reasons for theme parks to rank so highly include a combination of massive crowds, long wait times, and high expectations. As The Little Mermaid float made its way towards the hub from it’s a small world, had a power issue and stopped on the route. As it was being towed backstage through the hub, a complication with the brakes led to visible smoke coming from the vehicle. Guests and performers were moved away from the area and the Disneyland Fire Department took care of it. A member on the Anaheim City Council proposed exploring an entertainment tax. Currently, the city only gets tax revenue from hotel stays, but not from park or event tickets and parking. The ticket deal requires a PIN to purchase, which is included in the email. This email is not being sent to everyone, just a group of addresses. News: Guests who were at Disneyland on the 4th of July were able to celebrate more than the birthday of the United States. Crowds were way down. This was likely due to most Magic Keys being blocked out and the price for the 1 park/1 day ticket was $200. No festive decorations were installed this year, due to the 70th, and the 4th fireworks show wasn’t heavily publicized. Over in Disney California Adventure, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, Mater’s Junkyard JamBOOree, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark are returning. Mickey’s Trick and Treat is coming to the Disney Theater for the fall, replacing Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! Paint the Night, World of Color – Happiness, and Tapestry of Happiness will continue to run throughout the season. Don Hahn and Christopher Merrit will be on hand to sign The Happiest Place on Earth: The Incredible Story of Walt Disney’s Disneyland, Martha Blanding and Tim O’Day for Groundbreaking Magic: A Black Woman’s Journey Through the Happiest Place on Earth, Matthew Reinhart for Disneyland Park (a Pop-Up Park Tour), and finally Bob Weis with Dream Chasing: My Four Decades of Success and Failure with Walt Disney Imagineering. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room has a reopening date of July 3rd! Walls are back up in this area to install more of these lamp posts. The last point in Tomorrowland, themed to Autopia is finally online. News: A Disneyland icon is retiring after 55 years with the Walt Disney Company. Kim Irvine will be passing the torch to the next generation of Imagineers to guide Disneyland. Over her time with the company, Kim worked on the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Project Stardust, and more recently, the refurbishment of the Jungle Cruise and the Adventureland Treehouse. – https://www.micechat.com/417008-disneyland-news-kim-irvine-exits-coco-avatar-expand-construction-update/ Last Thursday, Disneyland President Thomas Mazloum gave a State of the Resort presentation and unveiled some major upcoming changes. The first of these was concept art for a new entrance experience for guests on the Harbor side of the resort. This includes a new Transportation Hub, and major esplanade changes. A new guest bridge will take guests from a new parking structure behind the hotels on Harbor Boulevard to the entrance to the parks. There will still be a security checkpoint on Harbor for guests staying at those hotels. The transportation hub will move from between the parks to the new parking area, along with a security checkpoint. Construction on a new 6,000 space parking structure, rideshare and shuttle zones, and everything else is set to begin in fall of 2026. – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/future-expansion-plans-for-disneyland-resort/ Two other projects at Disney California Adventure got some more firm details. The “Avatar Experience” will displace Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sully to the Rescue!, which will close in early 2026. No further details on the experience, construction timeline, or anything else for this area was announced. The “Coco”-themed attraction did get some more details! The attraction will be located near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, in a current backstage area. Celebrate Soulfully runs now through the end of June. It appears that Tangaroa has been installed and other Tiki Gods are also being refreshed. Inside of Carthay Circle Restaurant, there is a new “Celebrating 70 Years of Disneyland Resort with the Walt Disney Archives” exhibit. It features a ticket book, a Sam the Eagle top hat from America Sings, a Disneyland survey marker, and more. Well, they were just a little late for the start of the celebration! The toppers to the banners on the drawbridge have been installed. The fountains in the moat in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle appear to have been removed.
