Kerry Never Saw That

It's National Women's Month, and we love the ladies here at KNST! In celebration, we are doing a couple of movies about some bada$$ ladies, starting with Spielberg's 1985 classic adaptation of Alice Walker's The Color Purple. Despite the subject matter, we still manage to crack a few jokes and tell some stories, including when Honeybeard met Danny Glover, Kerry (not) spitting in someone's drink, and when "bless your heart" is actually sincere. It's February, so it's time for Cupids, chocolates, and chalky heart-shaped candies. It's also a new theme, and this month it's Mount Crushmore, as Kerry and Honeybeard spotlight a couple of their respective pre-pubescent crushes. First up is Honeybeard's pick, Deadly Friend starring his number #1 girl when he was 12 years old, Kristy Swanson. Happy holidays! We decided to take a peek at a more recent holiday classic (?) with the Rock tour-de-force Red One. Listen in as Kerry drools over a jacked up JK Simmons, berates Honeybeard over the difference between a sleigh and a sled, and debate the merits of Hot Wheels vs Matchbox. Want to know what Ace Ventura 2 has to do with zombies? So does Honeybeard, as Kerry disassociates due to the trauma from this movie. Hear Kerry bemoan the fact that zombies don't have lips (though they do have prehensile vertebrae tails on occasion) as Honeybeard tries in vain to win her over to the side of the undead. Surprise! It's been a minute since we looked at a sitcom, so we sat down to feast on some Thanksgiving episodes. First up we have "Harry and The Madam" from Season 2 of Night Court. Honeybeard LOVES Night Court...Kerry, not so sure after hearing what Mac might do with that turkey. Then we zoom into the 90s for a season 6 episode of Friends ("The One Where Ross Got High") that also happens to be the first, yes you heard that right, first episode of Friends we have ever watched...like ever. Wait, I thought we said we weren't doing horror movies for October! Well, we might have fibbed because Oztober is kicking off with a straight up monster-filled fever dream. Tune in as Kerry gets her first taste of the Wheelers, Honeybeard recounts being traumatized by Mombi, and they both question their sanity after viewing this. So come, step through the goatse door (you'll have to listen to get that one) and enter the Hall of Head as we Return to Oz!

With the Alien Earth series wrapping up recently, we decided to release one from the archives! We recorded this one a while back just because we felt like it and now seems like just as good a time as any to let it out! Join us as we discuss emergency room stripper stories, whether the Killer Klowns are a subspecies of Xenomorph, and try to find out what that mouth-mouth do.
