When was the last time you treated yourself? When was the last time you spend time alone? When was the last time you dated yourself? In this episode, I talk about what it’s like dating yourself and why it’s an important factor in self care, self development and loving yourself.
In this episode, I talk about knowing your worth and valuing yourself. I share my thoughts and opinions on how we are so worthy of love and so much more. I share a little bit of my experience feeling insecure and how I healed from that and now I express how worthy I am. We are all beautiful in our own way and we are all so deserving of so much more than the bare minimum. We have more strengths than weaknesses, there’s more beauty in us than flaws, and we are so much more worthy than we think.
In this episode I talk about feeling guilty to rest. It’s common that in our culture, we were taught to overwork ourselves but we’re never shown the importance of resting. It’s a cycle that takes back from the older generation (our grandparents and parents). We tend to feel guilty when we aren’t being as productive as we think we should be 24/7 because our family before us were taught to always stay busy and in result they weren’t taught self care or having rest days.
In this episode I talk about breaking cycles. Breaking repeated cycles can look different for everyone, it can be ending a series of bad events, unhealthy behavioral patterns, or thoughts. I explain my own unhealthy behavioral patterns and thoughts, and I share my opinions on how to break cycles. I also talk about how we pick up on unhealthy cycles at a young age from our own home/family dynamics especially in latino families.
In this episode, I talk about the dating experience in your 20s. I also talk about my opinion on how our 20s are meant for ourselves. We tend to worry about the future and often feel like we must be in a certain place in our lives by the age of 30. However, our 20s are really meant for just living life on your own terms, your 20s are meant for you and to build for your 30s. I share some of my bad and good dating/relationship experiences, and what I learned from my past relationships.
In this episode, I talk about the reality of feeling not latina enough. As first gen latinas living in the USA, we tend to be viewed as either too white and not latina enough. We tend to feel like we have to prove that we are latina or Mexican enough by sticking to traditional behaviors/ways, even if those traditions don’t align with our authentic selves.
In this episode, I talk about toxic environments in Latino households. I share a bit of my own experiences I went through in my households, what toxic behaviors look like and how to overcome and heal from it.

In this episode, I talk about how my life has slowed down a lot recently. In these moments of silence, you find peace. I also acknowledge the fact that our parents, grandparents, and so on… did not have opportunities to slow down and be at peace. It is very common in the latino community that we must overwork ourselves to the point that we are burnt out. I talk about how we should be grateful to have more time off and opportunities to be in peace.
In this episode I talk about the relationship with yourself, what it means to truly be alone, taking time for yourself, doing things on your own, and facing any fears that may come from doing so. I also talk about some of my experiences and my thoughts on getting out of your comfort zone.

What's something you've done that you can be proud of?
For my very first episode, I talk about my personal experiences on some things I've done for myself that I can say I am proud of and how we all deserve to give ourselves props for getting ourselves to where we are today. I also introduce myself and share a bit of my background story.
