Description

Red Light Exposé is an international grassroots survivor-led circle seeking to combat “sex work” ideology. We aim to raise awareness of the harms of commercializing sex, and the industries (prostitution, porn, stripping, BDSM/kink) that exploit socioeconomically marginalized people, particularly women and girls.

We support the adoption of Equality Model legislation worldwide while calling for an improvement in social security. Through honest, in-depth conversations we aim to elevate voices that are often ignored and silenced, moving us toward healthier and safer societies for all people.

Elly Arrow speaks with Caitlin Roper about “nudify” apps, AI girlfriends, and the new culture of men and boys’ digitally facilitated sexual terror against potentially anyone female, from school girls to ex-girlfriends to feminist campaigners. They go into how these practices compare to what men have been doing to so-called “sex dolls” in the shape of women and girls for years, and the targeted deepfake campaign Caitlin’s feminist group Collective Shout went through at the hands of misogynistic gamers upset over the pulling of rape simulators from major gaming platforms.LinksCollective Shout: https://www.collectiveshout.org/ "Turning Women & Girls Into Porn: An Analysis of 20 Nudifying, Deepfake and Virtual Girlfriend Apps": https://assets.nationbuilder.com/collectiveshout/pages/17246/attachments/original/1765173209/Turning_Women___Girls_Into_Porn_-_A_Collective_Shout_Report.pdf?1765173209Caitlin Roper’s link tree (including link to her book “Sex Dolls, Robots and Woman Hating: The Case for Resistance”): https://lnk.bio/RlgI Follow us:Facebook: @RedLightExposéInstagram: @RLE.podcastTikTok: @redlightexposeTwitter: @RedLightExposeYouTube: @RedLightExposeDisclaimer:All the information provided through Red Light Exposé is published in good faith and solely for general information and educational purposes. In this livestream, Merly Åsbogård, Sybil Jo, and Elly Arrow discuss societal hypocrisy around the sexual abuse and trafficking of children, especially girls: The hypothetical child abuser is despised, but the real ones in our midst - famous or less so - are ignored if not enabled, including by our pop culture, fashion, and general treatment of girls and women.
In this episode, Andrea Heinz and Elly Arrow are in conversation with Xiangyu from Taiwan about his country’s history of military brothels under the Kuomintang Nationalist Army. They go into details about the reality for women, the men and organizations exploiting them and the underlying ideological justifications, which remain the same across time and continents.A longer version of this episode including more in-depth discussion of modern-day prostitution policy and sex work ideology originally aired on Xiangyu’s podcast Strait Talk.LinksXiangyu’s Twitter: https://x.com/notXiangyuStrait Talk: https://www.youtube.com/@StraitTalkXYFollow us:Facebook: @RedLightExposéInstagram: @RLE.podcastTikTok: @redlightexposeTwitter: @RedLightExposeYouTube: @RedLightExposeDisclaimer:All the information provided through Red Light Exposé is published in good faith and solely for general information and educational purposes. In today's livestream, Elly Arrow discusses why so-called "high-class" prostitution is not so different in terms of risks to women's well-being as other forms of sexual exploitation. She goes into some of the psychology of the "expensive" buyer and how women in the sector have fared at the hands of such men. This also reckons with victim-blamers who label traumatized "high-class" women as "professional failures" and abolitionists who frequently label them "patriarchal collaborators" and "traitors".Elly Arrow's essay: https://ellyarrow.wordpress.com/2020/09/05/the-myth-of-the-safe-and-privileged-high-class-hooker/Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is arrested and charged: https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c70kjr9wjw0t#player
In this livestream Sybil Jo and Elly Arrow discuss why suppression and disregard for female pleasure props up sexual exploitation, be that in conservative marriage ("maintenance sex", "wife duty") or prostitution. If women only ever experience sexuality as extractive, dissociative, and "for men," it's harder to recognize abuse of all kinds when it happens. Our episode about pro-woman erotica: "Can There Be Healthy Erotica Despite Porn Culture?" with Clementine LipsJenni Gage "Life, Take Two!" Elly Arrow interviews veteran anti-trafficking activist and psychologist Iana Matei about the systematic exploitation of Romanian women and girls across Europe. Matei explains how trafficking networks operate, why they consistently target vulnerable girls, and how government inaction allows these systems to continue largely unchecked. She describes the rescue homes she has built for survivors and the long, difficult process of helping girls recover from trauma and rebuild their lives. The conversation also confronts the urgent need for legislative reform and deep cultural change to prevent future generations of girls and young women from being drawn into sexual exploitation.LinksReaching Out Romania: https://www.facebook.com/reachingoutromania/ Donating to Reaching Out Romania is possible via:Bank name: BRD Groupe Societe General Acc.Name: Asociatia Reaching OutIBAN: ro51brde030sv73149450300Acc. Elly Arrow talks to Esther, Policy Advisor at Nordic Model Now and survivor of exploitation in prostitution and pornography, about the modern sex industry's downward spiral of ever more extreme acts for ever lower prices. They discuss why the industry doesn't allow for genuine female autonomy or safety and how male demands for degradation and violence are both cause and consequence of the sex industry. They touch on OnlyFans, BDSM, snuff films, human trafficking, and Esther's own experience of narrowly surviving commercial sexual exploitation.LinksNordic Model Now: https://nordicmodelnow.org/Esther’s NMN pieces: https://nordicmodelnow.org/tag/esther/FiLiA: https://www.filia.org.uk/CAP International: https://www.cap-international.org/en/A Model for Scotland: https://www.amodelforscotland.org/Persons Against Non-State Torture: https://nonstatetorture.org/Prostitution-context femicide: https://ellyarrow.wordpress.com/2021/03/29/who-is-killing-whom-where-how-and-why-in-german-prostitution/How Prostitution Safety Systems Fail Women (Episode 5)Follow us:Facebook: @RedLightExposéInstagram: @RLE.podcastTikTok: @redlightexposeTwitter: @RedLightExposeYouTube: @RedLightExposeDisclaimer:All the information provided through Red Light Exposé is published in good faith and solely for general information and educational purposes. Partners and families of sex buyers are often the unseen victims of commercial sexual exploitation. In this episode, Andrea Heinz reads her renowned peer-reviewed paper “A Mule for the Patriarchy: Waking Up to the Harm of Prostitution to Wives and Families,” sharing powerful insights on how women in the sex industry come to understand the betrayal trauma and financial abuse faced by buyers’ partners. Sabrinna joins the conversation to talk about her own efforts to warn partners about infidelity and to unpack the historical narratives that have justified prostitution while dividing women into “private” and “public property.”LinksAndrea Heinz’s paper “A Mule for the Patriarchy: Waking Up to the Harm of Prostitution to Wives and Families”: https://digitalcommons.uri.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1234&context=dignityIngeborg Kraus’ on “shadow women”: https://www.trauma-and-prostitution.eu/en/2018/10/19/shadow-women/ Follow us:Facebook: @RedLightExposéInstagram: @RLE.podcastTikTok: @redlightexposeTwitter: @RedLightExposeYouTube: @RedLightExposeDisclaimer:All the information provided through Red Light Exposé is published in good faith and solely for general information and educational purposes. Host Elly Arrow interviews Michelle Kelly on surviving domestic violence and trafficking into prostitution, her experience of women’s shelters, exploitation in the camming industry, and fighting her way out through becoming a professional writer. They touch on negative community reactions, the lack of alternatives to reporting abusers to police, as well as the blind spot among many feminists when it comes to the need to safeguard women against forced abortions. Centrally, they analyze how placating the sex buyer closely mirrors managing the volatility of the domestic abuser.Links“Eyes Wide Open” by Michelle Kelly: https://www.amazon.de/Eyes-Wide-English-Michelle-Kelly-ebook/dp/B00WKMLCE4Michelle Kelly on Twitter: https://x.com/MichKelly8Michelle Kelly’s writing about prostitution for NordicModelNow: https://nordicmodelnow.org/testimonial/michelle-kelly/Follow us:Facebook: @RedLightExposéInstagram: @RLE.podcastTikTok: @redlightexposeTwitter: @RedLightExposeYouTube: @RedLightExposeDisclaimer:All the information provided through Red Light Exposé is published in good faith and solely for general information and educational purposes. In episode seven of our #MenForEquality series, Savannah Severn interviews Patrick Erlandson, the founder of FatherCon, an organisation that aims to get fathers involved in the fight against human trafficking. They discuss how fathers serve as role models to sons on how to treat women, while fathers' relationships with daughters can set the stage for how she expects to be treated by men. They get real about how trafficking is often intra-community, with victims, perpetrators, but also those who can make a difference, being all local.
