Today I speak with Valerie Fuqua, who is an AuDHD artist and author.
She has fought through her whole life to learn how to expand her world, rather than allowing it to collapse in on her, as autism can sometimes do.
After realising treating symptoms is not a solution to the difficulty life creates for people on the spectrum, she discovered a new solution.
She has found that working through her fears and learning to embrace the world around her has allowed her to live in this world better and even start understanding it.
She's also a telepath and has been able to truly get to know NTs and how they think and why they are so different from NDs. She seeks to eventually bring this knowledge to others so more people can learn to live well and get along, on both sides of the spectrum.
Valerie and I hope you enjoy the episode today.

Hello and Welcome to Season 13, Episode 4 of the TTHLC Podcast for ADHD and AuDHD.
Today I speak with Shell Mendelson from San Antonio, Texas.
Trained by Richard Bolles, author of What Color Is Your Parachute?, with a Masters in Vocational/Career Counseling, Shell has more than 35 years of experience and education in the field of career counseling and coaching.
Shell also brings coaching, teaching, training and nurturing gifts to ADHD adults that focuses on illuminating, creating and transforming lack of clarity to a well-defined direction and sustainable work life.
She recently launched the quintessential course book (A COURSE FOR ADHD ADULTS AND TEENS: UNLOCK YOUR CAREER PATH) that breaks down and simplifies the career decision-making process for the Neurodiverse community. Some have described her book as the most ADHD-friendly book on the market. After her own diagnosis of ADHD later in life, she profoundly understands how ADHD can impact our work experience and delay creating real work or career options that are meant just for us. CLEAR, FOCUSED, REAL options!Shell has walked in the shoes of her own clients and helped hundreds of them gain the confidence needed to make a real shift from “too many ideas” to clarity about the next steps. The cream always rises to the top with the right process. Unlock Your Career Path is that process. Shell wants you to love the work you do, feel productive and confident knowing you are on the right path, with or without ADHD.
With all the information available and the “do what you love for a living” concept or idea being the standard, come all the feelings and negative consequences of not understanding how to make significant career change and/or identify a sustainable career path that fits this model. It can be confusing and overwhelming at best. Her work is to fill that gap.

Hello and Welcome to Season 12, Episode 6 of the Solo Series of the TTHLC PODCAST
Today I talk about Time Blindness with ADHD which is a very heavy emotion and state of being that many of us can understand.
I bring up the sense of urgency, using intuition, how having no internet connection from 1&1 for a whole week including no use of s telephone for calls reduces our life experience, people wasting their life and moaning about it, not seeing the past, living constantly in the present (but rather the NOW) and only being able to see 7 days of my future in front of me and the darkness that I sense beyond it.
I hope you enjoy the episode.

Hello and welcome to Season 12, Episode 3 of the Solo series of the TTHLC Podcast
Buena Vista Social Club
Today is a nostalgic episode of ADHD.
A bit part of my upbringing was being around „Big Bands“, hearing trumpets being played, when I spent time with my grandparents and their very musical friends who would do live performances .Unfortunately, I was too young to actually attend any of the big band sessions but the weekends of the musicans together really bought out their love for their instruments and producing music.
I then explain how, I have totally missed out of epic videos like „Buena Vista Social Club“ and am catching up on all them now, at the age of 47… We say late diagnosis Autism and/or ADHD but we comet late to the party on many areas in life.
When I spoke to Kara Laws on the podcast we both share our ADHD experiences of just missing out on culture.
Just recently, I thought „POP“ culture had something to do with Michael Jackson, instead of what it means today - „POPular culture“.
The penny just doesn’t drop with us for such a long time, it at ALL :)
So, I hope you enjoy the episode today.
Please don’t forget to like, follow and leave any questions and opinions you have on Spotify and I will do my best to answer you straight away.
Thanking you in joining me today.

Hello and Welcome to Season 12, Episode 2 of the Solo series of the TTHLC Podcast
The topic today is Meditation and why it is important to incorporate meditation into your life with ADHD and AuDHD.
My first experience with meditation ended up with my experiencing 3 hours of meditation, sitting on a Yoga mat and after speaking with experts and doctors on this experience, including Jennifer on the Podcast it seems I has between 5 and 8 years of healing.
In the very first season of The Thirteen Hour Life Coach Podcast I cover „Morning Meditation“ and „Evening Meditation“, so try and catch this episode for more of a detailed example as to why meditation is very healthy for us.
This episode is an update after having meditated now every day for 5 years, and my ordainment as a Buddhist, this is topic I love to talk about and many of you listening can benefit from this practice.
I am also laughing my own meditations for ADHD, AuDHD and Brain Tumor. Please find the link to „Sun Ray Meditation“ here.
I hope you enjoy the episode today.
Please don’t forget to like, follow and leave any questions and opinions you have on Spotify and I will do my best to answer you straight away.
Thanking you in joining me today.

Hello and Welcome to Season 11, episode 8 of TTHLC Podcast discussing ADHD, Autism and AuDHD.
Today I speak with Fran, better known as "Headnooks" who received a late diagnosis of ADHD at the age of 38.
He talks about his sobriety, and we bring out a really good episode talking about ADHD and Men, including the Diagnosis Phase for ADHD and the differences and inclusion of the medicated route and non-medicated route for those who have a new diagnosis.
Fran speaks about how men are less likely to reach out for help and how we feel that a lot of things are on our shoulders, but we both agreed on the area of ADHD and how it impacts both our lives in a very relaxed and informative manner. We have a few laughs in between and lighten up the mood, which is quite difficult to do when speaking on a subject such as ADHD.
We both did a very good job.
Headnooks (Fran) thank you for being a guest on the TTHLC Podcast and we are both confident that many Men having a late diagnosis for ADHD can learn many things from our discussion today, and if not, use Tiktok (not all the videos) but a great deal of information will bring you further than a therapist who may not know s much as us who have ADHD.
We hope you can listen in today.

Hello and Welcome to Season 12, Episode 1 of the Solo series of the TTHLC Podcast.
Over two years ago, I started recording the first solo series for ADHD on the podcast with the first episode called „Blackouts“ gaining rave reviews as soon as it was released.
Well, I have grown since then, and have self diagnosed myself with Autism after seeking out a top UK doctor and completing an assessment roughly 9 months ago.
So now, I have the mixture of Autism and ADHD, called „AuDHD“ which is coming more prevalent now around the world.
Todays, Podcast episode doesn’t have to do with any of that, though :)
Moving Autism, ADHD and AuDHD aside for this episode I actually discuss the importance of „MINDSET“, which is everyones START-POINT regardless of which ND condition we present.
I hope you can take away some good tips and advice from this episode today.
Please don’t forget to like, follow and leave any questions and opinions you have on Spotify and I will do my best to answer you straight away.
Thanking you in joining me today.
