Starlight Broadcasting was born from a small Internet Radio Station called Starlight UK Radio back in 2011, which initially was created as a pastime for myself using very basic free downloadable software.Although there were gaps between tracks and further gaps between microphone (as the software was not built for this) It started to get quite a good following playing a mixture of music from 1950 till 2011 but mainly Motown and Northern Soul. The latter part of 2011 things really started coming together, I met Paul Gordon a former IT Technician for the computer company Hewlett Packard. He had listened to the station and his first words to me were “You sound like two tin cans connected with a piece of string” I knew from the start It was the beginning of a brilliant working relationship as he was exactly like me pull no punches and say it as it is.Things quickly moved on, we registered Starlight UK Radio, getting proper domains and most of all installing a good basic broadcasting software programme with a proper server and outside links to the station. From then on things just got better. A major milestone was hit when the station was getting picked up in the USA.https://starlightbroadcasting.co.uk/
Learnt violin and piano at high school. Discovered she could play several instruments just from instincts but not good enough to take seriously. Many years later Sheyla and Maizie Williams answered an add in an English stage magazine for dancers in Hannover germany. Turned out to be not what they expected but soon afterwards Sheyla was heard singing and playing piano by a good friend at whose house they were staying. He was Donna Summers close friend and god father of Donna’s daughter Mimi. Karl walter swiftly arranged a meeting with a music manager after hearing Sheyla play and sing. Sheyla decided to take Maizie and another friend along for company. Fast forward few months. Sheyla and maize got accepted into world famous iconic group Boney m. Sheyla struggled to cope with certain aspects of the Bands way of working and sadly left after about 9 months of promoting the band with her then best friend Maizie and another guy called Mike and Claudia Barry. After leaving the band Sheyla was well sort after by various producers songwriters etc one of who was Boney m’s co-producer Dietmar Kawohl to name but a few so she stayed with the same record company, Hansa Records and recorded few singles, one being a disco dance version of Proud Mary. She also joined a Tap dancing band called Mandrake who did many tv appearances and entered the German charts. Frank Farian at one stage also offered her a record contract but she politely declined. Sheyla has few solo recordings under her belt although none made any huge impact. Years later she teamed up with and married Icelandic bass player, sound engineer and producer Ingvar Areliusson (Arctic Fox) who owned Abbey Sound Studios London. The famous Abbey road would send clientele to Ingvar’s studio. They both continued to write for and produce several acts attracting much interest from influential music sectors. Few years later Sheyla reunited with her former best friend Maizie and convinced her to go out touring again. Maizie took up Sheylas offer and both successfully toured for 9 years with a similar lineup like the original Boney m but without Bobby and the other two, til clashes forced them apart again. After numerous interest of agents Sheyla reluctantly agreed to form her own version of BM which toured the world and still are successfully and with a plethora of projects including writing her own books and designing outfits for herself and band members Sheylas never bored. . She also paints, but most importantly she and her hubby have recently released a new fusion reggae album called JUSTIFY which features unknown and known guest musicians and vocalists including Swedish guitarist and song writer Mats Bjorklund who played on all Boney m hits. There’s also remixes soon to be enjoyed. After just few weeks of release the new album Justify is creating an impressive buzz. Sheyla, Ingvar and team have also had two other albums, Look Beyond and Angel Cures released plus various singles. Most Sheylas music is about Motivation and encouragement. Not to be forgotten is a single she recently recorded in Russian with a Soviet Union Officer plus others which had good promotion on social media. And of course her book writing talents must also not be ignored. She has published one book called Women are like cats and men like dogs, aren’t they? It has been out on all book platforms since few years. Another pending publication called Mixed Emotions more or less about her Boney M experience. She’s also contemplating penning her memoir at the suggestion of a friend.

Benson spent eight weeks on the UK Singles Chart in 1975 with his own composition, "Don't Throw It All Away". The single, released on the State Records label (State Records STAT10), reached No. 20 on the chart,[2] leading to an appearance on BBC Television's Top of the Pops. The song had originally been recorded by the Shadows, and they had performed it in the 1975 A Song for Europe contest, where it finished fourth of six entries. The song was covered in the United States by the Delfonics in 1978. There are also a number of reggae versions that include a dancehall style cut by Barrington Levy. Olivia Newton-John recorded a version of the track, including it on her 1976 album Come On Over.Benson had previously written a finalist for the 1974 UK competition, finishing last with the song "Someday", one of the six shortlisted entries performed by Olivia Newton-John. Benson had further attempts at winning the UK ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest, reaching the UK finals in 1977 with "After All This Time", performed by Wesley, Park and Smith, finishing fifth of 12; in 1981 with "All Cried Out", which he performed himself to place fourth of 8, and was later released on the WEA label; and in 1993 with "It's Just a Matter of Time" performed by Sonia, finishing last of eight entries.Benson tried again in 1998 with Alan Glass on the song "Give It Up" performed by Lisa Millet which finished eighth of the eight songs in the preliminary radio heat.In 1970, Benson's composition "Can't Afford to Lose", recorded by Jon Lukas, made it to the top 40 charts in the UK and some other European territories. It also occupied the top place in the pop charts in Lebanon for a full month, holding back the Beatles' "The Long and Winding Road" from reaching the No. 1 spot.[3] Benson's song "Let Her In" was recorded by John Travolta which became a hit in 1976. Several other songs originally written and recorded by Benson were also recorded by Travolta, such as "Can't Let You Go" and "Whenever I'm Away from You", as well as by his brother, Joey Travolta ("Something's Up (Love Me Like the First Time)"). Another of Benson's compositions, "Close to You", was recorded by Maxi Priest.[4] In 1976, he composed and sang "You", but it did not reach the UK charts.

Sen Monro was born in Belsize Park, Hampstead, London. His father Cemal and his mother Feriha came to England from Cyprus, then a British Colony, in 1952 with nothing more than £3 in their pockets. They worked hard and eventually moved to Finchley from Islington. Both Sen's parents had the ability to perform, if not the means, in those harsh times. Sen's dad could have been an actor and his mother could certainly sing. Sen explains that although his parents are Turkish Cypriot, his great grandmother was Greek Cypriot. Having checked his DNA background, Sen says he is rather surprised to find he has Italian, Jewish, North African and Mediterranean heritage, all of which he embraces. Sen credits his parents for his hard work and can do mindset. It was evident, from an early age Sen had a natural ability to act and write stories. This talent was recognized at school by his English teachers, particularly Mr Jobson and he was encouraged to pursue this talent. Accordingly, he embarked upon the journey to hone his acting and writing skills.A keen sportsman, Sen represented his school and county at football, cricket and athletics. As a footballer, he had trials at several well known clubs, including Chelsea, Reading and Orient, eventually signing trainee forms for Southend United but then went on to play for Harpenden Town FC. Sen loves golf and enjoys general knowledge quizzes. He was once a winner on the very popular TV show "Blind Date", hosted by Cilla Black and has also appeared on the quiz show "Tipping Point" hosted by Ben Shepherd.Sen is a fluent speaker of French and Turkish. This linguistic ability was certainly evident in his gripping performance of Dinu Bucalet Senior, a Romanian immigrant, in "The Cage" and as Emre in "Skewered".Sen's talents are now becoming more recognized in the world of film and TV, not just because of his acting but also his script writing. He has written and produced STAGES which was critically acclaimed. Additionally, Sen has also written, TWO WRONGS, SWEET DREAMS and DIPAK CALHOUN, amongst others. All of these films are in line to be produced with well known film producers Tony Klinger and Steven Bernstein.Sen is the founder of Gripping Yarn Films, based in the UK. I was told you're fat enough and you know, you don't need any food, look at you. You know, you've got storage enough and I wasn't fat, I was pregnant. The level of abuse was completely terrible. I couldn't speak to anyone, because how do you tell anyone? You just got married, you change your whole life and this is what's happening. The only people who I would reach out to was my mother in law, who I would call mum. In time I started revealing and telling her, she just kept on saying: he's a baby, he doesn't know, it's all gonna get better. He doesn't know how to handle, I'll have a word with him. What I didn't realise was that abuse ran in their family. She was only condoning it, because that's the way she dealt with it. In the beginning I didn't tell my family at all. Then later, I went back and I said: ok, now this is my route of escape. When they saw me, they were shocked 'cause they said I looked like a living dead body in front of them. So I confided in my mum and I told her this is what happened and mum was very quiet. And all the food in the world you could think of, I stuffed my face literally, cause I was so hungry and I was so happy to see food. I was taken to private doctors to see the baby's ok and my mum said: ok, you gotta go back. And I didn't wanna go back and she said: you can't disgrace the family name. I, I don't know I couldn't get over that, I couldn't forgive my mum for a very long time.Because I was back in my hell. I just remember crying in pain because my stomach started to hurt. I remember waiting and waiting for him and the afternoon turned to night and I was rolling on the floor and vomiting and crying 'cause I was so hungry. I broke free in 2013 which is not too long ago. And I learned to battle my way out because when I saw my 2 little babies I said: I gotta be strong for them. Some people have asked me: why did I go on and have another baby, when I was with a man like that. Nothing in my life was ever consensual. I never had a choice in anything. But today I do. And I broke through, I worked very hard, I transformed in every way possible. I transformed me, I became into a mother, I became into a survivor, into a warrior, into a teacher and I said: this is who I am. Now, I have to be a pillar of strength for them and what I do from now on marks their future. Right now my children have a very happy home. They're always laughing, they have no shortage of anything. And I work very hard. I actually feel like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
