In Episode 277 of the Bible Mysteries Podcast, Scott Mitchell and John Potts continue their study of the Gog and Magog prophecy by taking a closer look at Ezekiel 38 and 39—focusing on the identity of Gog, the land of Magog, and the timing of these events. With increasing speculation about modern conflicts being tied to this prophecy, this episode moves beyond assumption and carefully examines what the Bible actually says. Building on Part 1, the discussion emphasizes the importance of letting Scripture define its own terms rather than forcing current events into prophetic passages. A key focus in this episode is the distinction between two separate battles involving Gog. By comparing Ezekiel with Revelation 20, Scott explains why these cannot be the same event and how one appears to occur prior to the tribulation while the other takes place at the end of the millennial reign of Christ. The episode also explores the meaning of key names such as Meshech, Tubal, and Magog, addressing common claims that attempt to directly link these to modern nations like Russia. Instead, the teaching highlights their historical and geographical context, pointing toward regions associated with Asia Minor while cautioning against oversimplified conclusions. Another significant element discussed is the supernatural nature of God’s intervention. This is not a conventional war—God Himself defeats the invading forces, demonstrating His power in a way that causes the nations to recognize Him. Yet, unlike the final battle described in Revelation, a remnant of the invading force remains, raising important questions about the role this event plays in what follows. The phrase “those who dwell carelessly” is also examined, offering insight into a condition of false security that characterizes the last days. This description invites believers to consider not just geography, but spiritual readiness. This episode continues to build a careful, Scripture-based understanding of Gog and Magog—reminding us that prophecy is not meant to be driven by speculation, but by the Word of God. Key Scriptures (KJV) Ezekiel 38:18–23 Ezekiel 39:1–7 Revelation 20:7–10 Genesis 10:2 Topics Covered Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38–39 Two distinct battles of Gog Differences between Ezekiel and Revelation 20 Identity of Gog and the land of Magog Meshech and Tubal in biblical geography Misinterpretation of modern nations in prophecy God’s supernatural intervention in battle The meaning of “dwelling carelessly” Prophetic timing and the last days Takeaway  Understanding Gog and Magog requires careful study of Scripture, not assumptions based on current events. God’s Word provides clarity when it is rightly divided, revealing truth that stands independent of speculation. In this Easter message, we examine a question many have asked but few fully understand—why did Jesus have to die?Scripture reveals that the answer reaches back before creation itself. God established a plan of redemption before the foundation of the world, knowing that sin would enter through rebellion and that salvation would require a perfect sacrifice. This lesson traces the biblical record from eternity past through the fall of Satan, the creation of man, and the entrance of sin into the world. It reveals the distinction between the earth given to man and the world system influenced by Satan, and how a legal challenge led to the need for redemption through Jesus Christ. We also see that the mystery of the cross was hidden from the powers of this world. Had they known what Christ’s death would accomplish, they would not have crucified Him. Yet through His death, burial, and resurrection, God fulfilled a plan that had been established before time began. This message brings clarity to the purpose of the cross and calls each listener to consider their own response to the gospel. Key Scriptures (KJV) Ephesians 1:4–7 “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world… In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins…” 1 Corinthians 2:7–8 “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery… which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” 1 Peter 1:18–20 “But with the precious blood of Christ… who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world…” Revelation 13:8 “…the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Genesis 1:1–2 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth… And the earth was without form, and void…” Isaiah 14:12–15 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning…” Ezekiel 28:14–16 “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth… till iniquity was found in thee.” Romans 1:25 “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator…” 2 Thessalonians 2:13 “God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation… through belief of the truth.” What You’ll Learn Why Jesus’ death was planned before the foundation of the world The mystery that was hidden from spiritual powers The difference between the earth and the world system (cosmos) The fall of Satan and the origin of rebellion Why man was given dominion after the angelic rebellion How sin entered the world through choice, not accident Why redemption required the blood of Christ How salvation is received through belief of the truth Takeaway  The cross was not a reaction to sin—it was the fulfillment of a plan established before creation. God knew, prepared, and provided a way of salvation through Jesus Christ. The question is not whether the plan exists, but whether you have believed it. If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, today is the day to believe. He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day so that you might have eternal life. “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) Read the Companion blog: The Foundation of the World: God’s Eternal Plan of Redemption Through Jesus Christ https://www.biblemysteriespodcast.com/post/the-foundation-of-the-world-god-s-eternal-plan-of-redemption-through-jesus-christ-easter-message Downloadable Study Guide Available for subscribers: Subscribe today at https://biblemysteries.supercast.com The Unlock the Bible Now ministry provides weekly Sunday Bible Studies to help you understand God's word and unlock the secrets found in the Bible. In Episode 276 of the Bible Mysteries Podcast, Scott Mitchell and John Potts begin a three-part series examining one of the most discussed and often misunderstood prophecies in Scripture—the Battle of Gog found in Ezekiel 38 and 39. With global tensions rising and constant speculation circulating online, many are quick to claim that current events are the direct fulfillment of biblical prophecy. In this opening episode, Scott and John take a step back and address a critical issue first: end times deception. The Bible warns that in the latter days, deception will increase—even among believers. This episode explores how misinformation, social media, and even artificial intelligence are contributing to confusion, making it more difficult to discern truth from error. Scott emphasizes the importance of grounding our understanding of prophecy in Scripture rather than headlines or popular opinion. Through a careful examination of key passages, including 1 Timothy 4 and 2 Timothy 4, this episode highlights the danger of departing from sound doctrine and the rise of teachings that appeal to emotion rather than truth. The discussion also addresses two common errors seen in the church today—those who avoid doctrine entirely and those who add to Scripture by elevating extra-biblical writings. Both approaches lead away from a proper understanding of God’s Word. A central focus of this episode is the frequent misapplication of Psalm 83 as a future prophetic war. By comparing Scripture with Scripture, Scott shows how Psalm 83 aligns with the historical events recorded in 2 Chronicles 20, where God Himself fought the battle for Israel when His people sought Him first. This episode sets the foundation for the rest of the series by establishing a key principle: we must interpret current events through the lens of Scripture—not force Scripture to fit current events. As deception increases, believers are called to hold fast to the Word of God, rightly divide the truth, and remain anchored in sound doctrine. Key Scriptures (KJV) 1 Timothy 4:1 2 Timothy 4:1–4 Psalm 83 2 Chronicles 20:1–22 Topics Covered End times deception and the last days The influence of media, social platforms, and AI on discernment The importance of sound doctrine Two extremes within the modern church Misinterpretation of Bible prophecy Psalm 83 and its historical context Trusting God over worldly systems Takeaway  Deception in the last days is not just about false information—it is about departing from truth. The believer’s safeguard is not speculation, but Scripture. What happens the moment a believer dies? Are Christians asleep in the grave awaiting the resurrection, or are they immediately with the Lord? In this message, Scripture is compared with Scripture to answer a question many believers wrestle with: Where are the saints between death and the rapture? Looking at passages from Psalms, the Gospels, Paul’s epistles, and Revelation, this study clarifies the biblical teaching on the state of the dead in Christ. The Bible reveals that death for the believer is not a period of unconscious waiting, but a transition into the presence of the Lord. From Abraham’s bosom to the third heaven, and ultimately to the promise of a glorified body, this message lays out the full picture of what awaits those who are in Christ. This is a study grounded in the hope, comfort, and certainty given in God’s Word—that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Key Scripture References (KJV) Psalm 116:15 Luke 16:19–31 Luke 23:39–43 2 Corinthians 5:1–8 2 Corinthians 12:2–4 Ephesians 4:8–10 1 Corinthians 15:50–54 1 Thessalonians 4:13–17 Revelation 2:7 Revelation 6:9–11 Revelation 22:1–2 Matthew 27:50–53 Key Topics Covered  What happens immediately after a believer dies The meaning of “absent from the body, present with the Lord” Abraham’s bosom and its role before Christ’s resurrection The biblical definition of paradise Why “soul sleep” does not align with Scripture The difference between the soul, spirit, and physical body The future resurrection and glorified body How the rapture completes the believer’s redemption Read The companion Blog:  Where Do Christians Go When They Die? In Episode 275 of the Bible Mysteries Podcast, we examine prayer and consider insights from Hebrew understanding while testing every idea against the authority of Scripture. In this final part of the Comprehending Four Dimensions series—following wisdom, knowledge, and worship—we turn to prayer and what the Bible reveals. Prayer is one of the most familiar practices in the Christian life—and yet one of the most misunderstood. In this final installment of the Comprehending Four Dimensions series, we turn to Scripture to define what prayer truly is and how it functions in the life of a believer. Building on the previous “dimensions” of wisdom, knowledge, and worship, this episode focuses on prayer as an essential part of God’s design for relationship with Him. But rather than relying on personal interpretation or new ideas, we compare every concept with the full counsel of Scripture. The Bible does not leave prayer undefined. It gives clear instruction: we are told to ask, seek, and knock. We are told to make our requests known to God. We are told to pray according to His will as revealed in His Word. At the same time, this episode addresses an important question: Is prayer simply accepting whatever God has already determined? While God’s will is perfect and unchanging, Scripture shows that prayer is not passive resignation—it is active, intentional communication with God. Throughout this discussion, we emphasize the importance of testing all teaching—whether based on language study, personal insight, or tradition—against the authority of Scripture. No single perspective can stand apart from the clear pattern given in the Word of God. Prayer is not redefined by modern thought. It is revealed by God. Key Topics Covered The fourth dimension of prayer in God’s design What the Bible clearly teaches about prayer Asking, seeking, and knocking (Matthew 7:7) Praying according to the will of God (1 John 5:14) Why Scripture—not interpretation—defines prayer Testing every teaching against the Word of God Key Scriptures 1 Samuel 1:17-28 Romans 8:26-28 Philippians 4:6 Matthew 6:9–10 Matthew 7:7 1 John 5:14 1 Thessalonians 5:21 John 17:17 Series Context: The Four Dimensions Wisdom Knowledge Worship Prayer Each dimension builds on the last, forming a biblical framework for understanding how God relates to His people. Closing Thought  Prayer is not silence. Prayer is not resignation. Prayer is not undefined. Prayer is clearly revealed in Scripture—and it is there that we must remain. What Is Biblical Prayer? In this message from Unlock the Bible Now, we address the growing criticism surrounding dispensational teaching and return to Scripture to examine what God actually says. Are dispensations a man-made system—or are they revealed in the Word of God? This lesson walks through key passages to show that the concept of dispensations did not originate with modern theologians, but with the Apostle Paul. We look at how God’s dealings with mankind have changed over time, and why understanding those changes is essential to rightly dividing the Word of truth. You’ll see the clear distinction between Israel’s kingdom program and the dispensation of grace given to Paul, along with the mystery that was hidden in previous ages but now revealed—that salvation is available to all men, Jew and Gentile alike, through faith in Jesus Christ. We also address common misunderstandings behind dispensational attacks, including confusion about the law, the covenants, and the role of modern Israel. Scripture makes it clear: salvation today is not through the law, rituals, or religious systems, but by grace through faith. This message is a call to return to the simplicity of the gospel and to stand firmly on what the Word of God declares. In This Episode, You’ll Learn: What a dispensation is according to Scripture Why dispensational teaching comes from the Apostle Paul The difference between Israel’s kingdom message and the gospel of grace What the “mystery” revealed to Paul means for believers today Why salvation is by grace without the law How Israel’s fall opened the door for Gentile salvation The truth about modern Israel and God’s future plan Why many attacks on dispensationalism stem from misunderstanding Scripture Key Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 9:17 Matthew 10:5–7 Matthew 15:24 Romans 11:11–26 Colossians 1:24–27 Ephesians 2:11–19 Ephesians 3:1–9 Romans 3:19–24 Ephesians 1:9–11 1 Timothy 1:3–6 Final Thought: The gospel for today is clear—Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again. Salvation is offered freely to all who believe. Don’t be distracted by arguments and traditions. Stay grounded in the Word, and trust what God has revealed. What does the Bible mean when it speaks of a “far country”? At first glance, the phrase simply seems to describe a distant land. But when this expression appears throughout Scripture, it begins to reveal something far deeper. In this episode, Scott and John trace the phrase “far country” through the Bible—from the Old Testament prophets to the parables of Jesus—to uncover a powerful prophetic pattern. Beginning in Isaiah 13, the prophecy concerning the burden of Babylon describes an army gathered by the Lord that comes “from a far country, from the end of heaven.” While this passage includes the historical destruction of Babylon by the Medes and Persians, it also points forward to something far greater: the future judgment of Mystery Babylon and the return of the Lord in the Day of the Lord. As the study unfolds, several key passages reveal how this phrase connects to God’s prophetic timeline. The first appearance in Joshua 9 shows how the idea of a far country represents great distance and long travel. Solomon later speaks of strangers who come from a far country seeking the God of Israel, hinting at the inclusion of the Gentiles. Then the phrase appears again in the parables of Jesus, where a nobleman or householder travels to a far country and later returns to settle accounts with his servants. These parables reveal a prophetic picture of Christ’s rejection, His departure to heaven, and His future return to judge the world and establish His kingdom. Finally, the study connects these passages with Revelation 19, where heaven opens and Christ returns with the armies of heaven to defeat the forces of the beast. The sanctified ones and mighty ones described in Isaiah may point to the heavenly host—both angelic armies and the saints returning with the Lord. Throughout Scripture, the phrase “far country” consistently points toward heaven itself—the place Christ ascended after His rejection and the place from which He will return. For believers, this is more than a study of words. It is a reminder of a promise: Christ has gone to a far country—but He is coming back. Key Topics Covered The meaning of “far country” in Scripture Isaiah 13 and the prophecy of Babylon’s destruction Historical Babylon vs. Mystery Babylon The Day of the Lord and the time of Jacob’s trouble Solomon’s prayer and Gentiles seeking the Lord The parables of the far country in the teachings of Jesus Christ’s departure to heaven and His promised return Revelation 19 and the armies of heaven returning with Christ Key Scriptures Referenced  Isaiah 13 Joshua 9 1 Kings 8 2 Chronicles 6 Daniel 5 Isaiah 46 Proverbs 25:25 Matthew 21 Matthew 25 Luke 19 Hosea 5:15 Revelation 19 Read the Companion blog:  Far Country in the Bible: The Prophetic Meaning of Christ Coming From a Far Country https://www.biblemysteriespodcast.com/post/far-country-in-the-bible-the-prophetic-meaning-of-christ-coming-from-a-far-country Downloadable Study Guide Available For Our Subscribers Subscribe today at https://biblemysteries.supercast.com Bible Mysteries is an educational ministry podcast exposing the ancient spiritual battle in the modern world. In times of global uncertainty, rising tensions, and economic instability, many people are searching for freedom and peace. But the freedom the world offers is temporary and fragile. Governments change, economies collapse, and circumstances can shift overnight. Scripture reveals a deeper truth. True freedom is not found in political systems, financial stability, or personal independence. According to the Word of God, true freedom is found only in Christ. In this Bible study message, Scott examines what the Scriptures teach about spiritual liberty and why believers can possess genuine peace even in the midst of chaos. Drawing from passages such as Acts 16, John 8, Romans 8, and Philippians 4, this message explains how believers are made free from the power of sin and death through Jesus Christ. Paul and Silas demonstrated this reality when they prayed and sang praises to God after being beaten and imprisoned. Though their bodies were confined, their freedom in Christ remained untouched. The same is true for believers today. When we understand the liberty we have through the gospel, we can face troubling times without fear. Our freedom does not depend on the stability of this world but on the finished work of Jesus Christ. This message reminds us that even when persecution, hardship, or uncertainty arise, the peace of God can guard our hearts and minds through Christ. This teaching was originally recorded in December 2023 and remains just as relevant today as the world continues to wrestle with turmoil and uncertainty. Key Scripture References Acts 16:16–25 John 8:31–36 Romans 6:15–18 Romans 8:1–23 Galatians 5:1 Philippians 4:4–9 2 Thessalonians 1:4–10 In This Message What the Bible means by being “made free” in Christ • Why true freedom is spiritual, not political • How believers can have peace during uncertain times • Why persecution has always accompanied the gospel • The future glory awaiting those who trust Christ Listen and Study With Us  The Unlock the Bible Now ministry provides weekly Sunday Bible Studies to help you understand God's word and unlock the secrets found in the Bible. In this second part of our duocast with Pete Ohlinger from the Days of Noah Podcast, we continue examining one of the most serious and debated doctrines in Scripture: the nature of hell. Does the Bible teach eternal conscious punishment, or do the lost eventually cease to exist through annihilation? Building on the foundation laid in Part 1, Scott and Pete dig deeper into key passages that describe the final judgment, including the Lake of Fire, the Second Death, and the Great White Throne judgment. Along the way, they discuss how Scripture interprets Scripture, why context matters when studying words like eternal and everlasting, and how Jesus Himself warned repeatedly about the reality of hell. The conversation also addresses common arguments used to support annihilationism and compares them with passages that describe unending punishment. Special attention is given to the words of Jesus in Mark 9, the account of the rich man and Lazarus, and the prophetic descriptions found in Revelation. This discussion is not about winning a theological debate—it is about faithfully examining what the Bible says and allowing Scripture to shape our understanding of God’s justice, mercy, and the eternal consequences of rejecting the gospel. Join us as we conclude this important conversation and consider what the Word of God reveals about eternity. In This Episode Why the doctrine of hell must be grounded in Scripture The meaning of “everlasting” and “eternal” in biblical context Jesus’ warnings about hell in Mark 9 and Luke 16 The Lake of Fire and the Second Death in Revelation The Great White Throne judgment and judgment according to works Whether punishment in hell may vary in severity Why rejecting Christ ultimately determines eternal destiny Scriptures Referenced Daniel 12:2 Matthew 25:46 Mark 9:43–48 Luke 16:19–31 2 Thessalonians 1:8–9 Revelation 14:9–11 Revelation 19:20 Revelation 20:11–15 Revelation 21:8 Listen to Part 1  If you missed the beginning of this discussion, be sure to listen to Episode 272: Eternal Torment or Annihilation? One of the most debated questions in the Book of Acts is whether the Jewish believers in Jerusalem continued living under the Law of Moses after believing in Jesus Christ. Acts chapter 15 records a major council in Jerusalem where the apostles and elders gathered to address a serious dispute: some believers were teaching that Gentiles could not be saved unless they were circumcised and kept the Law of Moses. Was this teaching correct? Were the early Jewish believers still obligated to keep the law? Or had something fundamentally changed with the death and resurrection of Christ? In this lesson, we examine the Scriptures that clarify the relationship between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. From the words of Peter, Paul, and the prophets, the Bible reveals that the Law of Moses was never meant to provide righteousness—it served as a schoolmaster pointing to Christ. When Jesus shed His blood, He fulfilled the law and established the New Covenant. Because of that finished work, believers today are not justified by the works of the law but by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Join us as we walk through the key passages that explain why Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Key Scriptures Acts 15:1–11 Jeremiah 31:31–34 Matthew 26:26–29 1 Corinthians 11:23–26 2 Corinthians 3:6–17 Romans 10:1–4 Hebrews 7:11–22 Galatians 3:19–25 Colossians 2:13–17 In This Lesson Why Acts 15 became a turning point in the early church What Peter meant when he called the law a “yoke” Why the Old Covenant had to be replaced How the New Covenant was established through Christ’s blood Why Jesus could not serve as High Priest under the Law of Moses What Paul meant when he said Christ is the end of the law The true purpose of the law in leading people to Christ Why believers today live in the liberty of the New Covenant A Final Thought  The Law of Moses revealed sin but could never remove it. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus Christ fulfilled the law and brought in a better covenant—one based on grace, righteousness, and the power of the Spirit. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, the invitation still stands: “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” And for those who are in Christ, Scripture reminds us to stand fast in the liberty we have in Him and not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. In this special Duocast episode, Scott is joined by Pete Ohlinger of The Days of Noah Podcast for a thoughtful and biblical discussion on one of the most debated doctrines in Christianity today: Is hell eternal? Recent public conversations among well-known Christian voices have revived interest in the doctrine of hell — specifically the debate between eternal conscious torment and annihilationism (conditional immortality). What does the Bible actually teach? In Part 1 of this two-part discussion, Scott and Pete: Introduce their ministries and the purpose behind their podcasts Discuss the growing trend of doctrinal shifts in modern Christianity Define eternal conscious torment and annihilationism Examine whether immortality is inherent or conditional Explore whether unbelief is the core issue in eternal judgment Address the justice of God and the nature of divine punishment Consider the “age of accountability” question Begin examining key passages in Revelation concerning the Lake of Fire This conversation is not about controversy for its own sake — it is about returning to Scripture and carefully handling what God has revealed. As always, we approach this topic with humility, recognizing that while this is not a salvation issue, it is a serious theological one that deserves careful study and discernment. Part 2 will continue this discussion and examine additional biblical texts and theological implications. What did Paul mean when he wrote, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard…”? This verse is often quoted as a poetic reference to heaven—but in its full context, it speaks of something far more specific. Paul was not pointing to imagination. He was declaring a mystery once hidden in God and later revealed by the Spirit. In this lesson, we examine: The full context of 1 Corinthians 2 Paul’s citation of Isaiah 64 The connection between loving God and waiting for Him What it means to “love His appearing” The mystery revealed to Paul in Ephesians 3 How Jew and Gentile are made fellow heirs in Christ Why loving God includes loving your brother What God has prepared for those who believe The phrase “Eye hath not seen” does not mean God left us uninformed. The hidden wisdom of God has now been revealed through the gospel. The mystery is that salvation is available to all—Jew and Gentile alike—through faith in Jesus Christ. To love God is not merely to say it. It is to believe on His Son, proclaim the truth, endure in faith, and look for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Christ is coming. The mystery has been made known. And what lies ahead surpasses anything the human heart has conceived. Key Scriptures 1 Corinthians 2:6–10 Isaiah 64:1–5 Matthew 22:36–40 Titus 2:11–13 2 Timothy 4:1–8 1 John 4:7–21 1 Thessalonians 1:2–10 Ephesians 3:1–11 The Gospel  If you have never trusted Christ, believe the gospel. Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day for your justification. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. If you are saved, love His appearing. Let it be known. In this final installment of our series on the Book of Enoch, Scott Mitchell examines one of the most important questions of all: does the Book of Enoch meet the biblical standard for Scripture? This episode focuses on three critical issues—canon, intercession, and biblical authority—and compares the claims of the Book of Enoch directly against the Word of God. Scripture is clear that God has promised to preserve His Word, that Jesus Christ alone is our intercessor, and that angels are ministering spirits, not mediators. We also look at what the Bible actually teaches about access to the heavenly realm, why Christ’s sacrifice is central to that access, and why the Book of Enoch’s descriptions do not align with the timing and structure of redemption laid out in Scripture. The Book of Enoch may be historically interesting, but history is not inspiration. In this episode, Scott lays out why the early church was right to reject it from the canon—and why believers should test every extra-biblical writing against the preserved Word of God. In This Episode, You’ll Learn Why God’s promise to preserve His Word matters when testing any book What Scripture teaches about who can intercede—and who cannot Why angels are ministers, not mediators How the Book of Enoch conflicts with the Bible’s teaching on judgment and intercession The difference between Ezekiel’s and John’s visions of God’s throne—and why timing matters Why access to the heavenly throne is only possible after Christ’s atoning work How Hebrews explains when the way into the holiest was truly opened Why the Book of Enoch fails the biblical test for inclusion in the canon Key Scriptures Discussed Psalm 12:6–7 – God’s promise to preserve His Word Genesis 6:5–8 – God’s judgment on the wickedness of man Isaiah 53:10–12 – The Messiah as intercessor Hebrews 7:24–25 – Christ ever lives to make intercession Romans 8:26–27 – The Spirit’s intercession for the saints Hebrews 1:4–14 – The nature and role of angels Psalm 8:3–8 – Man’s place in God’s order Psalm 115:16 – The heavens are the Lord’s, the earth given to men Ezekiel 1:26–28 – Ezekiel’s vision of God’s throne Revelation 4:1–8 – John’s vision of the throne in heaven Hebrews 9:6–12 – When the way into the holiest was made manifest Job 4:18 – God charging His angels with folly Summary The Bible does not leave the question of authority open-ended. God has preserved His Word, and He has revealed a clear structure for redemption, intercession, and divine order. When the Book of Enoch is tested against that standard, it falls short—especially in its teaching about angels, intercession, and access to the heavenly realm. This episode concludes the series by showing why the Book of Enoch should be treated as historical literature, not Scripture—and why believers must keep the canon grounded in what God has preserved and promised. Many believers affirm that Jesus Christ is the Word of God—but what about the Bible itself? Is Scripture truly God’s Word, or is it only a human record of spiritual ideas? In this lesson, Scott Mitchell responds to a listener’s question and examines what the Bible says about its own authority. From the Gospel of John to the writings of Paul and Peter, Scripture consistently presents itself as God-breathed, trustworthy, and unbreakable. Key Scripture Passages Referenced John 1:1, 14 – The Word was God, and the Word was made flesh John 10:34–35 – “The scripture cannot be broken” 2 Peter 1:16–21 – A “more sure word of prophecy” and the origin of Scripture 2 Timothy 3:14–17 – All Scripture is given by inspiration of God Psalm 12:6–7 – The Lord preserves His words Luke 24:44–46 – Christ opens the understanding of the Scriptures 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 – The gospel according to the Scriptures Acts 17:2–3, 10–11 – Paul reasons from the Scriptures; the Bereans search them daily Romans 16:25–26 – The mystery made known by the Scriptures of the prophets 2 Peter 3:15–16 – Peter recognizes Paul’s writings as Scripture 1 John 4:1–3 – Test the spirits 1 Corinthians 2:6–13 – Spiritual things are discerned by the Spirit and compared with Scripture Psalm 138:2 – God has magnified His Word above His name What This Study Covers  The biblical meaning of “the Word” (Logos) and its connection to Scripture Why Jesus treated Scripture as the authoritative Word of God How the apostles used Scripture to prove the gospel message Why Scripture is called “God-breathed” and what that means for believers How God preserves His Word and why it remains the standard of truth Why every spiritual claim must be tested by Scripture The Bible does not present itself as a collection of religious opinions. It presents itself as the written, preserved Word of God. The same Scriptures that testify of Christ also reveal the gospel that saves: that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. This message explains why Christians can confidently say the Bible is the Word of God—and why that truth remains central to faith, doctrine, and daily life. What does the Bible mean when it calls Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God—and why does that phrase matter? In this message, Scott walks carefully through Scripture to show that “only begotten” is not a theological relic or a poetic expression, but a precise biblical truth that points directly to the incarnation, the cross, and the gospel itself. This study explains why Jesus had to be born of a woman, why He had to enter the human experience, and why only a true man could die for men—while still being fully God. By comparing Scripture with Scripture, we see how the Bible uses “only begotten” to affirm both Christ’s humanity and His divinity without confusion or compromise. You’ll also hear a clear biblical response to modern objections about the phrase “only begotten,” including the question of Isaac and Abraham, the meaning of promise, and why this language is essential to understanding salvation by grace through faith. In this episode, you’ll learn: What “only begotten Son of God” actually means in Scripture Why Jesus had to be born in the flesh in order to die for sinners How the Bible shows Christ to be fully God and fully man Why Hebrews, Romans, Galatians, and John all point to the incarnation The biblical meaning of “propitiation” and why it matters for salvation How Isaac and the promise illustrate God’s plan in Christ Why changing this phrase weakens the clarity of the gospel What it means to truly believe on the only begotten Son of God Key Scriptures: John 1:14, 18 John 3:16–18 Romans 1:3–4; 3:23–26 Galatians 4:4–7; 3:26–29 Hebrews 2:9–18; 4:14–15; 11:17 1 John 4:9–10 Main Takeaway:  Jesus Christ did not merely appear as a man—He was born into the human experience so He could suffer, die, and become the perfect sacrifice for sin. The phrase “only begotten Son of God” protects this truth and keeps the gospel exactly where God put it: in a real Savior who really died and really rose again. The Book of Enoch is often promoted as a missing key to understanding Genesis 6, the Nephilim, and the fallen angels. In Part 2 of this series, Scott Mitchell and John Potts continue testing the Book of Enoch by the only reliable standard: the preserved Word of God. Rather than treating Enoch as inspired, this episode examines its language, claims, and internal consistency and compares them directly with Scripture. From questions about “orbits” and “luminaries,” to contradictions about eternal life, to the problem of Mount Hermon and the size of the giants, this study shows why the biblical fathers were right to reject Enoch from the canon. This is not about dismissing history—it’s about rightly dividing the Word of Truth and keeping Scripture as the final authority. In This Episode Why historical interest does not equal biblical inspiration The standard of Scripture: preservation, consistency, and divine authorship Problematic language in Enoch: “orbits” and “luminaries” vs. biblical wording What the Bible actually teaches about eternal life—and why Enoch conflicts with it Confusion over the leader of the fallen angels in Enoch The claim about Mount Hermon and “mutual imprecations” tested against Hebrew Scripture Why the biblical names for Mount Hermon describe geography, not a curse The giants of Enoch: why 3,000 ells (4,500 feet) makes no biblical or physical sense How Scripture records giants—and why it never describes anything like Enoch’s claims The role of scribes, preservation, and why non-canonical books lack the marks of Scripture Why God’s Word keeps the focus on redemption in Christ, not angelic speculation Key Scriptures Referenced (KJV) Psalm 12:6–7 — God preserves His words Genesis 1:14–18 — God’s description of the lights in the heavens Job 38:31–33 — God names the stars and their ordinances John 3:16; John 6:51 — Everlasting and eternal life Revelation 22:5 — Reigning with Christ forever Deuteronomy 3:8–9 — The biblical names of Mount Hermon Genesis 6:4 — The giants and “men of renown” Isaiah 8:20 — The test of all teaching by Scripture Main Takeaway The Book of Enoch may be interesting, but when it is tested by Scripture, it fails in language, doctrine, internal consistency, and agreement with God’s preserved Word. The Bible does not need to be corrected or supplemented. God has already given—and kept—what He intended His people to have. About This Series  This is Part 2 of an ongoing examination of the Book of Enoch. The goal is not to elevate Enoch, but to compare everything to Scripture and to keep Christ and His redemptive work at the center of God’s Word. In this message, Scott Mitchell examines the biblical warning that “the mystery of iniquity doth already work” and shows how Scripture traces this hidden system of deception from ancient Babel to the final rise of the man of sin. Using 2 Thessalonians 2 as the foundation, this study explains how something is presently restraining the full revelation of the Antichrist, even while the spiritual system behind him is already active in the world. The lesson connects Jesus’ warnings about religious deception, Paul’s teaching on the falling away, and John’s vision of Mystery Babylon the Great in Revelation 17–18. You’ll see how false religion, rooted in Babylon, has shaped world history, why it is described as a system that traffics in the “souls of men,” and how it ultimately prepares the world to receive a false christ who will sit in the temple of God claiming to be God. Scott also explains the biblical background of Babel, Nimrod, and the spread of idolatry through the nations, showing how this ancient rebellion against God continues under different names and forms today. The message closes with a sober warning about strong delusion in the last days—and a clear call to trust Jesus Christ, who alone will destroy the man of sin and bring this entire system to its end. Key Scriptures: 2 Thessalonians 2, Matthew 7, Matthew 12–13, Genesis 10–11, Revelation 17–18, 1 Timothy 6 In this episode, you’ll learn: What the Bible means by the mystery of iniquity How Babylon’s religious system began and why it still matters Why false religion is central to the rise of the man of sin How Revelation describes Mystery Babylon and her final judgment What Scripture says about the coming deception and strong delusion Why the only safety is in believing the gospel of Jesus Christ Listen and be reminded: the mystery of iniquity is already at work, but its time is limited. Christ is coming, and He will destroy the man of sin and the system behind him with the brightness of His coming. In this episode of Bible Mysteries Podcast, Scott Mitchell and John Potts begin a careful, Scripture-based examination of the Book of Enoch. With increased interest in Enoch across Christian media, this study establishes clear biblical ground rules for evaluating non-canon writings without undermining the authority or preservation of God’s word. Rather than dismissing Enoch outright—or elevating it to the level of Scripture—this episode tests the book using the biblical standard itself. Scott explains why quotation does not equal inspiration, why Scripture must interpret Scripture, and why internal contradictions disqualify any writing from being considered God-breathed. This is Part 1 of a multi-part series. What This Episode Covers Why the Book of Enoch must be examined through Scripture, not alongside it The difference between inspiration, historical value, and quotation God’s promise to preserve His word and why that promise matters today Why claims about “the original Greek” or “the original Hebrew" are often misleading How manuscript traditions affect modern Bible translations Why Enoch’s opening chapter conflicts no with biblical prophecy Mount Sinai vs. the Mount of Olives and why the distinction matters The claim that “all upon the earth shall perish” and why Scripture disagrees The biblical problem with the term “the watchers” Why Jude’s quotation of Enoch does not canonize the entire book Key Scriptures Discussed Genesis 3 Genesis 5:21–24 Psalm 12:6–7 Isaiah 24 Zechariah 14 Matthew 25:31–46 Romans 10 Galatians 4:24–26 Daniel 4 Jude 1:14–15 Acts 17:28 2 Peter 1:20–21 Core Takeaway God’s word is self-authenticating, consistent, and preserved. Any book that contradicts what God has already revealed—especially on prophetic and doctrinal matters—cannot be Scripture. The Book of Enoch raises important questions, but Scripture alone determines the answers. What’s Coming Next  In the next part of this series, Scott will continue examining where the Book of Enoch diverges from Scripture and will address topics often tied to Enoch, including the origin of demons and the distinction between demons and fallen angels. Episode Summary In this Bible study message, the question of how the Holy Spirit speaks today is examined through Scripture. Rather than relying on personal experiences, impressions, or private revelations, the Bible provides clear instruction on how God communicates with His people in this present age. Scripture teaches that believers are given a teachable spirit at salvation so they may be instructed by the Holy Ghost. The Spirit teaches by comparing spiritual things with spiritual—Scripture with Scripture—and never contradicts the written Word of God. Throughout this study, biblical examples are used to show how the Spirit leads, teaches, seals, and calls through the gospel, while also warning against claims that cannot be tested by Scripture. This lesson emphasizes the importance of discernment, the danger of private interpretation, and the sufficiency of God’s completed Word as the final authority for faith and practice. Key Teaching Points The difference between a teachable spirit and the Holy Spirit How the Holy Spirit teaches by comparing Scripture with Scripture What it truly means to be led by the Spirit of God How resisting the Holy Ghost is tied to rejecting God’s Word Why Scripture is a more sure word than visions or experiences The biblical process by which the Spirit calls sinners to salvation How to test the spirits according to 1 John 4 Why God’s Word is complete and sufficient for believers today Scripture References 1 Corinthians 2 Psalm 138:2 Luke 4:1 Romans 8:12–14 Acts 7:51–52 Acts 16:6–10 2 Thessalonians 2:13–14 Romans 10:13–17 John 6:63–64 2 Peter 1:19–21 Colossians 1:24–29 1 John 4:1–3 Main Theme God speaks today as He always has—through His Word. The Holy Spirit does not add new revelation but teaches, reveals, and applies what God has already spoken in Scripture. Any claim of spiritual guidance must be tested against the written Word of God, which remains the final authority. Closing Encouragement  Believers are not called to chase experiences or private messages. They are called to trust the Word of God, test the spirits, and follow the Spirit’s leading through Scripture. The same Holy Spirit who inspired the Word now uses it to convict hearts, teach truth, and call sinners to salvation through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I now know, for a fact unfortunately, that xena has been sheltered her whole life to reality itself. Even the most common knowledge about anything is new to her... I've never cringed so much in my life 🤦

But...it was so basic and you didn't even get into the occult until the end. What about D.C(Pentagon, Washington Monument, Rotundra of capitol building, Isis above Capitol building, Masonic Order near White House, Street layout act..) or the Vatican. Lady Gaga, Pizzagate, Epstein Island, Obama, Rothschild??? *internal frustration* sigh..

According to the book of Enoch, the Leviathan is Female. And as for the Angel of the Bottomless pit, his name is Abaddon/Apollyon. Love these episodes! :)
