When I first found out I was expecting I was completely terrified. I thought my career was going to be completely derailed. Throughout the process I gained my confidence and went on to have an unmedicated birth and receive a promotion that same year. I am now pregnant with my second and walking in that same confidence. It has not been easy but I have found strength in the journey and I am the better for it. I would love to share my lows and the tools I used to get to where I am now. This was a very real, raw, detailed sharing of a marriage and birth story. I adore them. We took a deep dive into their birth story, and we took our time. I hope you will love their story as much as I do. I included a couple of photos and the “baby catch” video we talked about. Every story is worth sharing, we should be a village after all.Melany & Auston—Marine and Army Ranger veteran couple navigating the transition from military life, to marriage, to parenthood. - Tried for a home birth, midwives missed that my baby was breech, had an unplanned c-section- Incredible breastfeeding journey (SO thankful) that continues today, my daughter turned 2 - Realized when I was re-entering work and society that there was a major lack of nursing-access clothing that didn't *look* like nursingwear, I hated the chest zippers and extra flaps because I felt like they were obvious and distracting. - We prioritize natural fibers as a family, based on the research coming out of places like NIH and Mt. Sinai that connect synthetic fabrics with hormone disruption- Decided to build my own fashion brand that combined hormone-safe fabrics with nursing access dressesI'm the founder of Hone, hormone-safe apparel for postpartum moms in the nursing stage. Mother of four through a winding road of infertility, in-vitro, and adoption. After three rounds of IVF, had twins on the first round, two failed rounds after.Adopted two children—one at birth and one at 2½ years old.The adoption journey has been beautiful and brutally hard. Our son struggled deeply—multiple suicide attempts, didn’t finish traditional school, but earned his GED. After years of treatment, he’s now living on his own.I’ve learned this: no one’s bar is yours. Every child’s path is different.I don’t judge other parents anymore—you never know what’s going on behind closed doors.I’ve stayed close to my kids not through punishment, but through love, interest, and presence—piano for choir, volunteering in class, coaching sports, hosting dance dinners and teen hangouts. We worked and lived side-by-side—cooking, gardening, cleaning, and building businesses together. We made mistakes, but our goal was never just to raise good kids—it was to raise great adults. And we did.I own Living Well with Dr. Michelle Jorgensen, a large dental practice, run my social media, etc.FIND HER HERE:https://livingwellwithdrmichelle.comhttps://instagram.com/livingwellwithdrmichellehttps://www.tiktok.com/@livingwellwithdrmichelle

I was raised in a traditional Chinese family, where my mother was a stay-at-home parent. Witnessing her profound unhappiness, I made a vow to myself: I would never follow that path. This fueled my intense drive to pursue a higher education and build a demanding career. The shock came after we adopted our daughter and welcomed our son shortly thereafter. To my absolute surprise, I loved being with my children and yearned for more time with them. This realization triggered a massive identity crisis. Everything I had worked for—who I was, and who I was becoming—was suddenly in question. The decision to quit my job and become a full-time mother was incredibly difficult. As an international student, my career path had been anything but smooth. When my children arrived, I had finally achieved the dream career I had always wanted. Walking away from it felt impossible and, frankly, silly at the time. but I finally did and I wish I had done it sooner. Now I want to share my story and what I learned about this transition with other moms. - My child I went into labor in a Long Beach courthouse while waiting to be seen by the judge about my step-daughter. Mother would not allow us to continue. I had to drive four hours in LA traffic and barely made it back to Palm Springs before giving birth. My husband just made it within 20 minutes of the delivery.- The birth of my daughter was way different- My daughter's delivery was so traumatic for both of us. We both look beat up afterward - literally. It's a crazy story. Induction, after 24-hours, pushed for 3 hours, needed oxygen, traumatic C-section, and baby had huge hematoma and heart surgery.Professionally, I started a million-dollar preschool from my living room.I wrote a book and am writing my second book.Started a Podcast.FIND HER HERE:Website: https://www.jesssaying.netTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jessdanelX (Twitter): https://x.com/jessdanel Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jessdanel/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Jessicadanel3LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jessica-danel-mba-88970283/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@jessicadanel4240

I started with saying NO to having babies (with the guy I was married to). This took me down the fertility rabbit hole trying to figure out if I was going to be able to have a child one day, with the right person. Eventually, I met the right person, and worked to prep my body for a year before saying yes to getting pregnant - and we got pregnant on the first try. Pregnancy was easy & birth was not! From induction to flailing epidurals, it was 36 hours of labor before meeting our baby boy. He's now 7, and parenting is... fun, challenging, and exhausting -- especially while being a serial entrepreneur.I'm the CEO of Holistic Fertility Institute- training doctors who want to specialize in fertility, and supporting couples who want to conceive.
