Description

Actor/writer/producer Josh Cooke teams up with his sister Jessi Cooke to gush over their favorite movies from childhood, go off on tangents about everything from behind the scenes Hollywood stories to how one might like to be eaten by a shark, and indulge in that special sibling tradition of yelling at each other over past, present and future nonsense. It’s a podcast about the experience of loving movies; how your favorites become part of your life, and in some cases, define relationships.

So yeah it’s about all that, but by way of a stream of conscious bonanza.

Ahhhh nostalgia. Is there anything that makes you yearn for the good old days more than furry creatures battling awkward mummy land pirates? I think not. This 80's TV movie boasts *surprisingly* adept commentary about tyrannical nimrods. Also; should you punch a shark? Josh spills some tea about Dexter and rants about actors who complain that they have long days on set, while Jessi explores her obsession with tiny furry hands and grumpy old men. Tangents abound. Josh and Jessi discuss one of their all-time favorites, Neil Simon's 1967 classic comedy, Barefoot in the Park - a perfect introduction into the oddly Robert Redford-centric Cooke family movie library. Topics include how this movie inspired Josh to get into acting and his weird full-circle moment while on a zoom table read with Jane Fonda, how the Olympics should be run, movie comedies and how they don't make 'em like they used to and Jessi's special gift of being super awkward.
