Cornwall isn't the sort of place you associate with large scale drug imports from South America, IRA terrorists and murder. But in this episode of the UK True Crime podcast, we hear a story that involved all of these things. When detectives quizzed local farmer Ross Stone about cannabis being grown on his farm, they could never expected that he would reveal that two missing men - Brett Flournoy & David Griffiths were also buried there. But was he responsible for the killings?Back in January 2024, I covered this story, but today I have just heard that one of the key people in the story was found dead in their prison cell last month. In light of this latest development, I’ve decided to re-release this episode today.Buy My New True Crime Content Creators Online Coursehttps://adam-s-site-be58.thinkific.com/products/courses/true-crime-content-creation-courseWatch my YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosListen/Watch the True Crime Catch Uphttps://audioalways.lnk.to/TrueCrimeCatchUpFind Our More About Mehttps://uktruecrime.comJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime Hosted on Acast. When 17 year old Simon Everitt suddenly disappeared from near Great Yarmouth, concern quickly grew among those who knew him. But what began as a missing person case soon unravelled into something far darker. As the investigation continued, the disturbing truth emerged that Simon had been murdered by people within his own circle, and his body hidden in a remote rural location in Norfolk in an attempt to cover up the crime. This episode explores the betrayal at the heart of the case, the efforts to conceal the truth, and how police uncovered what really happened to Simon.Buy My New True Crime Content Creators Online Coursehttps://adam-s-site-be58.thinkific.com/products/courses/true-crime-content-creation-courseWatch my YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosListen/Watch the True Crime Catch Uphttps://audioalways.lnk.to/TrueCrimeCatchUpFind Our More About Mehttps://uktruecrime.comJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime Hosted on Acast. Jean Windridge lived near Birmingham and was always immaculate in her appearance, with a real fondness for flashy costume jewellery which led to her gaining the nicknames among friends of ‘Diamond Lil’ and ‘Goldfinger’. She didn't wear expensive pieces, but loved the jewellery that she wore. At 78, Jean had a busy social life and lots of friends, being known locally for her kindness and sense of community. So when she was found murdered in her own home after an afternoon party at the local church, nobody could understand why anyone would want to hurt Jean. In this episode of the UK True Crime Podcast I look at the circumstances surrounding the murder of Jean Windridge.I release episodes of the UK True Crime Podcast every Tuesday and Friday, so please do join me for the next episode on Tuesday.Buy My New True Crime Content Creators Online Coursehttps://adam-s-site-be58.thinkific.com/products/courses/true-crime-content-creation-courseWriting Credit: Chris WoodYou can buy Chris's second book, 'Death in the Theatre' here: https://www.amazon.com/Death-Theatre-Chris-Wood/dp/1399009117Watch my YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosListen/Watch the True Crime Catch Uphttps://audioalways.lnk.to/TrueCrimeCatchUpFind Our More About Mehttps://uktruecrime.comJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime Hosted on Acast. In this episode of the UK True Crime Podcast I delve into the criminal history of Paul Bint, a serial conman known as the “King Con.” Bint repeatedly posed as high-status figures, such as barristers and senior officials, to manipulate victims, often targeting women and gaining their trust before exploiting them financially. With hundreds of offences and multiple prison sentences, his story reveals how confidence fraud relies on charm, deception, and psychological manipulation rather than complex schemes. It is quite a story.I release episodes of the UK True Crime Podcast every Tuesday and Friday, so please do join me for the next episode on Tuesday.Buy My New True Crime Content Creators Online Coursehttps://adam-s-site-be58.thinkific.com/products/courses/true-crime-content-creation-courseWriting Credit: Chris WoodYou can buy Chris's second book, 'Death in the Theatre' here: https://www.amazon.com/Death-Theatre-Chris-Wood/dp/1399009117Watch my YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosListen/Watch the True Crime Catch Uphttps://audioalways.lnk.to/TrueCrimeCatchUpFind Our More About Mehttps://uktruecrime.comJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime Hosted on Acast. Armed, masked and highly organised, they spread fear among staff and communities whilst evading capture time and time again. In this episode of the UK True Crime Podcast, I look at two tragic cases where a normal night out at the pub, ended in devastating violence over minor issues. The killings of Jake Kemp and Liam Dent, both of whom lost their lives to total strangers, show how quickly situations can spiral out of control. I look at the events leading up to each killing, what happened on the night of the attacks, and the consequences faced by those responsible.Listen to TotalCrime, the new podcast from top crime journalist Chris Summershttps://open.spotify.com/show/6Pnf4kJ9keN0gpHzyK9E8KBuy My New True Crime Content Creators Online Coursehttps://adam-s-site-be58.thinkific.com/products/courses/true-crime-content-creation-courseWatch my YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosListen/Watch the True Crime Catch Uphttps://audioalways.lnk.to/TrueCrimeCatchUpFind Our More About Mehttps://uktruecrime.comJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime Hosted on Acast. The story this week is from South Wales and is as shocking a story as I have ever brought to you on the UK True Crime Podcast. In this special episode, I revisit the murder of Vicky Hall in Felixstowe in 1999.Today, serial killer Steve Wright was sentenced for Vicky’s murder, his sixth known killing. I break down the developments from court at the sentencing hearing, reflect on the police investigation and its unanswered questions, explore why Wright may have chosen to confess after so many years, and consider what this case means for the possibility of further undiscovered victims.Join me at TrueCrimeFest in London in Marchhttps://www.truecrimefest.co.uk/Buy My New True Crime Content Creators Online Coursehttps://adam-s-site-be58.thinkific.com/products/courses/true-crime-content-creation-courseWatch my YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosListen/Watch the True Crime Catch Uphttps://audioalways.lnk.to/TrueCrimeCatchUpFind Our More About Mehttps://uktruecrime.comJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime Hosted on Acast. I used to live in Greenock. I'm still not far from there. I remember this very well. There should have been harsher charges and harsher sentences. Whether she died in prison or not, it does not account for the damage and despair she caused the poor families and friends involved. I can tell you though that the policing is awful here. They're a gang of their own and take advantage of vulnerable families. Thanks for this upload..
