What does it really look like to be married, in ministry, and led by the Spirit — all at the same time? This week, Pastor Dolapo and Pastor Temi Lawal join us for a powerful conversation on balancing marriage and calling, navigating the balance between the letter and the Spirit, and stewarding the prophetic with wisdom and humility. Pastor Temi also shares what it’s like to carry multiple roles — wife, mom, pastor, and full-time professional — without losing intimacy with God.If you’re building family and ministry simultaneously, this one is for you.Welcome Home!
Hey family! In this episode we address the phenomenon of legalism and how it's easy to fall into that as we walk with the Lord. We discuss the goal of obeying God from a place of love as opposed to obeying God to be loved. We hope that this brings freedom and rest in the Lord. Welcome Home!
Hey family! Happy New Year and welcome back! As we step into a new year, we’re welcoming you back with an honest conversation about hope after hardship. Though we believe the sun is rising again, seasons of trial can leave behind questions, disappointment, and wounds we don’t always talk about. In this episode, we reflect on what the night revealed, how it shaped our faith, and why the Lord still calls us to hold expectation for His promises — even when joy feels distant. If you’ve been learning how to trust God again, this conversation is for you. We pray this episode reminds you that joy truly does come in the morning — and that you are never walking alone. Welcome home!
We’re closing out the first half of the season with the most important conversation of all: the Gospel. Too often we get caught up in opinions, culture, or even church traditions—but what is the good news at its core? Why does it matter, and how should it transform our lives? In this episode, we strip it back to the foundation of our faith: Jesus, His sacrifice, and the hope that only comes through Him. Whether you’ve heard the Gospel a thousand times or you’re hearing it fresh, this reminder never gets old. Welcome Home!
We’re back with part two of our series with Dallas and Natalie Marley! In this episode, we dive into what it truly looks like to have faith in uncertainty. Dallas and Natalie share how trusting the Lord in difficult seasons has led them all the way to Ecuador—specifically to the red-light district—where they are now on the frontlines of mission work. It’s a powerful conversation about obedience, courage, and choosing to follow God even when the path doesn’t make sense. You don’t want to miss this one. Welcome Home!
This week marks a first for us—our very first podcast guests! We had the honor of sitting down with Dallas and Natalie Marley. Back in college, Dallas was a mentor to me, and together with his wife, they became like family to Bernice and me as we were dating. In this episode, you’ll get to know their story as we kick off a three-part series where they open up about coming to the Lord, navigating seasons of uncertainty, and stepping out in faith as missionaries in Ecuador. This first conversation is all about introductions, friendship, and the foundation that shaped their journey. Welcome Home!
Let’s talk about it… This week, we’re diving into one of the most debated topics in the church today—gender roles. What does the Bible actually say? How do we separate cultural traditions from God’s design? And what does living this out look like in our modern world? We’re unpacking scripture, sharing our own experiences, and tackling the hard questions with grace and truth. Welcome Home!
Family, can we get real for a second? This week, we’re talking about something every believer faces but few talk about—wrestling with God. Those seasons where you’re questioning, doubting, and asking the hard “why do I even believe this?” kind of questions. We dig into why that tension isn’t something to fear but can actually lead to a deeper, more unshakable faith. If you’ve ever felt like you were fighting for your faith, this episode is for you. Welcome Home!
What’s good family?! This week we’re diving into a real tension we all face — the pull between logic and feelings. As believers, when do we lean on what makes sense… and when do we trust what we feel? We’re unpacking how faith fits into that tension and how to make sure neither our head nor our heart is steering us away from God’s truth. Welcome Home!
What’s good family?! This week’s episode is a necessary one. As believers, we sometimes get so caught up in the charisma of people that we forget the character of God. We talk about what happens when we elevate pastors, prophets, or platforms above the Word—and how dangerous that can be for our walk. If you've ever found yourself blindly following someone because they "sounded" anointed, this one’s for you. Let's get back to the feet of Jesus. Welcome Home!
What’s good family?! This week we’re diving into something real. We're talking about what it means to show up authentically before God—even when it’s messy, uncomfortable, or flat-out ugly. Can you really be honest with the Lord when you're doubting, angry, or just not feeling it? Spoiler: yes. And He’s still Abba through it all. Join us as we unpack the beauty of raw honesty and how God meets us in our most vulnerable moments. Welcome Home!
Welcome back family! Hope y'all have had a fantastic week! In this week's episode we talk about the situations we are presented as believers to compromise our witness through an opportunity that Bernice received centered around Beyonce. We also address what scripture has been clear about with regards to the end times, and we give our take on the difference between resting in the Lord versus just being lazy. Tune in to get all the insight as we explore what the Lord is teaching us! Welcome Home!
WHAT IS GOOD FAMILY??? It has been too long. We are back and excited for this new season of the podcast! Catch up with us as we detail where we've been, what ever happened to our youtube aspirations, and what we think about some conflict that's been happening in the church lately! Been a long time but it's so good to say, Welcome Home!
Welcome everyone! The time has finally arrived! The season one finale of the Welcome Home Podcast. We've been through many highs and lows in this first season. However, this podcast has been a testament of our faith in the Lord and belief in what he has in store for us! We are extremely humbled, and grateful for everyone that has tuned in throughout the first season and grown with us! We are super excited for what is coming next and can not wait to catch you all up at the start of season two! We hope you are blessed by the episode and for the last time in season one...Welcome Home!
Welcome everyone! As we near the season finale we figured what better way to start it off than give insight to how we met! Journey back with us and find out how we started! We hope you all are blessed! Welcome home!
Welcome everyone! In this episode you'll find Bernice and I in an unusual location as we record this week's podcast episode. This is as a result of God answering a prayer from last year. We use this as an opportunity to simply thank everyone that has tuned into season one of the podcast, left comments (both positive and negative lol) and just supported us in one way or another. Outside of God almighty, we wouldn't be in the position we are if it wasn't for everyone tuning in the way you all have! Once again, thank you! We hope you are blessed by this episode! Welcome home!
Welcome everyone! In this week's episode we address the reality of reconciliation. We acknowledge the truth behind the statement "Forgive & Forget" as well as highlight the heart that the christian should have when it comes to reconciling. We point to how Christ's whole ministry was centered around reconciling us back to God, and so therefore we have the responsibility as believers to reconcile as much as possible with those that have offended us, or that we have offended. We hope you all are blessed by this episode! Welcome home.
Welcome everyone! In this week's episode we address what we believe to be an epidemic in the faith today, and that is "men and women of God" that perform miracles and prophesy being revered more than the word of God and its standards. We acknowledge the gifts that these tools are to the faith and how they should be seen from the stance of the believer. We hope you all are blessed by this episode! Welcome home.
Welcome everyone! In this episode we ask the infamous question, "If God is so good, why do bad things happen to good people?". This question is rooted in misunderstanding, disappointment, or hurt; and a lot of times a combination of all three. We explore the definition of the word "Good" and come to an understanding on why bad things do happen to "good" people. We hope you all are blessed by this episode! Welcome home.
Welcome everyone! In this episode we discuss question that's been asked in more recent church culture, "Is Church Hurt Real?". We acknowledge who the church is, and ultimately if someone can be hurt by the church of God. We highlight the truth that is the Lord cares, and knows about all that pertains to his children, and he loves you dearly. We hope you all are blessed by this episode! Welcome home.
