In this episode of The David Greene Show: Real Talk Real Estate, David Greene sits down with real estate investor, entrepreneur, and financial coach Devon Jarvis (DJ) for a real, grounded conversation about military discipline, money, and financial freedom. After meeting at BPCON, Devon shares his nearly 20-year journey in the U.S. Air Force, starting with enlisting out of high school, commissioning through ROTC, and eventually flying unmanned attack aircraft, including the confidence-building moment of his first solo flight. He explains how becoming a parent pushed him into financial coaching and shaped his belief that mindset is the true starting point for building wealth. When the Fed announced rates would be dropping 25 BPS last meeting, the announcement dominated headlines. On today’s show, David interviews David and Morgan Stanhope, a NY couple who started buying RE during covid in New York, and never looked back. With little more than advice from David and Brandon on Biggerpockets about what to look for and what to buy, they found their first 1% rule property on the MLS using a realtor!
