Allen had 107 yards on ten attempts, just at halftime. Singleton chipped in 81 yards and a record-setting score of his own. However, the defense struggled to stop a feisty Rutgers offense that played its RPO game well to threaten Penn State on the edges of the tackle box and in one-on-one coverage. The Scarlet Knights scored 21 points in the first half to keep the game within three.Yet young quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer operated an impressive scoring drive right before halftime. The Penn State offense ripped off two big passes to go 56 yards in just 26 seconds to kick a field goal and take a lead at halftime before receiving the ball after the break. The Penn State defense struggled for most of the game but came up with two timely plays, a fumble return for a touchdown by Amare Campbell, and a stop on fourth down by Zion Tracy to give Penn State the ball back with under four minutes remaining. Allen then salted the game away with a 47-yard run.Lions head into the postseasonBefore the season is officially over, be sure to check out the rest of our Penn State Football postgame content. Penn State's dynamic duo of Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton combined for 157 yards through three quarters, and Allen broke the all-time rushing record at home on senior day to power the win. Singleton also tied Saquon Barkley's total touchdown record with two touchdowns in the game. Meanwhile, the Penn State defense made timely stops in the game to help the offense jump out ot a blistering start. The defense gave up a 70-yard drive, but went for it on 4th and 1 from inside the five, but got stopped by Amare Campbell and Zane Durant. The Huskers had another chance to get points, driving into the red zone, but had to settle for a field goal. That put Nebraska within seven points, which was the last time they were within one score the rest of the game. More postgame coverageBe sure to stick around for the rest of Blue White Illustrated's postgame coverage. However, starting quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer had an uneven game, so the team relied on starting running backs Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton. The duo combined for over 35 touches in the game and over 100 yards. However, the story of the game was the Penn State defensive line. Defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton had a strong performance with two sacks and a QB hit to keep the Michigan State offense at bay while Penn State's offense struggled through a third-quarter slump. Penn State finally put distance between itself and Michigan State in the fourth quarter to get the win. More Postgame content Of course, we've got more coverage for you after the game beyond the postgame show. Reporter Greg Pickel is on site in East Lansing to give you his Instant Analysis after the game. He'll discuss his view of the win and what he thinks of the team's performance from this afternoon. Of course, we'll also have Terry Smith's postgame comments after the game on the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel. Hear what Smith thinks of his team's latest performance and how he thinks critical moments played out.  Senior Week against NebraskaNext week is Penn State's final home game of the 2025 season. The team will host Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday for Senior Day at Beaver Stadium. Can Terry Smith get a home win in Happy Valley before his interim head coaching stint wraps up? We'll discuss that this week coming up on the site and the YouTube Channel. Penn State GRINDS out a win over Michigan State | BWI Postgame Show#PennState  #NittanyLions  JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annualSUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmationBookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters:  https://bluewhiteonline.com Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The record for wins in a row is 76, and head coach Cael Sanderson's team continues its pursuit of that mark against the Sooners.Roger Kish enters his third season as the Oklahoma head coach. As Sanderson notes, the Sooners had plenty of success in the transfer portal this offseason. Two of the newcomers, Rafael Hipolito (from Virginia Tech) and Peyten Kellar (Ohio) are top 20 portal additions, per InterMat. They wrestle in the 157- and 165-pound weight classes, respectively.Besides those two, who are Nos. 7 and 17 in their respective weight class rankings, per InterMat, Oklahoma also added expected starter Tyson Carmoli from Wyoming at 133, two-time NCAA qualifier Tyler Wells at 141 from Minnesota, Jack Gioffre from Virginia at 149, and senior Brian Soldano from Rutgers at 184 pounds.#PennState  #NittanyLions  JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annualSUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmationBookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters:  https://bluewhiteonline.com Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Today on the BWI Live Recruiting Show, we'll discuss how those three weeks are also critical for the team's recruiting efforts heading into the early signing period in December. How will Penn State navigate this weekend and beyond? We'll discuss all of that and share our thoughts on today's practice viewing session on the show. Join us live at 10 a.m. on YouTube to discuss your thoughts as well! We'll be taking your questions and comments throughout the show to see what's on your mind this week. Penn State practice update and recruiting news Penn State held open practice on Wednesday evening in a truncated fashion. We'll spend a few minutes discussing what we saw in the two-period open viewing session for the media. What did we see? Tune in to find out. Next, we'll dig into the latest recruiting news for the program. More player are flipping or opening up their commitments. We'll review the latest players to choose other programs and discuss the fallout of what the 2026 recruiting situation is for Penn State heading into the early signing period. Of course, the team hosted recruits last week against Indiana. Were they able to get critical players to join them on campus for the near-upset victory over Indiana? Reporter Ryan Snyder will discuss how commit Marlen Bright made it back to campus and the significance of his presence to the class. From there, he'll discuss notable names who joined Bright. Penn State vs Michigan State Preview Finally, we'll discuss the upcoming game against Michigan State. Can Penn State finally get a Big Ten win in a season of agonizing defeats? We'll discuss where Penn State can take advantage of the Spartans and how we see this game playing out between the lines. The biggest wildcard for the Nittany Lions is that there's uncertainty about how Michigan State will play at quarterback. Backup Alessio Milivojevic gave the team a spark and nearly upset Minnesota in the team's Nov. 1, 23-20 loss. Milivojevic completed 71% of his passes for 311 yards in the back-and-forth affair. Yet starter Aidan Chiles is athletic and dangerous with the ball in his hands. He has 255 yards on designed runs this year and another 157 scrambling. QB containment has been the Achilles Heel of the Penn State defense, so which player will see the field this weekend? Join the show to hear our discussion on that, and more! #PennState  #NittanyLions  JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annualSUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmationBookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters:  https://bluewhiteonline.com Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3Penn State vs Michigan State Preview: Can Lions Finally Win a Big Ten Game? | Recruiting Flips Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Penn State has not dropped consecutive games to the top two teams in the country in as many weeks. The team is now on an unprecedented six-game losing streak and is winless in conference play. Discuss the loss and the rest of the season on the Blue White Illustrated LaBatt Postgame Show. We'll break down what happened during the game and how Penn State failed to execute in crunch time when it mattered most. We'll also be taking your questions throughout the hour-long show. It's also a great time to subscribe to the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel and Blue White Illustrated. Penn State is coming down the home stretch of the college football season and will name a new head coach in the next few months. Penn State keeps it close at halftime The Penn State defense showed up in a much better way to start the game against the Hoosiers. The team allowed 17 points at halftime, but seven came on a short field, thanks to a fumble by starting running back Kaytron Allen during the two-minute drive before halftime. Defensive coordiantor Jim Knowles came out aggressive, collecting six tackles for loss in the first half thanks to run blitzes and pressure. However, the team's issues with stopping the quarterback run still lingered and allowed Indiana to convert too many third downs. Fernando Mendoza collected 30 yards and a touchdown on four rushing attempts, which also included a first-half sack and loss of yardage. Penn State offense shows some life Despite not getting many quality looks and attempts, starting quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer showed poise on Saturday, completing nine of 11 passing attempts for 90 yards, including a 43-yard strike to Trebor Pena, who broke a tackle and got an explosive play with yards after the catch. However, Penn State tried to throw into the teeth of the Indiana defense too much, and only mounted two drives of more than four plays in the first half. Penn State roared back in the second half and took a 24-20 lead with two minutes left in the game. However, the team punted with two minutes left in the game, and Indiana marched down the field to get the go-ahead score and win. More postgame show coverageAfter the Postgame show, join interim head coach Terry Smith for his post game press conference on the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel as he gives his thoughts on the game.
