I'm excited to be posting this BONUS content - an interview with film historian Gary D. Rhodes. FLASHBACKWe're looking back at October 5, 2011 this week and an interview with Valerius Geist (February 2, 1938 – July 6, 2021) about the myths and reality of wolves. How dangerous are they? There's complexity and nuance here. Some people fiercely believe wolves are just peaceful misunderstood beautiful animals that would not hurt a person. Others believe they're fierce and dangerous predators. Internet debates will happen but history - and Valerius Geist - suggest using extreme caution if you find yourself in close proximity to these beautiful predators in the wild. MonsterTalk Live (Disco Edition)----FLASHBACK----ON NOVEMBER 8, 2005 Canadian geological engineering student Kenton Carnegie went for a walk. He told people that he’d be back by 5 pm. When he hadn’t returned by 7 pm, a search party went out and discovered his remains in the woods. In this episode of Monstertalk (a follow-up to last week’s), we interview professor Valerius Geist about the true cause of Kenton Carnegie’s death. Some people thought he was killed by a bear, but more likely he was killed by a myth.Todd Svarckopf confronting a habituated wolf, four days before the Kenton Joel Carnegie wolf attack. Great show.
This was such a missed opportunity to discuss the psychology behind the show and the mass outrage from people who were "tricked". Instead, we got a vague rundown in which one host seems so uninterested that he has to be repeatedly prompted to contribute to the conversation. Deeply disappointing.
Damn it! Another intriguing podcast bites the dust. I subscribed to your podcast after I heard you as a guest on another one in this category, and today was the day I went to one of your episodes to give it a listen and then... the male host mentioned that one of his family members did not have C0Vid. I am unsubscribing based on any host or contributor on here acknowledging the C-word as a legitimate spooky scary thing!
Great conversation. Such interesting history. Loved listening to this guest.
that giant pig movie is susper anti gmo. i wouldn't call it great. it's anti science
this lady doesn't believe in science
All hail hypnotoad
sound quality is abysmal. also too much uninteresting host chat going on.
spooky man
I was enjoying this show until I started listening to the second episode and was blown away by the lack of knowledge about the subject being discussed. The PGF isn't "blurry" or "grainy" if you're looking at the actual film and not a digitized copy with extra (computer-generated, fake) frames. I don't have the patience to dissect all the errors made with regard to the film itself in your overview of it, much less listen to the rest of the episode, and unfortunately, any more of this show.
the 5
listen all the way to the end...it's worth it!
Very Sad to listen to two uninformed hosts. You lost another subscrider.
this podcast sucks really bad too much babbel unsubscribed
nice
I wish he didn't keep messing up the pronunciation of the name Crowley. lol. He says it like you'd say crow.
Blake, love that you added Sh*tty Flute in the intro! LOL
I live in Jamestown, NY near the Seneca Indian Reservation. I love the Seneca Nation & their traditions. There is a Seneca School in Onoville/Steamburg on the Reservation. We camp at Allegheny State Park 4-5 times a year & love the outdoors. The Museum is beautiful and the area is as well. I love Western NY!! It's gorgeous!!
this is shit! where are the monsters?
My new favorite podcast!
