Jarrod Morris is opening the NFR at the Thomas & Mack on December 5 — and he’s bringing his full Rodeo Rock sound to the biggest stage in rodeo. Before he hits Vegas, he sat down with Luke for a conversation packed with music, grit, and the real stories behind his journey.
Texas musician Jarrod Morris breaks down his path from farrier to full-time artist, why barrel racers call him a “pixie dancer,” and how shoeing horses actually fuels his songwriting. He talks about getting “holed up” in his dorm after wrecking his car — the moment that pushed him deeper into music — and why hyper-specific lyrics end up connecting with so many people.
They dive into his new album Day Money, the punk-leaning cover of “Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old),” and the high-energy track “Kick Rocks,” which he’s performing live when he opens the NFR. Jarrod also shares how he landed both his Dec 5 NFR performance and his Westgate show on Dec 12, thanks to Bo Gardner and a little help from Chancey Williams.

Four-time world champion Hailey Kinsel is back — and Luke does what Luke does best: drags her out to the Branquinho Arena for a little “friendly” NFR prep, a little coaching, and even more goofing off!
Between the in-studio sit-down and arena time, they fine-tune her first barrel, laugh about the “Facebook warriors” who claim she blows past it, and talk through the real work that goes into sharpening up before Vegas.
Hailey arrives at the 2025 NFR aiming for her fifth world title, coming off a season where Hailey's legendary horse, Sister, returned from last year’s NFR hamstring injury and placed at 20 out of 21 rodeos. She breaks down how she brought Sister back slowly, starting the winter on Spider and Reese, and how horses like Libby are being seasoned in high-pressure pens for the future.
They also talk about Hailey’s fast-growing Youth Barrel Race, which expanded from a massive one-day event to a two-day blowout this year, with hundreds of runs, big-name sponsors, and tons of prizes. Hailey shares why being available to help riders — the way Luke once helped her — is something she’ll never take lightly.
It’s real friendship, real coaching, and real prep for rodeo’s biggest stage... with plenty of laughs in between!

Luke Branquinho sits down with 23-time World Champion Jackie Crawford, one of our FAVORITE returning guests, who’s having another standout year and dominating the arena with her trademark grit and precision!
In 2025, Jackie became the first roper in WPRA history to surpass $1 million in career earnings, added another WPRA Team Roping Header World Championship, and continues to post strong results across multiple events — proving yet again why she’s one of the most accomplished competitors in rodeo.
Luke and Jackie dig into the mental game, staying sharp through a long season, and what fuels her competitive drive. They even joke about the idea of a “soft retirement”… and how her current run makes that pretty hard to believe.
Whether you rope, ride, or love hearing from true champions, this conversation brings insight, honesty, and that signature Jackie-Crawford toughness.
