He died 17 days later, after prosecutors said Kouri Richins spiked his cocktail with a fatal dose of fentanyl. Kouri Richins pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
Richins wrote a children's book about loss after Eric Richins died in 2022 and has proclaimed her innocence since she was charged with murder.
