Leland Chapman was introduced to Relatively Famous through Kimber Eastwood Midkiff (SO1 Ep21 of Relatively Famous) daughter of Clint Eastwood. Guess you could say there’s Bounty Hunter theme there, Clint “A Few Dollars More” – “Joe Kidd” and Leland “Dog the Bounty Hunter”. OK, so that was only funny to me… Leland is the son of legendary bounty hunter and reality tv star Duane Chapman aka Dog the Bounty Hunter. Leland began working with his dad in the bounty hunting business at the very young age of 7 or 8. Leland would knock on the door pretending he was the paperboy, kind of like bait for the wanted person to open the door. As a teenager Leland was on the path that leads to time behind bars or six feet under when his family moved to Hawaii and his life changed forever. The beauty and peace of Hawaii gave Leland time to reflect on his choices, and set him on a career path he loves with a passion. Staring on “Dog The Bounty Hunter” with his father sent his life into a whole new direction. Fame and recognition which as a bounty hunter is not always what you need. Leland talks about how tv fame has changed his bounty hunting style and how it has also helped. Today Leland runs his own Bail Bonding company and bounty hunts out of Alabama. His goal is to have his own show produced by Kimber Eastwood, help others change their life path and leave the world a better place. https://www.instagram.com/lelandbchapman/?hl=enhttps://x.com/lelandbchapman?lang=en https://www.instagram.com/lelandbchapman/?hl=enhttps://x.com/lelandbchapman?lang=en https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFYR-0W0LJk&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZIs7QXBzwY&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous I met Kate at Podfest Multimedia Expo 2025 where she and John were the Keynote Speakers. They are not only husband and wife but together run the extremely successful eonfire (Entrepreneurs on Fire) podcast. Kate runs the day to business of eonfire while John is busy as host the podcast. She is not only a very successful and accomplished business woman, she is a mother to their child Bo. Kate is learning and sharing with others the balance of raising a child, living life to its fullest, taking time for family and expanding the business. She and John have inspired and coached so many podcasters, including me, into creating and having successful podcast. Kate absolutely rocks and she tells a great story. https://www.eofire.com/ https://www.youtube.com/@MicroStrategyToday https://katestake.libsyn.com/2018/05

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBy6zwvjKbU&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous This episode’s guest, Kimberly Butler McMillan, I met way back when the short film, A Chess Player that I produced, was screening in the Beaufort International Film Festival. However it wasn’t until years later that she told me about her father, a well known Canadian singer songwriter. As the podcast grew and I was thinking of guest I Googled her father, Marty Butler and listened to his music. Well, his daughter Kimberly has a great story of blended families, pharmaceutical sales, single motherhood, real-estate, a new home and a deep love for her father, his music and songs, including Fly Little White Dove Fly that he wrote for The Bells. Marty also gave piano lessons to Anne Murray. Marty’s death from Aids in 1996 lead Kimberley on the journey to become deeply involved in Aids charity work. #Trinilopez #thescptres  https://vimeo.com/88444233/307d951b52 https://www.beaufortfilmfestival.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKmC5wT7QMs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIVlW3TAj9g   https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video;_ylt=AwrFapqoiuhmXisU8YRXNyoA;_ylu=Y29sbwNiZjEEcG9zAzEEdnRpZAMEc2VjA3Nj?p=marty+butler+singer&fr=aaplw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhV4sflJrXc John Putch, like Dutch, is the son of film and tv star Jean Stapleton of “All in the Family” fame. John is an actor, director and film producer. In this episode John loves to talk about his mom, but we get him to tell us about being a child actor, life in community theater, films and tv shows he’s directed and produced. Oh and the famous photo of his mom with Alice Cooper.
https://youtu.be/qtRq6S7iC7Q It’s 1987, MTV Whitesnake music video of David Coverdale, big flowing blond hair singing “Here I Go Again” while Tawny Kitaen vamps on the hoods of 2 Jaguar XJs… MTV and Whitesnake at its peak, that is a Rock & Roll memory of a lifetime. Well on this episode I have an incredible conversation with Jasper Coverdale, son of David Coverdale. When his dad announced his retirement in 2025, I saw Jasper posting on social media about how proud he was of his dad and his long music career. Make no mistake David Coverdale retired from a long successful Rock & Roll career. Google him. So what is it like standing in the wings watching 10s of thousands of fans scream and sing along with your dad? How do you as the son choose a career and make your own path when your father is a worldwide rock star? Those were some of my thoughts and questions I had as we talked. We connected through social media because Jasper actually responded to a DM. I say that because sooooo many people (relatives) I reach out to through social media just ignore me. Jasper and I exchanged a few messages, had a phone call and locked in a recording date. Now, BAM you’re here to hear Jasper’s story. Jasper is an actor, he’s not just a rock star’s son calling himself an actor, and a writer, he studies and hones his craft for stage, film and tv. He takes both acting and writing very seriously. He has also had the opportunity to sing onstage with his father before 10,000 people. A feeling he cherishes to this day. Most of all, Jasper does not take his life and the experiences he’s been able to have with a grain of salt. He is a blast to talk with, articulate, funny and ready to make his on sunshine under the Coverdale name. https://www.instagram.com/jasper_coverdale #deeppurple #whitesnake #tawny #davidcoverdale #rock&roll #rockandroll #hairband #tahoe
https://youtu.be/fMM2HI82cFI We were introduced to Julie Rogers Pomilia, the granddaughter of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, by past guest Cindy Mitchum Azbill, the niece of actor Robert Mitchum. It’s so cool when a guest will call a friend and tell them about the podcast and suggest they come on. Why was I double happy about Julie coming on the podcast? One, she is a recommendation and two, I was the kid at Christmas that wanted Santa to bring me the fancy Roy Rogers cowboy outfit. It had to have either a red or blue shirt with white or black fringe, Roy Rogers gloves with fringe and RR branding, big cowboy hat and a two gun holster. I would tuck the fancy fringed pants into my shiny boots and pretend I was a famous cowboy like Roy Rogers with a horse as beautiful as Trigger. I did not however pretend to be a singing cowboy, because as my wife says, I am NOT known for my singing. With Julie, I find talking to grandchildren a treat, because they have 2 generations of tales to tell. And Julie has some fascinating stories about the Rogers / Evans household and life with famous grandparents. She recounts many of these in her book “Your heroes My Grandparents”. The Rogers were and still are a large close family. They are a blended family and include many adopted children. Roy and Dale were very open and advocates of special needs children because their daughter Robin was born with Down Syndrome. They did not shy away for making sure she was seen and a vibrant part of the family even though she died just shy of her 2nd birthday. Julie has taught elementary school for over 30 years, has a talent for calligraphy, loves her palomino horses and like her grandparents, she too has a large family of her own. We talked about the values that Roy and Dale personified not only on screen, but carried them into daily life. How the western movies went from the good guys win without killing the bad guys, to how the bad guy good guy line has blurred in western films over the years. Julie has lived a fantastic life stepping in and out of the Hollywood spotlight. She is always doing what she can to keep Roy & Dale and the human values they exemplified relevant in a changing world. She has the joy of having had loving grandparents who made sure all the children in their lives enjoyed the ranch, the horses, the limelight and personal one on one time. Julie, thank you for your time and amazing conversation. I am going to borrow your grandfather’s famous signature signoff – “Happy trails to you, Until we meet again. Happy trails to you, Keep smiling until then.” https://julierogerspomilia.com #royrogers #daleevens #trigger #palominohoreses #happytrails #westernmovies #singingcowboy #tvwesterns
https://youtu.be/H21ZBt-V2yc Randall Morris played five seasons in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions. Like our past guest Craig Colquitt, Randall also played for The University of Tennessee. I met Randall’s nephew Will Neva at Podfest Expo 2026 in a roundabout conversation. He was sitting there in his Chef coat (because of his podcast) waiting on his Uber while I was chatting with another potential Relatively Famous guest. During that conversation and because it was Podfest, where everyone just talks to everyone within earshot, Will heard that I was Vanna’s brother. That opened the door for him to tell us, “I’m a comedian and I just wrote some new Vanna White material.” Will did the bit for Micheal Yonkura and I. His material was funny so jokingly I gave him the White Family seal of approval, not that he needed it, we just thought it would add to the humor of the story. Turns out Will is the nephew of a former Seattle Seahawk and has a cool life story to tell. He’s a personal chef, a comedian, writer and podcast host. He was also part of the 1994-95 classes from Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach that inspired the film “Freedom Writers” starring Hilary Swank. In honor of the Seattle Seahawks winning the 2026 Super Bowl let’s have a conversation with Will Neva about his life and his time with his Uncle Randall Morris of the 1984-88 Seahawks. #freedomwriters #comedian #longbeach #Podfest2026 #superbowl #seahawks #Vols #UofTennessee https://www.tiktok.com/@friedlaughs?_r=1&_t=ZT-93ME12fylqAhttps://www.instagram.com/comedian_will_nave/https://randallmorrisfoundation.org/
https://youtu.be/NqkNsjeYWnM Cindy Mitchum Azbill’s uncle is the Academy Award Nominee for Best Supporting Actor, Robert Mitchum. Her dad John Mitchum, Robert’s brother, was a well-established character actor and Grammy nominated musician. Cindy kind of has the double whammy on this one. Cindy shares stories of the bond The Mitchum Brothers shared, funny and amazing tales of their childhood. Like riding the rails (hoboing) to get to their mother in California as young teenagers. Working together on a film and how her dad John was actually in more films and tv shows than Robert. She talks of meeting so many film and tv stars because of her dad’s prolific acting career that sometimes she didn’t even know they were famous. How her father became a Grammy Nominee and what she is doing to bring his spoken word LPs to life with film. She has an amazing list of actors wanting to participate in this project out of love and respect for the Mitchum Family. Cindy has worked tirelessly for years to secure all the rights to the photos in her father’s memoir “Them Ornery Mitchum Boys” so that she could reprint and release the book to the public. Links to purchase can be found below the show notes. Like so many of the conversations I have on the podcast, there is so much of her life in Hollywood that we didn’t cover, BUT the stories we did hit on and her path through life that we did cover are fascinating and truly from her heart. What a life her Uncle Bob (Robert Mitchum) and dad John lived, both as children and Hollywood Stars. Find “Those Ornery Mitchum Boy” on Amazon and Barnes & Noble! https://youtu.be/MxemT4kg_Bg Billy Mays III sets the record straight about the catchphrase “but wait there’s more” and his father, the legendary pitchman “Hi, Billy Mays here”. Heck I even used “but wait there’s more” my cold open… Find out what his famous catchphrase really was and why he used it on this episode of Relatively Famous. Pitchman Billy Mays died way too young and at the height of his career. Billy Mays was king of sales when tv infomercials were how new products broke into the mainstream public. Pitchmen were influencers before it was a thing and Billy Mays was the mid 1990s to 2009 top salesman. He even starred in the Discovery Channel show, Pitchmen. Billy III grew up mostly with his mom as his parents divorced when he was young. At the time his father was traveling full time doing trade shows on the road trying to build his brand and hone his salesmanship. When Billy Mays landed the gig at Home Shopping Network and started doing tv infomercials it allowed more time to get to know his son. Billy III shares those times together, and how he began to learn so much from his dad. We talk about when he realized his dad was a pop culture icon, about how his dad was instrumental in helping him pursue music. I ask if perhaps there is a career in the footsteps of his father? We talk about how music helped him grieve and be at peace with his father’s death and the invasive publicity surrounding his father’s death. I discovered that it’s one thing to be the brother of an American Pop Icon, but to be the son of a Pop Culture Pitchman is another thing. So, to quote the OG infomercial pitchman and mentor of Billy’s, Ronco legend Ron Popeil, “Wait there’s more”… Oh, and check out the photo on the website of the cool Billy Mays and Infinite Third stickers Billy III sent me. I promise you’ll be intrigued by my conversation with Billy Mays III son of Billy Mays! https://campsite.bio/billymays https://infinitethird.com
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ebe5PxW0JuE I was set to meet Robert for the time after a Stryper show in Charlotte, NC on May 11th, 2022 but Covid was still poking around so Meet & Greets were not happening. Well, come August 2023 I now live in San Antonio and Stryper is playing an outdoor show with Vixen as the opening act. A few texts to Michael and Perry and I’ve scored tickets and passes to hang with the band. The night before the show I went to the hotel to pick up Perry for a night of cigars and catching up on life and Myrtle Beach memories. Before we left to go indulge, the band was in the lobby heading to dinner and stroll down the River Walk. While Perry confirmed Micheal wasn’t coming I chatted with Robert and Oz real quick. Even had a few moments again the next night at the pre-show Meet and Greet. Hard to have a full interview or really get to know someone at a band M & G. I tell this tale because when Robert I linked up for the podcast interview it was the most he and I had ever talked. To be upfront I did interview Micheal for his episode before I chatted with Robert thus I refer back to Micheal’s episode for certain questions. Music has always been a big part of my life and as a teen reading the LP liner notes with band bios, lyrics and song info was a must. That is how we learned about the musicians in our favorite bands. Drummers and bass players were members I liked to learn about, even though I can’t play either instrument. Robert is an amazing drummer. I would say in the Rock & Roll world Robert is way overlooked for his talent and contributions to Rock & Roll. Perhaps because of the fact Stryper is a Christian rock band mainstream music media outlets shy away. Drumming live on stage during a Stryper concert, Robert has so much energy and style it’s difficult to stop watching to see what the rest of the band is doing. I love that he sets his kit up sideways so the audience can see him playing. As a person who struggles with faith and religion, my conversations with Robert and Micheal were very open and thought provoking. Like Stryper polarizes rock fans I’m sure Micheal and Robert will turn away some of our listeners. Which would be sad. Both Robert and Micheal are awesome guys and have had a wild life as Rock Stars. From the beginning, to the new Stryper Christmas album, we talk about the bands longevity, their faith, having their equipment stolen, getting to play with KISS and Metallica. Wishing they had played with Van Halen and cars, muscle cars and dream cars. I hope you enjoy our time with Robert. For me, it was sweet (pun intended). https://stryper.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@StryperChannelhttps://www.facebook.com/Stryper/https://www.facebook.com/groups/161966015164533/https://www.facebook.com/TheRobertSweethttps://www.patreon.com/Stryper #robertsweet #stryper #christianmusic #christianrock #electricjesus #heavenandhelltour #jesus #christianmetal #hairband #80srock #glamrock #drummer #rockdrummer #musclecars #michaelsweet
https://youtu.be/SoaELjC4Epo There are times I struggle to get guests forgetting I actually know people and just need to look through my fogged memory. It was one of those moments when it hit me, “Dude, you know Michael and Robert Sweet, duh!”. It was around the Christmas Holiday, Stryper just released their first Christmas Album “The Greatest Gift of All” when I reached out. Michael was game and connected me with his daughter to arrange the ZOOM and to get his brother Robert on board. I confirmed with Ellena that Michael was cool with being billed as Robert Sweet’s brother and vice versa that Robert was cool with being billed as Michael’s brother. All was cool and the schedule locked. I first met Michael on September 15th, 2020 when myself and the other Electric Jesus producers flew up to Plymouth, MA to personally screen the film for Michael and Lisa, while the rest of Stryper simultaneously streaming it in NV & SC. We were seeking the Stryper stamp of approval on the film. We got it… Afterwards over dinner, at his and Lisa’s favorite Italian restaurant we had a fantastic time talking with him about the film, the band and life. Michael and I kept in touch, chatting about a Stryper documentary film they were working to get into production and shows in my local areas. I guess I should have asked about the documentary in the interview. Eve and I have some friends in Charlotte who are Stryper fans and that is when I saw my first Stryper show. It was at Amos’ Southend in Charlotte and man I was amazed at the power of Michael’s voice, how tight the band was and Robert’s energetic drumming style. They ROCKED and still do. Then a couple of years later we moved to San Antonio and we got to see them play again. Nothing like an outdoor rock show in San Antonio in August. Yes, I’m being sarcastic. That may the closest to Hell’s heat the band ever played. Yes, I’m being funny. The night before the show in San Antonio, Perry Richardson and I went out and enjoyed cigars and catching up until about 1am. Michael passed to save his voice. I have also been friends with Perry’s sister Sheri back in Myrtle Beach since the late 70s. I’m working on having Sheri as a guest. Well, I can say I had a great time talking with Michael about, music, the myth of the Heaven & Hell tour, being a Christian and how people want to bring you down rather than be lifted up. We laughed about literally arguing with people about shows that didn’t happen and that my sister doesn’t own a house on the Blvd. We talk about the moment when he felt as a musician that the band had MADE IT… How they are still touring, recording and have out survived many Rock & Roll peers. You know what, To Hell With The Devil, let’s get this episode started. Enjoy your time with Michael Sweet, lead singer for Stryper and brother of Robert Sweet the world famous drummer for Stryper. https://stryper.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@StryperChannelhttps://www.facebook.com/Stryper/https://www.facebook.com/groups/161966015164533/https://www.facebook.com/TheMichaelSweet #michaelsweet #stryper #christianmusic #christianrock #electricjesus #heavenandhelltour #jesus #christianmetal #hairband #80srock #glamrock
https://youtu.be/-7G1geVG6hE Our guest is Nicole Mattox, a super star Vertical Drama actress on a fast rise to fame. She is also the daughter of a famous newscaster. We featured Nicole’s mom, Leslie Mouton, a few episodes back. Leslie was a San Antonio KSAT news anchor who became known worldwide for documenting her battle with cancer. One night during the height of her treatment she did the evening newscast sans her wig. She wanted to let people in treatment, and in life, know that your hair did not define you or your cancer. Next thing she knew she was on Oprah, Good Morning America, featured in magazines and was being celebrated around the world. Her daughter Nicole is just as stunning as her mom, just as full of energy and life as Leslie and so just as fun to talk with. So talk we did… We talk with Nicole about what it was like growing up as the daughter of a local San Antonio news anchor. About being the daughter of a former Air Force fighter pilot who happened to have been stationed in Myrtle Beach in the 80s. One was almost impossible to escape and the other made days on the lake more exciting. We talk about moving to LA, about what path lead to acting and who some of her dream co-stars are. As a former film, tv producer and part time actor, I really loved learning about the Vertical Film / Drama world. Nicole is the winner of the 2025 “Vertical Queen Award”, aka best actress award. I have a great teacher to walk me through this hot media trend. Some of these verticals have over 3 million views and huge international audiences. I have to admit I get drawn in as I’m scrolling. I have even watched some of Nicole’s before I knew who she was. The more I started following Nicole’s social media accounts the more fascinated I became. She has an amazing loyal and fast growing fan base. Let’s hope they all share Nicole’s episode and subscribe to Relatively Famous! Not only has Nicole won the Vertical Queen Award, she and co-star Seth Edeen were nominated for the “Best Chemistry” award also. As a super cool bonus Seth Edeen was in the studio during our recording and I asked him to sit down and join Nicole during the last 5 mins of the show. I can see why they were nominated for best chemistry! https://www.instagram.com/nicolemattoxhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm11476913/https://www.tiktok.com/@nicole_mattoxhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61578345971247https://www.facebook.com/seo.shine.2024 #verticaldrama #verticalvideo #verticalfilms #nicolemattox #sethedeen #KSAT #fighterpilot #myrtlebeach #myrtlebeachairforcebase #lesliemouton #queenaward
https://youtu.be/Tjks9ZlehOI My friend Christy Crandall, a producer in the Santa Rosa film community suggested I look into the actor Cayman Cardiff. She informed me that Cayman is a popular actor in the fast growing Vertical Video / Film trend and that his mom, September Cardiff, is awesome and would be a great guest. Cayman is on the rise and cusp of Hollywood / Film fame, and having September on is kind of like Episode #15 with John Iseman – Madison Iseman’s dad. Both episodes are fun perspectives of life when their child is becoming a movie star. With Cayman’s career, there is a rapidly growing trend and huge audience in the Vertical Video / Film market. To fans of these internet sensations, Cayman Cardiff is a big star. Vertical Video / Film fans love him in “Under the Hood” and “A Vampire in the Alpha’s Den” among others. As an actor Vertical Video / Film is a shooting star to the top of the fame game these days. So I texted September, we chatted and she was on board. Once I learned what September does for her career I knew she would be fun and full of energy. September has this amazing live production that she takes to libraries and schools all over Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia and places in-between to promote reading. Her productions includes puppets, magic, songs and interactive fun to encourage and engage young people in the joys of reading. She also is an author of children’s books, see the link below to learn more. I don’t know why, but I was surprised when she told me was a scholarship awarded basketball player in college. So I asked her, how tall are you? September is also a BOYMOM of four, so she had a lot to chat about. Cayman and his brothers were recruited at an early age to help mom in her productions and commercials. She believes that is where the acting bug started, even though Cayman was on the path to being an Orthopedic Surgeon before modeling and acting became his profession. After the basketball comment, I had to ask about the boys heights… 6’2” to 6’6”, with Cayman being 6’4”. To mom’s surprise baby brother Tazman, has moved to LA and is following Cayman’s footsteps to also pursue an acting career. I’m sure we’ll see them acting together in brother / buddy movie in the near future. Are you listening Hollywood writers? September was even forgiving of me when I flubbed a credit of Cayman’s right at the beginning of the interview. I actually looked Cayman’s credits up, but at the same time researched another actor’s IMDb. Well, I flipped them in my interview. No edits, foot in mouth, AGAIN… I own my mistakes and another vertical video series got a shout out. Learn more about September’s reading programs and books by clicking her links below. www.temberstales.comhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm13604121/https://www.instagram.com/caymancardiff/https://www.facebook.com/caymancardifftalent/ temberstales@gmail.com #verticalfilms #reading #childrensbooks #collegebasketball #actor #verticalvideo #caymancardiff #september #kentucky #library #southcarolina #georgia
https://youtu.be/aMZur8zjfsg Karen Knotts father was the top notch, first rate, five time Emmy winner, comedic actor known around the world as Deputy Barney Fife, Leader of the Apple Dumpling Gang, The Incredible Mr. Limpet and Three’s Company Mr. Furley, yep Karen’s father is actor Don Knotts. My friend and writer / director of the documentary “The Mayberry Effect” connected me with Karen and Dixie Griffith (Episode #51) telling me what a wonderful person Karen truly is and how I should make sure to get her on the show. After a few hiccups we were finally able to connect and make it happen. Karen was a Librarian for most of her career, I know it sounds like a setup for an “Andy Griffith Show” set-up. She now is a standup comic, actress and loves sharing stories about her father and her career path. We did chat a lot about her family life growing up, and what her one woman show is about. We also reflected on Don and his career in film and tv, what a great father he was and just how good of an actor he really was. Karen loves being a part of the Mayberry Family, meeting fans of the Andy Griffith Show and hearing how her father and the show touched their lives. It has had a lasting impact on my life. She is also thrilled when his Three’s Company fan base shares stories and their love for her dad with her. I have watched clips of Karen’s comedy and show and I have to say if she is playing in a town near you, get tickets and check out her show. So I’m going to “Nip it in bud” and end these show notes here so you can jump right into Karen’s episode.
https://youtu.be/WWDTXbyZlmQ This episode is a first for Relatively Famous. I’m calling it a double-dipping episode. Jack & Davis Reid are Harold & Don Reid of the legendary country group The Statler Brothers, grandsons. The double dip is they are also the sons of the duo Wilson Fairchild’s Wil and Langdon Reid, the sons of Harold & Don Reid from Episode #40. Like their fathers, I found Jack & Davis to be funny, talented and fun to interview. But unlike their dads they perform under a clear cut identity, JACK & DAVIS. Just kidding Wil & Langdon, Wilson Fairchild is a cool name for a band. Jack & Davis are young and have a great outlook on life, music, their career and social media trolls. They could care less what trolls have to say and sometimes for fun they taunt them back. They do like when folks are kind and positive and will often personally respond to those social media questions and comments. They are cousins, best friends and business partners, yet they still seem to enjoy singing, hanging out, traveling, finishing each other’s thoughts and writing songs together. I wondered about how I might relate to these young men before we started recording, after all they’re closer to my son’s age and I can be a little bit of a “get off my lawn you dang kids” grumpy old man. However I truly enjoyed talking with them, learning about how they became a duo, it wasn’t a natural progression. Being in their 20s, I had to ask why they sometimes wear those matching outfit like old classic country bands and singers? These two young men just love what they do and really don’t care if people don’t like their music or tell them to get over their grandfather’s Statler Brothers connection. Jack & Davis aren’t doing it so much for fans but for their enjoyment. They truly love singing songs of their granddads and feel sometimes the world could use some of those songs. Jack & Davis are earning their way in the world of country music and not coasting on their grandfathers or fathers coattails! Ok, they do sometimes share a tour bus with their dad’s. But who wouldn’t want to ride in a bus over a van, right? They are working hard and playing shows that build a career and strong fan base, not quick internet one hit wonders. What a blast and energetic interview Jack & Davis proved to be. These two clearly love each other, love what they do and love to share it with fans, both new and old. I hope you enjoy their conversation as much as I did. https://www.relativelyfamous.net/episode-40-wil-langdon-reid-harold-don-reid-sons/https://jackanddavisreid.com/https://www.facebook.com/jackanddavisreidmusic/https://www.instagram.com/jackanddavisreidmusic/?hl=enhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTUsCoWaUrQ4m03akKm-bNA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTysh5M_SOw Leslie came to Relatively Famous through our Producer Philip Nelson. He and Leslie have known each other for many years, starting when she was a news anchor here in San Antonio at KSAT. Leslie’s daughter Nicole Mattox is an actress and winner of the Vertical Queen Award 2025, which is really the best actress award in the digital series world. Here on Relatively Famous have started dabbling in the Vertical Film / Video fame genre and were thrilled when Leslie accepted our invitation to be a guest. Please Google Nicole Mattox (or click some links below) to learn more about her career. Here in San Antonio Leslie has been a local celebrity since her days as a KSAT new anchor and beyond, so Nicole also qualifies as a guest. At the age of 35 Leslie was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. Rather than try and hide or pretend all was well, Leslie allowed camera crews to follow her journey. She showed viewers what life is like when fighting cancer, the treatments, the surgeries, chemo and radiation therapies. It was during this time that Leslie chose to anchor the news one night without her wig which lead to world-wide recognition with appearances on Oprah, Good Morning America and even my old stomping grounds, Inside Edition. Leslie left KSAT in 2020 and now devotes her energy to Morgan’s Wonderland Inclusion Foundation based here in San Antonio, TX. She was thrilled to learn that our sponsor pushes inclusion for all people in their promotion of the Myrtle Beach area along with Traveling the Spectrum on Peacock and now wants to learn more about how “The Beach is for Everybody”. Having never met Leslie before this interview I was very inspired and impressed with her story, her journey as a cancer survivor and her joy of giving back to the community. She is so down to earth and has a fantastic perspective on Nicole’s career and success as an actress. Fans of Nicole’s and the vertical films Breaking the Ice, Snatched a Billionaire One Night and Found a Homeless Billionaire Husband on Christmas will love hearing Nicole’s mom’s story! #cancer #verticalvideo #verticalfilm #digitalseries #verticaldrama #morganswonderland #KSAT #oprah #insideedition #sanantonio #chemo #chemotherapy #radiationtherapy #newsanchor #utaustin #longhorns #ut #utlonghorns https://morgans.org/ https://www.lesliemouton.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/leslie-mouton-59474563 https://www.imdb.com/name/nm11476913/?ref_=fn_t_1
https://youtu.be/fZjh3KkG0nU I am going to go ahead and admit it right here, right now. Growing up my sister and I had several 45s of Brandon’s father’s family band. Yes we were fans of The Osmonds, Donny as a solo and as a family we watched The Donny & Marie Show. Vanna was even a guest on Donny & Marie’s talk show several years ago. In this episode I have a fantastic conversation with Brandon Osmond, son of Donny Osmond. I was introduced to Brandon by our sponsor visitmyrtlebeach.com and after almost 6 months of back and forth we were finally able to lock in a date to record. I wasn’t sure what to expect because in my mind I assumed it would be a bubbly Osmond interview. What I found out was Brandon is a very down to earth family man working hard to establish his career and provide a great life for his children. He is also very aware of the Osmond legacy. He is super family oriented, proud of the mark The Osmonds have left on the music world and very in tune with the shifts both up and down of his father’s career. We talked about his time in Myrtle and working with Visit Myrtle Beach. Yes, a shameless plug. I loved the story he tells of Michael Jackson calling his dad and the impact that call had on his perspective of his father’s career. We chat about the joy he experienced as kid hanging out backstage during Donny’s Broadway days as the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This episode is one that you really must listen to or watch on YouTube, I really can’t do justice trying to summarize our conversation in show notes. When Brandon’s book comes out I think I may have to have him on again for a part 2. Or maybe one of his 4 brothers would be fun. So forgive the shortness of my description and jump into the world of Brandon Osmond, son of Donny, nephew of Marie, Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay and Jimmy. myrtlebeach #donnyosmond #theosmonds #onebadapple #donnyandmarie #marieosmond #utah #michaeljackson https://brandon-osmond.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandon-osmond-9bab4a11 https://www.youtube.com/c/brandonosmond https://donny.com/
https://youtu.be/wvqYhKdnsCk Growing up, and even to this day I am a Three Stooges Fan. Like a large amount of the Three Stooges fan base it is Moe, Larry & Curly that are my favorite Stooges trio. Thanks to social media I was able to connect with Bard “Curly G’ Server. Brad is the grandson of Curly Howard of The Three Stooges. I guess that makes him a Great Nephew to Moe & Shemp Howard too. But that’s another tale, let’s stick with Curly. Brad’s mother Marilyn was Curly Howard’s daughter. After Brad’s grandmother divorced Curly in 1940, Marilyn’s mother remarried a man named Moe Diamond. At the age of 14 when her mother remarried Marilyn closed the door on any connection to Curly Howard for many many years. As a youth watching tv with his siblings, Brad was naturally attracted to Three Stooges short reels yet had no idea he was related to Curly, Moe and Shemp. Brad, a self-proclaimed class clown, was and is always doing wild and crazy things for a laugh. Strangely like his grandfather Brad took to physical comedy at an early age and has mastered some of Curly’s signature moves. After he and his siblings were told their biological grandfather was actually Curly Howard and the shock settled down, they were also told not to talk about it out of respect for their grandfather Moe Diamond. Marilyn was also worried about lawsuits regarding The Three Stooges rights. And as Brad says, who was going to believe him, this kid they all knew for years suddenly telling all his friends “yeah Curly on The Three Stooges is my granddad”. As an adult I still sometimes have that reaction regarding Vanna. Time, understanding and the legal issues around The Three Stooges settled has finally opened the door for Brad and his siblings to talk about their lives, meet fans of their grandfather and become a part of the extended Howard and Fine families. Today, Brad performs as “Curly G”. He has a YouTube channel where he and his comedy partner honor The Three Stooges and their legacy. He shares his story wherever he is asked and loves to make people laugh. He pays homage to his roots by taking a lot of physical abuse in the name of comedy. Plus Brad is just an all-around cool guy to sit and talk with. Brad loves his family and is super proud of his wife and daughter. Referring back to opening notes, and as Brad states in his interview, take nothing away from Shemp, Joe and Curly Joe as they also contribute to the endearing longevity of The Three Stooges. All of them, Moe, Curly, Larry, Shemp, Joe and Curly Joe had successful acting careers with and without The Three Stooges and were all amazing actors. https://youtu.be/pS2253ALDss Back in Episode #30 we interviewed Marcus King’s father, Marvin King. In this episode we get a glimpse into the world of being Marcus King’s sister, Holland King. I love taking with siblings because I can relate to a shadow cast and looking for our sunshine. Although Holland does play a little saxophone she is not musically enthralled like her dad and brother. Holland loves Rock & Roll but has no desire to be center stage. Holland will proudly tell you “I’m blue collar and I’m the fighter of family”. To hear her talk about trying to get Marcus to put down his guitar come outside and play or climb a tree or even jump off the roof is hilarious. She says, nope he would sit on the porch and watch, cause all he wanted to do was just play his guitar. Holland tells us growing up she was living in a house where all she heard was guitar plucking and picking. She laughs now but she tells us somedays back then all she wanted was to be seen and heard, but all there was, was dad and Marcus’s guitars a plucking and a picking. Now when she and Marvin get together, he’ll sit the guitar down and enjoy their time together talking. When Holland says she’s Blue Collar, she means it. Holland is a spitfire, no holds barred dump truck driver! She loves it!!! But has plans to sign on as tour bus driver for an unnamed rock band. She loves driving her trucks, being a single mom to her two boys and getting quality time with father, brother and family. We also had a serious conversation about standing in the shadow and feeling invisible when the show is over and fans swarm Marcus and his dad. Well Holland, thanks to Relatively Famous, both you and I are no longer invisible and we telling our stories loud and proud. #ericclapton #stevierayvaughn #dumptruck #bluecollar #singlemom #truckdriver #roadie #guitarpickin #eminem #jellyroll #chrisstapelton #tourmanager #tourbusdriver #manmoney #dumptruckdriver
